Could we face a mini ice age in the next 30 years?
Scientists make extraordinary prediction based
on the sun´s natural cycles... and it would
even reverse global warming!

The festive cold snap and Storm Dylan’s raging gales have brought a sharp dose of snowy winter misery to our shores. But if that seems bad enough, imagine our temperatures plummeting to such bone-aching lows that British rivers freeze for months at a time. Our streets would become impassable ice sheets, industry would grind to a halt, vital supplies would be stranded, hospitals overwhelmed and power supplies fail under the unprecedented demand. Similarly lethal chaos has occurred before, in the harshest period of a centuries-long European cold snap called the Little Ice Age. Between the 17th and early 19th centuries,

Comments:
Having been following the weather forecasts for Goose Creek, SC (has better National Weather Service forecasts for our town), I can be easily talked into an Ice Age. This Lowcountry sunshine part of South Carolina has turned already. See:

SNOW, they say. Tuesday night through Wednesday night. A temperature of 17°F tonight. That is surely part of an imminent Ice Age for this warm, er, once warm place on the shore. NWS says "Expect wind chills to range from 4 to 9 degrees above zero." And that´s NOT Centigrade.

Ah do declayah we will soon be in mukluks and snowshoes.

In the next 30 years? What about now? Air temperature of minus 14 deg F this am, forecast of -18 F tomorrow morning.

No wonder there are no brass monkeys in Iowa.

If I was a scientist who had spent the last 15 years predicting global warning that never happened I might be anxious to find a new danger that would negate the BS that I had been spouting for all those years. Look for this to catch on and become the new reason for taxes and government programs and of course research grants.

Its only gonna get warmer if it doesn’t get colder with the possible exception it stays the same. In any case, we need to raise taxes to offset whatever may come. Its all over if we don’t raise taxes.

Faulty computer models that predict increasing CO2 concentrations will cause significant global warming is once again shown to be wrong.

In order to reliably predict changes in global temperatures and identify the relative significance of various factors, the models must accurately include ALL phenomena and their interrelationships.

Current models are WAY too simple to be trusted, as shown by the failure of their predictions to come true.

The scientific method requires agreement between hypotheses (exemplified in models) and empirical observations to be trusted. The scientific method did not fail, its practice was hyped and distorted for political reasons.

Two things we know for sure in the fake news:
1) Whatever the weather, it’s Trump’s fault. A special prosecutor must be named.
2) Whatever the weather, only bigger government will solve it. Tax cuts will only make it worse.

CO2 in the atmosphere, or

Astronomy magazine mentioned this recently but hedged this information by saying it is yet to be known whether the impact of a reduction in the sun´s solar output could have any significant impact that could reverse some of man´s warming impact on Earth´s temperature. Astronomy magazine has obviously reversed solar vs. human global thermal impacts by many orders of magnitude and still thinks it is "scientific" - shame on them. Earth without a warm enough sun becomes a frozen snowball regardless of any quantity of "greenhouse gases" - it happened before and it could happen again.

There is no warming to "reverse", that was entirely a fiction.

But the sun going blank was a precursor to the Little Ice Age, known as the Maunder Minimum, meaning minimum number of sunspots.

So, we really may be in for continued cooling, the last few sunspot cycles (every 11 years there is a minimum) minimums have been lower than in the past, so we are following the pattern of the Maunder Minimum. Too early to tell how far the sun will take it, but you can be certain that we have no way to control it. We are passengers on this planet, regardless of what the morons and liars like Al Gore say.

Damn cold, anyway. If global warming was real, NYC Time square would have been under water, and the great northwest passage in use year round. There is no man made global warming to reverse.

If there had been, we might actually be better off.

Instead AL Gore had to pop up, and pop off again... notice he always ends up speaking in a snow storm?

Maybe some old seer in Finland saw visions of Gore screaming, "Warm! Hot!" And saw it getting colder and colder: Thus Surtur, king of the Fire Jotuns leading final war resulting in Fimbul Winter and Ragnarok!

Maybe Jotun is how he heard the Dems mascot called? Jotun/Jackass?

#20, Canceled my subscription to Astronomy Magazine because I was offended by the tirates on Global Luke Warming aka Creeping Climate Change by the editor and one of their more pugnacious columnist. They are entitled to their opinion but resent being told if I don´t agree with them chapter and verse I am a knuckle dragging Neanderthal boob who fell off a turnip truck. I believe in Climate Change. Who doesn´t? The Climate has been changing since the beginning of the Earth. What I am dubious about is Imminent Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming. Even the doctored data doesn´t agree with their computer simulations. We are told if we don´t buy what they are selling that we are anti science. The scientific method says when the model doesn´t agree with the data you discard the model. All the Warmies want to do is sneer at you and try to intimidate the heretics.

