A Democratic lawmaker in the U.S. House of Representatives berated President Trump for not spending enough time with his 11-year-old son, Barron. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) made the disgusting charge on New Year´s Eve -- when Trump, first lady Melania and Barron were all actually attending a party together. ´He golfs when he could be reading or be in church or be with his family. Never see him with Barron," Cohen wrote on Twitter. "You´d think he´d be golfing with Dad occasionally but narcissists only engage in activities where they are the show." (Tweet) Cohen -- among a group of Democratic
This jackwagon should be hounded out of Congress. Where was his morality when Obamboozer was running all over the country golfing (if you call it that) with his buddies. What a pathetic, despicable excuse for a human being.
President Trump is sorta´ busy during the day. as most father´s are. At some point in the day he retreats to the White House residence. There he spends time with his family. What you don´t see doesn´t mean he is not a solid family man. I think otherwise. You don´t see lot of Barron which is fine. He goes to school and likely has homework. I believe the Trumps keep Barron away from the prying eyes and ears of the media so he isn´t spied on or ridiculed for whatever nasty, mean thing they can come up with. Congressman Cohen, how much time do you spend with your children?????? Ah sure, I know, you have a job that keeps you busy. Silly me!
I´m not familiar with Rep. Cohen, so I did a quick web search... he´s pro-abortion (no surprise, since he´s a "D"), and if he has kids, he doesn´t make any mention of it on his website, nor is there anything in a quick web search.
Is he a noted authority on family relationships, or does he just pontificate like one?
(My mother had SERIOUS misgivings about voting for Trump, particularly after the Billy Bush surfaced. But the alternative was Hillary... she ended up voting for Trump based on how close he seemed to his children, and how well-reared they seemed to be.)
There is a big difference between President Trump´s golfing outings and a lot of former President Obama´s golfing outings. Trump appears to only golf on weekends and while he is on vacation. Obama used to golf on weekday (federal workday) afternoons while in DC, and also on weekends and while he was on vacation. I can see where congress critters could complain when the President takes off during afternoons on federal workdays and goes golfing, but not on weekends and while the President is on vacation.
The President´s children should be out of bounds, unless they somehow violate the law and are arrested.
Few people are aware that Tennessee Democrat Steve Cohen majored in Body Language in the remedial high school he is alleged to have attended. Cohen minored in Crystal Ball Gazing. His hobby is said to be Palm Reading. But only Left Palms.
Presidents get holidays and weekend respites. Trump does not take a salary, plays golf at his golf course. And by the way, Barron was there, along with the rest of the Trump family. PDT will go down in history and one of our greatest presidents, Obama will go down as a traitor and the worst.
A 64-year-old man, a paternity test, and the young woman he thought was his daughter -- no, that isn’t the tagline for an episode of “Maury” but a peculiar development in the life of Tennessee Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen.
Cohen, a prolific tweeter, was discovered corresponding with a 24-year-old aspiring model while sitting in the House chamber during the president’s State of the Union address in February. The tweets, thanking the woman for watching the speech, wishing her a happy Valentine’s Day, and telling her he loved her, were soon deleted -- but not before raising many eyebrows. Cohen later explained that the woman was Victoria Brink, whom he had discovered just a few years earlier was his daughter.
But as it turned out, the congressman didn’t do his homework. He said he learned about the daughter when Google-searching for an ex-girlfriend and found out she had a child; as he has described to NBC News at the time, “the math looked pretty accurate.” He also told NBC that he corresponded with the young woman’s mother, who told him they had “a lot of catching up to do.” He also mentioned that he took Brink on a tour of the Capitol and was proud to be her father.
A paternity test released Thursday, however, proved Cohen’s Google “discovery” to be false.
Homely as a mud fence and single. Cohen doesn’t seem the type any woman would have even a one-nighter with. Photo with article proves my point:
The real father of the young woman whom Rep. Steve Cohen thought was his daughter said Thursday he had no idea the lawmaker even knew his ex-wife and was “rocked” by his claims of paternity.
In an interview with POLITICO, John Brink said while he wasn’t aware his ex-wife, Texas lawyer Cynthia Sinatra, knew the Tennessee Democrat, he put the blame for the fatherhood controversy squarely on her, not Cohen.
