Trump’s EPA Has Cleaned Up Seven
Of The Most Toxic Sites In The US

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) partly or completely cleaned seven of the most toxic land sites, called Superfund sites, in the U.S. in 2017, according to the EPA. Of the seven sites designated for cleanup, three were completely cleansed, while four others still require some work. The cleanup effort is a significant improvement over the year prior when the EPA completely cleaned one Superfund site and parts of another. “We have made it a priority to get these sites cleaned up faster and in the right way,” EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt said in a statement. “By creating a streamlined task

Who knew? This is huuuge news and absolutely no one has reported it. If Obama had done this the greenies would be screaming with joy and shouting his accolades. The list of wonderful accomplishments of the Trump administration is long. It´s too bad they aren´t widely reported.

This, and only this, is the proper use for the EPA. The rest is just bureaucracy on steroids.

It would be interesting to know if the same amount of money was spent both years. Bureaucrats have a talent for doing the bare minimum of constructive work needed to keep the funds flowing while consuming the maximum amount of money with paperwork, studies, and status reports.

Um, yeah. The headline of the Daily Caller is not really what happened and is not what is contained in the EPA´s Press Release. I personally worked on two of these sites (starting in the 90s).

I´m a big fan of Pruitt, and the focus on getting things done. However, these didn´t get cleaned up in one year. They were "de-listed" from the National Priorities List (NPL) in 2017. Meaning that they were cleaned up over years and reached the point at which they were no longer a human or ecological risk.

There could have been some administrative hold up by the Obama administration on delisting. For example, Obama´s EPA may not have wanted to delist them yet for "social justice" reasons. That would not surprise me.

But, come on, this is just bad reporting.

Here is the link that was cited in the story. Read the press release. It may be semantics as #5 is implying or it may be imprecise journalistic description of what the Sec´y did. The fact that he was looking at progress on these sites is what we elected PDJT to do.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently told the White House he might have to leave his job if President Trump fired his deputy, Rod J. Rosenstein, who oversees the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the exchange. Sessions made his position known in a phone call to White House counsel Donald McGahn last weekend, as Trump’s fury at Rosenstein peaked after the deputy attorney general approved the FBI’s raid April 9 on the president’s personal attorney Michael Cohen. Sessions’s message to the White House, which has not previously been reported, underscores the political firestorm
