Cleveland Browns join 2008 Detroit

PITTSBURGH — Move over, 2008 Detroit Lions. You have company. The Cleveland Browns have finished the season 0-16 and have equaled you in futility. With a 28-24 loss Sunday to the Pittsburgh Steelers before 50,704 at Heinz Field, the Browns joined the 2008 Lions as the only NFL teams to finish a season 0-16. And I have to say it feels good. Like a weight has been lifted from Detroit’s back. Like an ugly mole has been removed. Maybe it’s true that misery loves company. In a Twitter poll I posted before the game, 67 percent of more than 500

And last year they were 1-15. Soul-crushing bad.

I found myself in a business yesterday that was playing a station with a NFL game on the TV. In the past I was interested / ambivalent about the game / players.

Imagine my surprise when I looked at the game and felt revulsion for the thugs on the field and the owners that allow and encourage their anti-social and unpatriotic behavior.

Am I the only one that has undergone a wholesale metamorphosis of attitude about the NFL and football?

Mostly, #1. The players are a problem, to be sure....they are the most visible example of the millennial generation raised on diet of SJW idiocy including pro-gay and pro-thug propaganda.

But the attitude towards the owners is shifting also. They are no longer regarded as pillars of the community or even sportsmen who ´just want to win.´ Instead, they are becoming known as venal, greedy, and insecure. TV money has made at least half the league content to cash a check and to heck with the game results.

The Browns lost to the Nittany Lions yesterday... Pittsburgh didn´t even play their starters!
Here´s what is truly amazing about all this - they insist, INSIST that they will be keeping this 31-1 coach! Not only that, but the coach stated that nobody in the NFL could have done his job any better! A guy who didn´t even win ONE game this season has the audacity to say this!! He should be fired on that statement alone!
I am truly living in a world I no longer understand!

Fake Starbucks coupons have begun circulating on social media in the wake of protests over the arrests of two black men who had asked to use a Starbucks restroom. The coupons, which feature images of Starbucks beverages, the brand´s iconic color green and bar codes, appear to offer "people of color" or "African-American heritage" free drinks. "This is completely false and in no way associated with Starbucks," a Starbucks spokeswoman told CNBC. Starbucks is closing thousands of stores across the U.S. on the afternoon of May 29 to conduct "racial-bias education geared toward preventing discrimination in our stores," the company said in a statement. The coffee shop chain has been criticized and protested against after two black men were arrested last week at a Starbucks in Philadelphia, where they were quietly waiting to meet someone. Starbucks employees called 911 after one of the men, who had not yet purchased anything, asked to use the bathroom and then remained at the shop. Other customers recorded the arrest and protested that the men hadn´t

SAN DIEGO - Fayaz Nawabi has never met President Donald Trump. But he credits the president with convincing him to run for office. Nawabi, a 31-year-old candidate for San Diego City Council, supports almost everything that Trump opposes: He is pro-affordable housing, pro-environment, pro-immigrant and pro-refugee. That makes him part of the blue wave of new liberal candidates spurred to run by Trump´s election and policies. But Nawabi is also part of a notable subset: the blue Muslim wave. More than 90 American Muslims, nearly all of them Democrats, are running for public office across the country this year. Many

WASHINGTON — When it comes to James B. Comey’s book-tour crusade against President Trump, the question for hard-core Hillary Clinton fans boils down to this: Curse Mr. Comey, or cheer him? Curse him, mostly. They may be card-carrying members of “the Resistance,” who oppose everything that the president stands for, but Mrs. Clinton’s former aides and advisers are still too angry at Mr. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, to see past what they view as his egregious actions that handed the White House to Mr. Trump. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.