“How could I get mad at him? I don’t see it as his fault, I see it as my ex-wife’s fault,” said Brink, president of Houston-based Environment & Energy Group. “I wasn’t aware that they know each other.”
Brink said he learned of the possible connection between his daughter, Victoria Brink, and Cohen only when the congressman was caught tweeting at her during the State of the Union address earlier this year. Cohen at the time claimed Brink was his daughter.
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN), a ´´black´´ white man from Memphis has such a mental block, there is no room for a brain, no matter how small. Being assaulted by Cohen, or in this case a nasty-gram word salad tossed at a child, is like being called ugly by a frog. Barron Trump has more class in his shoelaces than Cohen will ever achieve.
(As to where has Cohen been during the recent Obamanation, he was attached to Obama´s backside.)
If you are from TN, you know this guy is a maximum sleazeball, much less from Memphis. I, like many East Tennesseans wonder how sleazeballs like this get elected. But then again, we have Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker from East TN. Sleazeballs for sure, but not as bad as this idiot. Hopefully, we Tennesseans can get rid of all of them soon and get back to the days of Davy Crockett, Cordell Hull, Howard Baker, Fred Thompson and the like. I am reluctant to suggest others for fear of retribution. LOL
The way I hear it, Barron and the President golf together regularly and I hear the Kid´s almost better than the old man. So much for not spending time with his son. And just for my own edification, did Abu bin Bama ever spend time with his kids that didn´t include a $100 Million vacation with some shaved ice photo ops?
The House Intel panel’s passage of New York Republican Rep. Peter King’s motion to release the FISA abuse memo to fellow House members has rocked Washington, D.C. (Photo) Lawmakers from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) have called for the classified memo’s immediate release. According to Fox News contributor Sara Carter, the contents of the memo are so “explosive,” that it could end special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe once and for all.Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino warned the release of the FISA report will destroy the image of his former boss Barack Obama.“Take it to
It’s a collection unlikely to be duplicated: nearly 250,000 ancient Native American arrowheads, some as old as 12,000 years. North Carolina couple Moon and Irene Mullins amassed the relics over a half-century, and Moon willed it to his friend and caregiver Jerry Williams. The collection is featured on the FOX Business Network series, “Strange Inheritance with Jamie Colby Opens a New Window. .” The episode premieres Monday, Jan. 22, at 9 p.m. ET. “The Mullins Collection surpasses anything I’ve seen in private hands,” says Joe Candillo, Native American historian and a member of the Pascua Yaqui tribe. “It’s breathtaking. Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is a ranking member of the House Intel Committee and has been very aggressive with Deputy AG Rosenstein to find out more information about the phony Hillary-funded dossier. On Thursday, the House Intelligence Committee quietly voted to make available to fellow House members “a memo documenting abuse of the FISA program,” reports Fox News’ Chad Pergram. Shortly afterwards, DeSantis said the classified report compiled by the House Intelligence Committee is “deeply troubling” and raises serious questions as it relates to the ‘Russian collusion’ investigation.WOW.DeSantis tweeted, “The classified report compiled by House Intelligence is deeply troubling and raises serious
Two men were shot to death early Thursday in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side, police said. The state’s top cop issued a warning to California employers Thursday that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential widespread immigration crackdown.“It’s important, given these rumors that are out there, to let people know – more specifically today, employers – that if they voluntarily start giving up information about their employees or access to their employees in ways that contradict our new California laws, they subject themselves to actions by my office,” state Attorney General Xavier Becerra said at a news conference. “We will prosecute those who violate the
The Republican-backed federal tax bill flipped the tables on a never-ending question for California politicians: Will high taxes lead the state’s wealthiest residents to flee the Golden State for the comparable tax havens of Florida, Nevada and Texas? Republicans reliably raise that alarm when Democrats advocate for tax increases, like the 2012 and 2016 ballot initiatives that levied a new income tax on very high-earning residents. But now, with the federal tax bill cutting off deductions that benefited well-off Californians, the state’s Democrats suddenly are singing the GOP song about a potential millionaire exodus. “People with higher incomes pay a
