House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes is blasting the Department of Justice and FBI after officials ignored congressional subpoenas and blew threw a deadline to turn over documents related to the infamous Fusion GPS dossier. In a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Nunes points out that not only did DOJ mislead his Committee about the existense of documents, they also unlawfully failed to comply with congressional requests. "Several weeks ago, DOJ informed the Committee that the basic investigatory documents demanded by the subpoenas, FBI Form FD-302 interview summaries, did not exist. However, shortly before my meeting with you in early

Is Alleged Attorney General Sessions aware that he´s the head of the DOJ and needs to clean out his septic tank of an organization or has he just completely recused himself of everything except his paycheck?

I´m at the point I want Trump to have them arrested, investigated, and shoot the wrong doers for treason.

There´s gotta be someone in DOJ, FBI, or CIA that aren´t partisan hacks.

If not, martial law, clean em out and start over. Enough, already.

Congress has virtually no power to prosecute. They are an investigative body If-----? someone agrees to be investigated.

It´s time to indict and seat a plethora of grand juries. We have new judges and there are plenty of attorneys that would jump at the chance to prosecute!

I realize that 2017 was a long time ago, but I can still recall a fellow named Sessions taking an oath to enforce the laws of the federal government. Perhaps that was for his job as AG or possibly as head of ICE or the National Park Service. It was so long ago that I can´t remember who is Attorney General in the Trump Administration.

If readers can recall who, if anyone, replaced the stunningly partisan and corrupt Loretta Lynch as AG, please drop a note.

Has DC declared itself to be a Sanctuary City where crooked politicians go to commit high crimes and acts of treason? Certainly appears that way to the average American living under the thumb of a government so corrupted it cannot police itself. The natives out in the hinderlands are getting restless when they see no one held accountable for the criminality that is running rampant among the pampered political class. Please explain to us why we should continue to pay taxes to enable the corrupt to live the high life and enjoy fine pensions and health care. Our patience is being stretched to the breaking point.

It´s very dangerous to lay down a Red Line. If you´re going to do it, you better have a plan B for that Line being ignored or you look like a Fool! Nunes sent these subpoenas out in August. Jeesh! Here we are in January and NOW he wants them to set up dates for Interviews. How about giving them 24 hours! Submit those documents or you will be picked up and taken to JAIL until you produce them! Right now they´re making a Laughing Stock of Nunes! Nobody is afraid of him! He needs to do SOMETHING to prove he means business!!

I still for the life of me wonder why Sessions is not making Rosenstein give up the documents. Congress has the legal right to have them. Sessions doesnt have to be involved but he certainly has the obligation to force Rosenstein to follow the law!

Perhaps the rest of you were way ahead of me in reaching this conclusion but I think blackmail is at the root of much that otherwise doesn´t make sense. It seems that every glimmer of hope is extinguished from Chaffetz to Gowdy. Why does an entity such as Fusion GPS exist? How many such firms exist? And we also now know that if nothing of substance exists in an opponent´s background that´s a minor issue, something will be made up, paying for false accusations, false dossiers, you name it.

I have been wondering for ages-- and I would have thought basic journalism 101 would require newspeople to include this info in any story dealing with contempt of Congress--what the penalty is for such a designation. It appears that the maximum penalty is $1000 and 1 year in jail. Not much, but it´s a start-- when will Eric Holder be paying his fine and serving his sentence ?

#21- Quite likely many others share the suspicion of blackmail—blackmail using leverages such as threats of disclosing personal and/or family skeletons in the closet, and/or threats of future harm to anyone (including family members) daring to expose and/or adjudicate criminal charges. While holding office, there may be government protective services; however, upon departure, such protection may become an individual’s personal responsibility. President Trump is to be admired/respected for many reasons, not the least of which is his courage in exposing/standing up to criminal activity within the government. May God send His holy angels to surround/protect him and his family.

