´Dirty, bloody and lots of sex´:
how Denis Villeneuve´s Cleopatra will
rip up Hollywood´s rule book

The Telegraph (UK), by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:M2, 1/3/2018 10:03:10 AM

One of the greatest classics of cinematic history is being given a Game of Thrones-style makeover by a Hollywood screenwriter. David Scarpa has said he would remake the Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton film, Cleopatra, as a "tight, dirty, fast two-hour movie, that was very sort of visceral". Scarpa, who wrote Ridley Scott´s awards season favourite All The Money in the World, has been attached to the ill-fated Cleopatra film that various Hollywood power players have been trying to release for several years. The new film is set to be directed by Denis Villeneuve, who directed 2017´s Blade Runner sequel

Comments:
Remind me to forget about it. Hollywood can take the new Cleo and place it carefully in a very dark place.

I´m sorry, but I have all but given up on the #MeToo movement. I´ve seen too many Democrat dirty trick campaigns from Ferguson to Occupy. The easiest way to know you´ve been had is how quickly the campaign ends after the election. The anti-Republican activists who started this campaign were able to kill Roy Moore´s Senate run and get rid of some well known Hollywood lechers at the same time. Look how fast they are now lining up for ´Dirty, bloody and lots of sex´ roles. These people are all basically perverts and the thought of them being offended by sexy banter is laughable.

**I´m only talking about the Hollywood set and not true harassment claims.

This is Hollywood Hot Air timed for a slow news period. This pic has knocked around for nearly a decade. It hasn´t been been greenlighted and certainly not with this writer who is looking to generate buzz.

Lots of pics of Liz looking gorgeous and Richard looking broody are good for clicks though.

Seven students at an elementary school in Prince George’s County cut their wrists at school using blades from pencil sharpeners, according to officials. Officials with Prince George’s County Public Schools said a concerned parent at William Paca Elementary School in Hyattsville came forward on March 29 and an investigation was launched. It was revealed that the students used blades out of pencil sharpeners to cut themselves, officials stated. All seven students were seen by the school nurse and none of the children were taken to the hospital, according to officials. School counselors were brought in to speak with the students.

Net Neutrality repeal: Democrats vow to force

A push by Congress to reinstate recently discarded net neutrality rules is gaining momentum, with backers gaining enough support to force a vote. Last month, the Federal Communications Commission voted to repeal 2015 rules that required internet service providers to treat all traffic equally. Backers called the rules clumsy and unnecessary, arguing the Internet had flourished without such protections. But the vote provoked a national backlash from elected officials, technology companies and internet users worried the move would undermine an open internet by segregating it into faster and slower lanes. Almost as soon as the FCC voted, attorneys general were

The surprise visit marks the highest-level contact between the United States and North Korea since 2000. Mr Trump is expected to hold a summit with Mr Kim by June. Details are being worked out, the US president said. South Korea has also signalled that it may pursue a formal resolution of the longstanding conflict on the peninsula. President Moon Jae-in

As deputy FBI director, Andrew McCabe received a phone call on August 12, 2016 -- less than three months before the presidential election -- from the Obama Justice Department, in which he apparently was pressured to shut down the FBI´s investigation into the Clinton Foundation (CF), an organization that some critics allege was used as a multi-million dollar pay-for-play operation to buy access to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Warmonger. Maniac. The Washington Post in January reported most Americans don´t trust President Trump with the nuclear "button." There were even somber pieces about keeping the president from launching missiles. We have the dumbest political press in Washington imaginable. It is just as well. We have to put the dummies somewhere. Keep them in the newsrooms, and away from important places such as the operating theater at the hospital, the drafting room in the engineering department, and the kitchens of McDonald´s. Today news leaked that North Korea and South Korea will reach a peace agreement.

SAN DIEGO - Fayaz Nawabi has never met President Donald Trump. But he credits the president with convincing him to run for office. Nawabi, a 31-year-old candidate for San Diego City Council, supports almost everything that Trump opposes: He is pro-affordable housing, pro-environment, pro-immigrant and pro-refugee. That makes him part of the blue wave of new liberal candidates spurred to run by Trump´s election and policies. But Nawabi is also part of a notable subset: the blue Muslim wave. More than 90 American Muslims, nearly all of them Democrats, are running for public office across the country this year. Many

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.