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., cautioned Thursday that “people die, accidents happen” when the government shuts down, as it is poised to partially shut down Friday night if Congress doesn’t pass a government spending bill. It was her second shift in position on the bill in just one day. “Shutting down the government is a very serious thing. People die, accidents happen,” Feinstein told CNN. “You don’t know. Necessary functions can cease. There is no specific list you can look at and make a judgment: ‘Well everything is going to be just fine.’ You can’t make that judgment. So, I think
Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake is under fire after delivering an insulting and unhinged speech on the Senate floor attacking President Trump and comparing him to a dictator.Flake’s rant was in response to Trump’s criticism of the media but the so-called Republican senator made his remarks in front of a nearly-empty chamber. Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin – a Democrat – was the only senator to remain for Flake’s speech, joining a handful of journalists. (Video) “‘The enemy of the people’ was how the president of the United States called the free press in 2017,” Flake said Wednesday. “Mr. President, it is
House Republicans narrowly passed the short-term spending bill on Thursday night, hoping to avert a government shutdown before Friday, January 19. The House narrowly passed the short-term spending bill 230-197. The government will shut down on Friday, January 19 if it does not receive more funding. The stop-gap spending bill will fund the government through February 16, fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and delay several Obamacare taxes. The House Freedom Caucus staged a last-minute revolt against Speaker Paul Ryan and the rest of the House Republican leadership because the bill did not address long-term military spending. The Freedom Caucus also worried
A spokesperson for Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said Thursday that cease and desist letters sent to an unspecified number of individuals in October were sent because staffers were being harassed and have nothing to do with activists who have been protesting outside the senator´s office this week or payback for constituents simply voicing opposing views. Cotton´s communications director Caroline Rabbitt Tabler told the Washington Examiner the practice of sending these types of letters is "rare" and "only used under extreme circumstances" when previous warnings have not been successful. "Senator Cotton is always happy to hear from Arkansans and encourages everyone
The House Intelligence Committee voted today to allow all congressional members to view a summary report of classified documents behind the “Clinton Dossier”. As Byron York writes in the Washington Examiner: “At the committee’s meeting Thursday morning, Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., offered a motion to allow all House members to review a brief report prepared by the Republican majority summarizing the panel’s investigation into what GOP members call “FISA abuse.”” (Photos) All of the Republicans voted to allow the sunlight, Adam Schiff and all the Democrats on the committee voted to block the sunlight.[…] There will be no copies of
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., downplayed the inclusion of the Children´s Health Insurance Program in the Republican spending plan expected to reach the floor Thursday.Pelosi likened the inclusion to a "bowl of doggy-doo" disguised as a sundae, pointing to a series of issues that are not included in the bill that would make CHIP work more effectively, including funding for community health centers."This is like giving you a bowl of doggy-doo, put a cherry on top and call it a chocolate sundae. This is nothing," Pelosi charged during her weekly press conference. She argued CHIP funding should have been taken
WASHINGTON- President Donald Trump relentlessly congratulates himself for the healthy state of the U.S. economy, with its steady growth, low unemployment, busier factories and confident consumers. But in the year since Trump´s inauguration, most analysts tend to agree on this: The economy remains essentially the same sturdy one he inherited from Barack Obama.Growth has picked up, but it´s not yet clear if it can sustain a faster expansion. Hiring and wage growth actually slowed slightly from Obama´s last year in office. Consumers and businesses are much more optimistic, but their spending has yet to move meaningfully higher. "I don´t see any
Republicans are slamming Democratic Sen. Cory Booker for “mansplaining” to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen in a sharp and one-sided exchange Wednesday before a Senate committee. The New Jersey lawmaker blasted Nielsen´s "silence and amnesia" after failing to get the response he sought on her recollection of statements President Trump made in a meeting last week. Booker´s hostile tone prompted Republican National Committee Rapid Response Director Michael Ahrens to invoke the millennial term for males talking down to women.