It´s called weather people....this phase of the weather in the Northern Hemisphere is called winter. It gets cold and snows in the winter. The prevailing winds turn to the North where (despite Al Gore) it is cold. If this pattern extends to tens or hundreds of years, it can be referred to as a climate change.

I think the Brits are on to something. I´ve noticed a reoccurring pattern the last couple of years. It seems like the year starts out really cold and then it´s very green and balmy for months at a time, but then around the 10th month it starts getting really cold all over again.

JERUSALEM - At least nine teenage seminary students died after they were swept away by a flash flood in the Negev Desert in southern Israel on Thursday, an ambulance service said. Another student was unaccounted for and the search was suspended as night fell and heavy thunderstorms returned to the region, police said. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, warned President Trump firing special counsel Robert Mueller could lead to impeachment, becoming one of the first congressional Republicans to mention impeachment directly. “Firing Mr. Mueller would be a grave error. It would trigger a crisis, possibly even impeachment,” Hatch said in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece published Tuesday night. “It would threaten many of the administration’s accomplishments and make continued progress virtually impossible.” In his op-ed, Hatch endorsed the proposed legislation aimed at protect Mueller from being fired by Trump, or, for that matter, any president from firing a counsel appointed to investigating potential presidential misconduct.

Tijuana, Mexico — About 130 Central Americans, mostly women and children, have arrived at the U.S. border with Mexico in a “caravan” of asylum-seeking immigrants that has drawn the fury of President Donald Trump. Two busloads arrived late Tuesday in the Mexican border city of Tijuana at two migrant shelters just steps from one of the most fortified stretches of border separating the U.S. from Mexico. (Snip) Four more busloads of about 200 Central Americans - mostly women and children but including some men, were expected to arrive in Tijuana Wednesday, said Alex Mensing, project coordinator for Pueblos Sin Fronteras, which

NBC poured millions of dollars into “Megyn Kelly Today” and, in return, they’ve been rewarded with a massive drop in viewership. The Peacock network poached Kelly from Fox last year, enticing her from the conservative flagship network with a three-year, $69 million contract, according to the Wall Street Journal. But Kelly’s introduction to NBC, premiering at the 9 a.m. hour in September, was met with almost immediate controversy — a feud with Jane Fonda that the morning show host dragged out for months — and she never drew the viewership that the network was looking for. Her Sunday night newsmagazine show was

Reporter Jim Acosta says too many Americans can’t see through President Trump’s “act” because they “don’t have all their faculties.” CNN’s chief White House correspondent and network colleague April Ryan sat down with Variety this week to discuss reporting on the White House in an era of “fake news” accusations. The network duo expressed concern that Mr. Trump and his rhetorical “tentacles” will cause “anarchy” around the globe. “Fake news, by the president saying this, is not just a simply or cute little statement for some,” Ms. Ryan said in a taped interview published Tuesday. “This has tentacles that is

The election is over and Republican Debbie Lesko has won a West Valley congressional special election in a district that has leaned right for decades. Here’s what else we learned from the unexpectedly competitive race to replace Trent Franks, the veteran Republican who resigned in December amid a sexual-misconduct scandal. The unofficial results show a dramatic underperformance by a Republican in the solidly GOP district. That’s a problem for Republicans, who now need to sort through the results to determine how problematic the landscape will be for them in November. Republicans have a 17 percentage point registration advantage in the district. President Donald Trump

Schools are removing analogue clocks from examination halls because teenagers are unable to tell the time, a head teachers’ union has said. Teachers are now installing digital devices after pupils sitting their GCSE and A-level exams complained that they were struggling to read the correct time on an analogue clock. Malcolm Trobe, deputy general secretary at the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), said youngsters have become accustomed to using digital devices. “The current generation aren’t as good at reading the traditional clock face as older generations,” he told The Telegraph.

In a direct assault on the freedoms of speech and religion, the California Assembly on Thursday overwhelmingly approved a bill that would, in effect, prohibit the dissemination of traditional Christian teaching on homosexuality and transgenderism. The Assembly voted 50-14 to criminalize “a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer” that consists of “advertising, offering to engage in, or engaging in sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.” The bill defines “sexual orientation change efforts” as “any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts
