As 2017 ends, Republicans struggle
to counter a Democratic wave

Los Angeles Times, by David Lauter

The clock is ticking on the Republican majority in Congress: The GOP has just over 10 months to avoid a rout in 2018.Republicans could do it. They have time and several important factors on their side: a good economy, low crime rates, achievements of significance to the party´s followers.Nevertheless, as 2017 closes, almost all signs point toward big Democratic gains next year, largely driven by President Trump´s widespread unpopularity. And some of the pugnacious instincts that helped the president win election a year ago may now be worsening his party´s dilemma.Midterm elections "are a referendum on the party in power,"

Seems the central planners of the dim party have settled on “wave” as new slogan. Hoping if they say it enough (through their msm shills) it will somehow materialize.

Waves crash and turn to froth as they wash back into the deep.

It will be a wave election with the following conditions:

1. dhimocrats turn out in force.
2. Republicans stay home.

If the economy continues to improve and workers see a direct benefit from tax and regulation decreases, left wing anger wont be enough. What´s really in question is how effective will leftwing media be at energizing the morons.

The world didnt end, nazis arent rounding up left wingers, Trump didnt collapse the economy or govern like a dictator.

I happen to agree with the substance of the article.

Turn out will be KEY for the republicans as they must counter the illegal vote, the deceased vote, and the ballot stuffing and illegalities by the Dems.

The Dems own the media, the schools, the colleges, the welfare class, the illegal immigrants and the voter felons. They have support of foreign $$ investors {Soros, etc}, the Chinese, the Russians, the DOJ, the FBI and the CIA, the NeverTrumpers, and Bill, Hillary and the man without a {country} birth certificate .

The Reps just have the working class.

2018 will be a revolutionary years one way or another.

Will LA Times ever write that the 63 million voters who gave Trump the presidency still have no political party behind them? Trump voters created a new party combining disaffected Republicans, Democrats, and Independent/Unaffiliateds. To this day, neither political party wants these 63 million voters. A big part of Trump´s win was former Obama voters, many of whom voted for Obama twice. The biggest common denominator among Obama to Trump voters was the belief that US government has become deeply corrupt. This was in the NY Times.

The White House says it will not negotiate with the Democrats on immigration until the end of the federal government shutdown. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says in a statement that, “We will not negotiate the status of unlawful immigrants while Democrats hold our lawful citizens hostage over their reckless demands.” She adds, “When Democrats start paying our armed forces and first responders we will reopen negotiations on immigration reform.” The government shut down at midnight after Congress failed to pass a spending deal. Sanders says, “Senate Democrats own the Schumer Shutdown,” adding,

After leaving office, President Ronald Reagan created the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award to recognize individuals who have fought to spread liberty worldwide. Nancy Reagan continued the tradition after her husband’s death, and in 2008 she bestowed the honor on human rights icon Natan Sharansky, who credited Reagan’s strong defense of freedom for his own survival in Soviet gulags. Reagan recognized that as leader of the free world, his words carried enormous weight, and he used it to inspire the unprecedented spread of democracy around the world. President Donald Trump does not seem to understand that his rhetoric and actions reverberate in

1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis ripped President Trump´s new tax law and offered optimism for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. Dukakis, a former governor of the Bay State during the so-called economic "Massachusetts Miracle," said Republicans have lost their way when it comes to supporting fiscal responsibility. He questioned why they would champion a tax plan that may have costly ramifications for the national deficit. (Snip) "We just passed a tax bill, which I think is a piece of garbage," Dukakis, who lost his presidential bid to then-Vice President George Bush, said. "Look at these companies, though, that are

California lawmakers are targeting the expected windfall companies in the state would see under the federal tax overhaul with a bill that would require businesses to turn over half to the state. A proposed Assembly Constitutional Amendment by Assemblymen Kevin McCarty, D -Sacramento and Phil Ting, D-San Francisco, would create a tax surcharge on California companies making more than $1 million so that half of their federal tax cut would instead go to programs that benefit low-income and middle class families.

During his town hall tour across Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has given explicit notice to pro-life Canadians that their beliefs on abortion make them second-class citizens. (Snip) According to the article, Trudeau warned that "an organization that has the explicit purpose of restricting women´s rights by removing rights to abortion, the right for women to control their own bodies, is not in line with where we are as a government and quite frankly where we are as a society." Far from content living his golden years on the $400,000 speech and lecture circuit of other former presidents, President Obama has been busy with clawing back for his old power. He´s actually covertly plotting to oust his democratically elected successor, President Trump, vowing to his associates to "rip him a new one," in the 2018 midterm elections. Seems he´s not all that interested in watching his youngest daughter grow up. That´s the word from DCWhispers, which reports that Obama´s Kalorama mansion, in the heart of the capital´s most tony district, is the center of significant comings and goings among the Obamatons,

More than 130 congressional members have viewed the classified four-page memo detailing what senior government officials describe as “disturbing and explosive” surveillance abuse by employees of the FBI and Department of Justice under the Obama administration against President Trump and members of his campaign. But almost all of them were Republicans. Since the document was released Thursday to House members “only Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee have seen it,” a congressional source with knowledge of the memo said. Sara Carter reports on a classified document that was released to all members of the House today. The document seems to be a compilation of information, prepared by House intelligence committee staff, relating to the anti-Trump dossier, the FBI, the warrant to conduct surveillance on members of the Trump campaign, and the use of that warrant. Carter calls the document a bombshell. Her sources say its revelations might lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and Department of Justice, and perhaps even the criminal prosecution of some. They also say, less plausibly, that the revelations could lead to