A crazed, bug-eyed Cory Booker, junior senator from New Jersey, blasted Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristjen Nielsen during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday on immigration. Booker became so unhinged in his staged outrage that he repeatedly threatened Nielsen, with clenched fists pointed in her direction. Equal to Booker´s overt violation of Nielsen´s right to be treated without hostility and intimidation was the deranged content of his tirade. Nielsen had stated earlier she did not hear the president say the "s-hole" word at last week´s White House meeting on DACA. Booker went ballistic and accused Nielsen of covering up
Men can now look forward to a liberated future of wearing dresses. One such fashion designer, Alejandro Gomez Palomo of Spain, is helping to rush in that new era. According to the 25-year-old Palomo, whose public appearance looks as if Dracula spent a weekend at Liberace´s house, gender fluidity is a way of life he hopes that future men can share. In an interview with AFP, Palomo likened his fashion revolution to the ones ushered by Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent in the 20th century. "Chanel liberated women (after World War I) by dressing them in male fabrics like tweed,"
Pope Francis has conferred the title of “Commander of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Gregory the Great” on Lilianne Ploumen, a Dutch politician and vocal agitator for abortion rights. Last year, Ploumen founded a pro-abortion organization called She Decides, which offers funding and support for international NGOs that provide, facilitate or campaign for abortion. In an email to the Catholic Herald, Ms. Ploumen said that she was “very honoured” by the pontifical medal, which was sent via the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs last month. In an interview with Dutch radio, Ploumen said she views the honor as a
Obama’s current office, which is run by former de facto President Valerie Jarrett, is just a mile or so from the White House. It is at that location one sees a daily procession of donors, political operatives, party affiliates (BOTH Democrat and Republican) media friends (of which there are many) and more shadowy figures representing a myriad of foreign interests. And each day this office and its two primary inhabitants – Obama and Jarrett, are asked the same question: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT TRUMP? Obama being Obama, with his solar-system-sized ego intact, has been promising to do
Wednesday on CNN’s “New Day,” Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the network’s chief medical correspondent, proclaimed that based on President Donald Trump’s coronary calcium scores going back to the previous decade, Trump has heart disease. Gupta’s diagnosis came a day after Trump’s doctor, Navy Rear Adm. Dr. Ronny Jackson, offered his assessment of Trump’s health at a White House press briefing. “When you look at the findings you just put up there, Alisyn — this coronary calcium score is a score a lot of cardiologists use to try and be predictive and be proactive,” Gupta said. “And if the number gets up
CNN´s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta said Wednesday that he believes tests reveal that President Trump has heart disease. Gupta said dating back to 2009, President Trump started to have "these tests that are actually looking for the presence of calcium in the blood vessels that lead to the heart." "Steadily, up until just this past week when he had it performed again, those numbers have gone up," he said. "When they get to a certain range ... that means he has heart disease." Gupta then talked about his interaction Tuesday with President Trump´s doctor, Navy Rear Adm. Dr.
Microwaves are as damaging to the environment as cars and users must be taught how to cook more efficiently, scientists say. The ovens are responsible for 7.7 million tons of the carbon dioxide pumped out from the EU each year — the equivalent of 6.8 million cars. Researchers say they are fueling global warming with consumers overcooking food to blame. Microwaves account for the largest percentage of sales of all types of oven in the EU, with numbers set to reach 135 million by 2020. But scientists at the University of Manchester — the first to assess the environmental impact
After leaving office, President Ronald Reagan created the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award to recognize individuals who have fought to spread liberty worldwide. Nancy Reagan continued the tradition after her husband’s death, and in 2008 she bestowed the honor on human rights icon Natan Sharansky, who credited Reagan’s strong defense of freedom for his own survival in Soviet gulags. Reagan recognized that as leader of the free world, his words carried enormous weight, and he used it to inspire the unprecedented spread of democracy around the world. President Donald Trump does not seem to understand that his rhetoric and actions reverberate in
In an exclusive interview with Utah Gov. Gary Herbert, FOX Business was told that Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, will likely receive the backing of mega-donors, not just within Utah, but across the country as he gets ready to announce his candidacy. “He’s given me every indication that he’s running. He’ll have a lot of support from the wealthy people that he knows from when he ran for president. The people on the same list of donors that he had before for 2012, including those from Utah, is a very good place for him to raise money,” Herbert, a
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Tuesday condemned President Trump’s combative attitude toward the press and called on Congress to protect journalists worldwide. “Whether Trump knows it or not, these efforts are being closely watched by foreign leaders who are already using his words as cover as they silence and shutter one of the key pillars of democracy,” McCain said in an opinion piece published in The Washington Post. McCain called the Trump administration’s treatment of journalists “inconsistent at best and hypocritical at worst,” particularly when it comes to condemning attacks on the press abroad. McCain cited foreign leaders who have