Since Congress is all kabuki theater, I think there are other reasons for not meeting these deadlines: 1) It wouldn´t amount to a hill of beans even if they DID, and 2) doing so would allow someone in Congress to alert the wrongdoers so they can CYA or fly the coop.

In other words, I think justice is coming from somewhere besides Congress, so why give Congress/the enemy the ammunition to fight back?

And I´m not on the bash-Sessions train for a number of reasons. Although Trump has expressed some disappointment with Sessions, what he has said is ambiguous. He´s never come out and said he wanted him gone. That leads me to look at Trump´s actions. His ACTIONS indicate that Sessions is doing exactly what Trump wants. Otherwise, Trump would have fired him (and all arguments saying he couldn´t are ridiculous, in my opinion).

And lastly, this is an all out war and the stakes for Trump are WAAAY to high for Trump to be dilly-dallying around with an unreliable Attorney General. You DO NOT leave an enemy in such an important position when yours and your family´s lives are at stake!!

#18, You´re correct an indictment and arrest is in the hands of the AG at this point. That´s what should happen.

As far as Sessions malingering, I´m with #31. It is my hope that a fail safe case on each count is being made and Sessions is just laying low until he can spring the trap. That is my hope

At a recent speech in South Africa, former President Barack Obama criticized wealth inequality, saying those who have more money should share their earnings with the less fortunate. “Right now, I’m actually surprised by how much money I got,” Obama said of the more than $20 million he earned between 2005 and 2016. President Trump did the right thing by finally rejecting Vladimir Putin’s outrageous proposal to let his intelligence goons question US citizens, including a former ambassador to Moscow. Let’s hope he truly understands how unacceptable the idea is. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders Thursday claimed Putin had made the proposal “in all sincerity.” Nonsense: He made it as payback for special counsel Robert Mueller’s indictment of 12 Russian intel officers for trying to influence the 2016 presidential election. And because he’s intent on punishing those responsible for the 2012 Magnitsky Act, which can be used to sanction human-rights violators — and which

WASHINGTON — Anonymous evaluations of professors by their students can be caustic or catty. But they are also unfailingly candid, and collectively they paint a revealing picture of a teacher’s strengths and weaknesses. Over the last decade, about 350 law students at Harvard, Yale and Georgetown expressed views on classes offered by Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee. With rare exceptions, they praised his mastery of legal materials, intellectual rigor, fair-mindedness and accessibility. “I honestly believe I took a class that was instructed by a future Supreme Court justice,” a Georgetown student wrote in 2007.

In an era when the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact are now ancient history, everyone praises NATO as “indispensable” and “essential” to Western solidarity and European security. You can acknowledge that President Trump gave an embarrassingly weak performance at the press conference following his face-to-face meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, while rejecting the media’s weird preoccupation that Trump didn’t publicly insult Putin to his face. In 2018, every day goes down as a bad day if Trump didn’t use it to condemn Russia for interfering with the 2016 election. If you didn’t watch the conference live on Monday and instead only saw the media’s coverage of it, you’re forgiven for maybe falling under the impression that Trump disowned the U.S. intelligence community and pledged allegiance to Putin.

Zyler, wearing rainbow leggings, scrutinized a pair of hot-pink-and-purple sneakers. Kadyn, in a T-Rex shirt, fixated on a musical cube that flashed colorful lights. At a glance, the only discernible difference between these fraternal twins is their hair — Zyler’s is brown and Kadyn’s is blond. Is Zyler a boy or a girl? How about Kadyn? That’s a question their parents, Nate and Julia Sharpe, say only the twins can decide. The Cambridge, Mass., couple

President Trump’s longtime lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, secretly recorded a conversation with Mr. Trump two months before the presidential election in which they discussed payments to a former Playboy model who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump, according to lawyers and others familiar with the recording. The F.B.I. seized the recording this year during a raid on Mr. Cohen’s office. The Justice Department is investigating Mr. Cohen’s involvement in paying women to tamp down embarrassing news stories about Mr. Trump ahead of the 2016 election. Prosecutors want to know whether that violated federal campaign finance laws, and any

