LAS VEGAS — Two Las Vegas security guards were fatally shot Saturday while investigating a disturbance in a room at a hotel-casino and the suspected shooter is facing critical injuries after turning the gun on himself, police said. The gunman´s motive wasn´t known but investigators believe it was an isolated incident. "I want you to know right now that this has nothing to do with terrorism," Capt. Hey it´s more mind-reading from the police.

If they´re so clairvoyant all the time why can´t they predict bank robberies and car theft?

Cops: We don´t have a clue what happened, why he did it or what the disturbance was the security guards were investigating, but, we´re sure it had nothing to do with terrorism.

I get so sick of this kind of police BS- Why do they have to blurt out this "But, it´s not terrorism." crap before they can even tell us the slightest bit about the incident. Who would believe them again?

WHAT? Really?

Just like Mandalay...the atty for victims cannot get any info from police, FBI or hotel. A lot is being hidden from them.

Vegas is not doing itself any favors.

And the Disney thing of no more "do not disturb" signs - asking for huge lawsuits for invasion of privacy, no matter what the hour.

How about everyone just pay attention to checked in guests, as they come in the door to begin with?

What could seem better than getting David Letterman and President Barack Obama together again and sitting them down in front of an audience to talk for an hour about whatever´s been on their minds since they both left their old jobs? What better fantasy come true for anyone who misses both men terribly? Unfortunately, Letterman´s new show for Netflix, a six-episode series called My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, fails to deliver on its promise, falling flat in its debut. Guess which state has the highest poverty rate in the country? Not Mississippi, New Mexico, or West Virginia, but California, where nearly one out of five residents is poor. That’s according to the Census Bureau’s Supplemental Poverty Measure, which factors in the cost of housing, food, utilities and clothing, and which includes noncash government assistance as a form of income. Given robust job growth and the prosperity generated by several industries, it’s worth asking why California has fallen behind, especially when the state’s per-capita GDP increased approximately twice as much as the U.S. average over the five years ending in
