Beware Romney & Trump
Impeachment Attempts…

DC Whispers, by Staff

Two Democrats were just sworn in to the Senate this week: Doug Jones of Alabama and Tina Smith of Minnesota. One man waits in the wings to do the same – former GOP presidential candidate, Mitt Romney. The Trump White House is likely watching the Senate developments very closely as they could prove pivotal to ongoing attempts to destroy the Trump presidency. Smith is simply a side move for Democrats, but Jones is a big gain. He is the first Democrat to represent Alabama in the Senate in a generation. It is believed both Smith and Jones support the “Impeach

Romney would be another vote for impeachment. Count on it.

Apparently nearly every attorney is a “constitutional scholar”, but not being even your average slip and fall lawyer, I suspect there should be some reason or excuse in order to talk of impeachment. Other than funny hair. With Andrew Johnson and Clinton I could understand the attempt.

It takes 67 votes in the Senate to impeach. Does anyone here actually think that´s a possibility? Do you think they want to go down in history as the reason for a full-scale revolution?

Mitt Romney will be another reason Trump won´t be impeached. Impeachment, of course, takes place in the House but House members must be cognizant of the likelihood of conviction in the Senate.
Where there is no likelihood, impeachment too becomes unlikely. Romney is a man of reason and moderation. He is not a hothead and it is difficult to see him voting for conviction on the basis of any of his stated reasons for disliking Trump. They are not "high crimes and other misdemeanors . . "
The article is paranoia in written form.

If I were Trump, I might even show up to campaign for the Democrat running against Mittens.

#3 is right, along with the fact that a big percentage of the Republican congress critters who would vote to impeach President Trump on some baloney charge like not liking Trump or not being in tune with his political policies, who are from states won by Trump, would be cutting their own throats. Remember the first rule of being a successful congress critter is self-preservation.

As #6 states impeachment is what the House does. Bill Clinton was impeached. However, he was not convicted by the Senate. That takes 67 votes. The only way the Senate would take up a trial for an impeached Donald Trump would be if Democrats controlled the Senate. There is way too much hysteria and fake news in the air.

As evidenced here, Romney remains the golden calf of big government republicans and other tendentious severe conservatives.

Like Hillary, Romney still believes he was deprived of a White House that is rightfully his, and he and his cabal of Wall Street grifters and money changers believe hey can get it all back. So it is hardly beyond the wall of believability that the mentality with such contempt for populist conservatism, small government and pro life ideals that they continue to yip and squeal with their daily postings, that such people will promote all efforts to rein flare the myth of Romney.

Romney by no means feels he should´ve won the White House. As reported by Boston Globe and others quoting Romney´s son, he never wanted the job, hated the whole idea of running, would´ve dropped out any day if someone would´ve run in his place. Romney ran a fraud. He belongs in jail. He´s the standard Sabotage Republican--having no ideology and no soul-- who exists just to criticize Republican voters (who to this day have no political party behind them), and block the country from getting the candidate it needs. The media like him because he lost and is guaranteed to lose again should he run. He also promoted global warming fraud.

Leaving no stone unturned in digging into President Trump’s reported collusion with Russia to steal the 2016 election, sources familiar with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team’s published leaks posit the investigation has undertaken a groundbreaking development: the exhumation of former Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev. Disinterring Khrushchev from his marbled tomb in Novodevichy Cemetery, Moscow, could inflame Trump enablers’ already desperate claims that Mueller’s investigation is far afield from its original mandate. But Russia-gate analysts are unmoved. “There’s a reason it’s called a ‘counterintelligence’ investigation,” asserted Rolf Diggs, a teaching assistant specializing in Soviet-era animal husbandry. “Sure, Americans remember Khrushchev’s 1959 visit to the

It’s obvious. Donald Trump’s entering the political fray in 2015, throwing his hat in the ring to run for president, forced Andrew McCabe to abandon integrity and good sense. Any possibility that this brash, unqualified, business mogul might cross the Oval Office threshold had to be prevented at all costs, and McCabe was one of those compelled to stand strong for that rightful cause. At least, that’s how he and much of the Swamp think about their desertion of ethical standards. Two ominous tweets, one written by former CIA Director John Brennan, the other by former United Nations Ambassador Samantha Power, openly threaten a sitting president — President Trump. This must be investigated. Both of these tweets raise enormous questions, not only about what is meant by these threats, but what kind of inside information these former Obama officials might be receiving from unauthorized sources. Friday night, after the long overdue firing of Andrew McCabe, the disgraced former acting FBI director, the president tweeted to the American people that McCabe’s termination (and possible loss of pension) marks a “great day for the hard

Last year Tom Nichols, an ardent Never Trump Republican, published a popular book called The Death of Expertise: The Campaign Against Expertise and Why It Matters. “Americans have reached a point,” argues Nichols, “where ignorance, especially of anything related to public policy, is an actual virtue.” For “to reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they’re wrong about anything.” It seems to stand to reason that mass education would have produced a more curious and educated citizenry.