A recent poll shows grassroots Republicans approve of Presient Donald Trump´s performance in Helsinki, despite the best efforts of liberal Democrats and media pundits to trash the president for absolutely everything he did/does and said/says. The Axios/SurveyMonkey poll asked,"Do you approve or disapprove of the way Trump handled his press conference with Putin?" Seventy-nine percent of Republicans approved. "Who the hell are these people?" an incredulous Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC´s "Morning Joe," asked on Friday´s show. He and his ilk are stunned that President Trump would invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to the United States, when Trump´s recent meeting

Since her surprise primary victory over 10-term Congressman Joe Crowley in New York’s 14th District, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been promoted by the media as the prototype of a new generation of young progressives destined to replace the leadership of the Democratic Party. Unfortunately for her media boosters, however, she keeps blowing her lines. It’s not just her rote advocacy of single-payer healthcare and guaranteed government jobs, or even that she backs wacky ideas like abolishing ICE and occupying airports — Ocasio-Cortez is genuinely clueless. She outed herself, in several recent interviews, as functionally illiterate in economics, international relations, and history.

Rep. Maxine Waters warned supporters on Wednesday of potential "armed protests" against her after an extremist group called for ongoing demonstrations outside her office in Los Angeles. In a lengthy statement issued late Wednesday, Waters, D-Calif., said she’d been notified about forthcoming protests by the Oath Keepers, which she described as "an anti-government militia" that´s staged armed protests in cities across the country. She warned her supporters against being "baited" into counter-demonstrations or confrontations with the organization, which she said has a track record of "violent and provocative behavior." Liberals are sending care packages to female Democratic senators to oppose Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, including "pee-proof" underwear to use in their opposition to President Trump´s court pick. THINX and Icon, the companies behind the "period sex blanket" and absorbent underwear for bladder leaks, sent "endurance packages" to senators Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.).

Email Scandal: Last week we learned that a "foreign entity" may have been secretly receiving Hillary Clinton´s emails while she was Secretary of State, including many that contained classified information. And that the FBI apparently ignored this information during its "investigation." The reaction by the press to this bombshell? Crickets. At one point during Peter Strzok´s congressional testimony last week, Rep. Louie Gohmert made a stunning claim: FBI investigators were told that Clinton´s emails had been surreptitiously forwarded to a "foreign entity." And the FBI investigators who were allegedly conducting a thorough, unbiased, professional probe into Clinton´s

Beating your wife is worse than protesting during the national anthem. So, too, is sexually assaulting a woman. While that might seem obvious, it needs to be clarified given The Associated Press´ report Thursday that the Miami Dolphins are now including protesting during the anthem on their list of "conduct detrimental to the club." Under NFL rules, that´s an offense punishable by a suspension of up to four games. The Dolphins later told the AP that "all options are still open." But to give you an idea of how heinous at least one NFL team sees trying to draw attention to racial and economic inequality, a four-game suspension is

Michael Avenatti says he’s the “street fighter” Democrats need if they’re going to win the White House in 2020. Avenatti, a lawyer who has become a household name — or at least has sought to become one — with his media appearances representing adult-film star Stormy Daniels, says he’s “giving serious thought” to running for president. He says he’s skeptical that the politicians now seen as likely contenders in the 2020 presidential race can beat President Trump. The Democratic Party needs “a street fighter … someone that can give as good as they take,” he said. “Let us remember that

Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, the reported FBI lovebirds, are the poster children for the next “Don’t Text and Investigate” public service ads airing soon at an FBI office near you. Their extraordinary texting affair on their government phones has given the FBI a black eye, laying bare a raw political bias brought into the workplace that agents are supposed to check at the door when they strap on their guns and badges. It is no longer in dispute that they held animus for Donald Trump, who was a subject of their Russia probe, or that they openly discussed using the powers
