Cleveland Browns join 2008 Detroit
Lions as NFL´s only 0-16 teams

PITTSBURGH — Move over, 2008 Detroit Lions. You have company. The Cleveland Browns have finished the season 0-16 and have equaled you in futility. With a 28-24 loss Sunday to the Pittsburgh Steelers before 50,704 at Heinz Field, the Browns joined the 2008 Lions as the only NFL teams to finish a season 0-16. And I have to say it feels good. Like a weight has been lifted from Detroit’s back. Like an ugly mole has been removed. Maybe it’s true that misery loves company. In a Twitter poll I posted before the game, 67 percent of more than 500

And last year they were 1-15. Soul-crushing bad.

I found myself in a business yesterday that was playing a station with a NFL game on the TV. In the past I was interested / ambivalent about the game / players.

Imagine my surprise when I looked at the game and felt revulsion for the thugs on the field and the owners that allow and encourage their anti-social and unpatriotic behavior.

Am I the only one that has undergone a wholesale metamorphosis of attitude about the NFL and football?

Mostly, #1. The players are a problem, to be sure....they are the most visible example of the millennial generation raised on diet of SJW idiocy including pro-gay and pro-thug propaganda.

But the attitude towards the owners is shifting also. They are no longer regarded as pillars of the community or even sportsmen who ´just want to win.´ Instead, they are becoming known as venal, greedy, and insecure. TV money has made at least half the league content to cash a check and to heck with the game results.

The Browns lost to the Nittany Lions yesterday... Pittsburgh didn´t even play their starters!
Here´s what is truly amazing about all this - they insist, INSIST that they will be keeping this 31-1 coach! Not only that, but the coach stated that nobody in the NFL could have done his job any better! A guy who didn´t even win ONE game this season has the audacity to say this!! He should be fired on that statement alone!
I am truly living in a world I no longer understand!

In the “taxes” part of “death and taxes,” here is a bit of our inevitability this year: Property taxes on a median-value house in King County rose $800 compared with 2017, and are up 43 percent over the past four years. In addition to rising home prices and voter-approved levies, the Legislature’s move to fund schools to meet the Supreme Court’s McCleary ruling is the biggest driver. The Seattle City Council is expected to adopt soon some form of head tax on employers grossing more than $8 million to $12 million a year. The money raised would go for additional

LEMONT, Ill. - Chicago-area Democrats cast their ballots on Tuesday in a nationally watched congressional primary election that could signal whether the anti-Trump sentiment that has galvanized the party´s base could also sweep moderate lawmakers out of office. U.S. Representative Dan Lipinski is facing a stiff challenge from businesswoman Marie Newman, who says the incumbent´s socially conservative views are out of touch with the district that first elected him in 2004. Lipinski, who opposes abortion and gay marriage, says Democrats need to avoid ideological litmus tests if they want to win back the working-class voters who supported Republican Donald Trump
