Will the Persian Renaissance Return

Way back when I worked as a columnist for The New York Sun, (2007) I kept getting a call from a mysterious man who insisted on meeting me in person. He told me I was referred by a writer who writes for the New York Times and that he wanted to give me an important story. I checked out the writer who confirmed that she felt the Sun would be a better fit --- in other words, this was not something the Times would be interested in but she thought it was worth exploring. Let´s hope it happens. The Iranian people deserve a lot better than having some over-glorified self-serving rag head controlling what they are allowed to think and when to think it. Hmmm...sounds familiar. Was like that here when Obie was still trying to transform us, no?

Flooded in free cash from their pal BarackHussein, who even enabled a "peaceful" way for them to acquire nukes, the Islamist tyrants must have done everything they could to help Hilly Corleone replace their pal in the White House and continue the gravy train. What a shock that President Trump, unlike his predecessor, actually supports the protesters, who for the first time since 2007 know they have a friend in the Oval Office.

Oh, and one more thing. Thank you Jimmy Carter for this mess that has great loss of freedom and life for the past 29 years.

The only good thing to say about Carter is he was better than Obama. That being said, he only had one term to to his damage.

#4, it’s more like 38 years and I believe that Carter beats Smidgen (at least for now) as being the worst president. Carter’s actions regarding the Shah caused the radical Muslims to come out of hiding and start their murderous rampage which resulted in September 11, 2001 among 30-40 thousand other terrorist atrocities. The blood of hundreds of thousands is on his hands.

As to 0bama - it remains to be seen if we will still be sufferering from his evil 40 years from now. I’m glad that I will be long gone by then.

I pray that PDT will be able to undo all of it, including removing Iran’s and NK’s nuke capabilities.

Ever notice that those on the Left/dems who are always screaming about "the people" never really do anything when real people are clamoring for freedom and liberty?

Iran before 1979 was a very western oriented society and the tragedy was that two Dem Presidents allowed them, to be shoved back into 8th century living. Let us hope that PDJT Trump can finally free them from their chains.

It matters not what the intentions were of both Carter and Obama. Through ignorance, ideology and overestimation of their own capabilities they managed to screw up the lives of thousands of people. As much as I would like to see the US help the Iranians with their revolution, the last few times we did that for anybody ended up badly. Cuba was probably our worst attempt but Iraq was messed up very badly too. From the signs we´ve seen in the past few weeks I think the Iranians are capable of getting their country back. All they need is weapons and it would not be hard to take them from their own police and security services. A few rifles and RPGs quietly left in caches in the desert would not hurt.

Obama never met a tyrant he didn´t like, be it the mullahs in Iran, Chavez in Venezuela, the Castros in Cuba, etc.

I believe that President Trump who unlike Obama believes in democracy, will do what he can legally do, to help the Iranian people.

One of the most appalling chapters in Obama´s presidency was in 2009 when he turned his back on the Iranian people who foolishly thought that he would help them. They were naive. Not only didn´t he help the people, he empowered their despotic rulers with the subsequent catastrophic Iran Agreement.

Why people continue to be "baffled" by obama´s position on pro-shiite muslim issues baffles me. He professed his allegiance to his muslim brothers, his distaste for anything white or American, and professed his own religious affiliation with little georgie. His support for the MB and morsi in egypt was blatant, as was his antagonism for his removal and the declaration of the mb as a terrorist organization. If you cant take him at his word (as only a fool would do) follow his actions. He was a muslim traitor to the core.

Yes. Obama didn´t seem to care the Mullahs put their henchmen on motorcycles, driving around whipping protestors, in 2009, killed people. Anything that gets a state Sharia Law, Obama was ok with. That explains his discrepancy in overthrowing Egypt, Yemen, Libya and attempted Syria but left Iran alone.

Ms.Colon’s reference to KingCyrusIIofPersia brings to mind a sermon traversing the Internet in 2016 that took into consideration the personality/potential effectiveness of presidential candidate DonaldTrump. Mr.Trump was described as being akin to WinstonChurchill, a man “needed to stop Hitler…and rouse a nation to never give up…” WinstonChurchill “was the right leader for that moment in England’s history.” The sermon went on to liken DonaldTrump to CyrusTheGreat(named by God before he was born)who was “dynamically used of God even though not perceived by many as a God follower.” Cyrus was used as God’s shepherd to “…fulfill all my purpose.”(Isaiah 44:28)

The sermon concludes with recognizing that DonaldTrump had already shaken the political system, and pondered whether or not Mr.Trump might be “…a Cyrus that is being raised up by God to preserve America?” That God has had a hand in America’s history, and hopes for His hand in America’s future.

President Trump has had a superb/positive impact on America in less than a year; perhaps his destiny is to include the shepherding of Americans, and inspire peoples of the world to rid their countries of despotic rulers so they may find peace within their nations.

Iran cannot export its revolution if its busy holding on to power at home. There is widespread discontent in Iran for a long time. The Mullahs and their cronies in the military aren´t much more than thugs hiding behind their religion. Corrupt to the core.

Obama could have helped with their overthrow, but chose to side with the thugs for a bogus peace treaty. Anything that weakens America.

Strongly suspect Trump will handle things differently. Maybe he will throw out Obama´s ´Peace´ treaty. He is already being critical of the Mullahs. Wonder if he will arm the protestors, directly or indirectly.

Russell Simmons has put his #NotMe campaign on ice, Page Six has exclusively learned. After the mogul’s fiery crusade to clear his name over sexual misconduct allegations went mysteriously quiet, his reps told us that Simmons had instead decided “that this is a time for women to speak.” In November and December, the Def Jam co-founder was accused of various forms of sexual misconduct — including rape and attempted rape — by some 13 women. Although he stepped down from his businesses, Simmons said on Instagram that he was committed to proving his innocence. On Dec. 14, he wrote, “Today, I begin

It’s February 2021, just a few weeks into the Oprah Winfrey Administration, and, far from healing America’s divides, it turns out that President Winfrey has only deepened them. Hundreds of thousands of Americans who had voted to re-elect President Trump take to the streets in mass protests in dozens of American cities, wearing white “Keep America Great” hats, carrying “resist!” signs, and driving pickup trucks with gun racks and bumper stickers that say “not my president.” These volunteer activists push Republican Congressmen and senators to vote against every single one of Ms. Winfrey’s cabinet nominees and judicial picks — even the

While Washington obsesses over a new book on White House intrigue, the Trump administration is reaching a critical point on the issue of immigration, one of the president´s top priorities and the subject of his most often-repeated campaign promises. There are multiple moving parts: DACA, a border wall, chain migration, the visa lottery, and — hanging over it all — funding the government. But everything hinges on DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, unilaterally imposed by Barack Obama to temporarily legalize nearly 800,000 people who were brought to the U.S. illegally when they were young. When President Trump rescinded DACA

A provocateur and media polemicist, Wolff has a penchant for stirring up an argument and pushing the facts as far as they’ll go, and sometimes further than they can tolerate, according to his critics. On the afternoon of November 8, 2016, Kellyanne Conway settled into her glass office at Trump Tower. Right up until the last weeks of the race, the campaign headquarters had remained a listless place. All that seemed to distinguish it from a corporate back office were a few posters with right-wing slogans. Conway, the campaign’s manager, was in a remarkably buoyant mood, considering she was about to experience a resounding, if not cataclysmic, defeat.
