O.J. Simpson´s former lawyer and an investigator who worked on his case have revealed plans for a book they say will finally put to rest the public´s disbelief that he was acquitted of murder. F.Lee Bailey was one of several lawyers who worked on Simpson´s case in the 1990s. (Snip) Now 84, Bailey and Pat McKenna, the investigator who the defense hired, are shopping a book to publishers which they say will finally address what millions have been incredulous over for decades - how did OJ get off? ´We’re not writing this to make a fortune. ´We’re writing this to

Oh puhleeze. Who knew he was still alive? That pathetic old washed up disbarred hack should stay under his rock. One of the last articles I read about him was he was bankrupt. I guess he´s trying to squeeze out one last dime with his criminal buddy OJ. What a gruesome twosome. I wouldn´t read that trash book if you gave it to me.

Contd. We know exactly why OJ got off. Those certain members of the jury wanted to send a very loud message. They would have acquitted him no matter what. That in addition to missteps from the prosecution, like that huuuge mistake of having OJ put on that shrunken leather glove over a plastic glove. Of course Johnnie Cochran made a mockery out of that with the phrase that is now known around the world..

Because he had high dollar lawyers who bamboozled the jury with BS and got a vicious murderer acquitted by a racist jury.

Pretty simple, actually.

Yep. Defense lawyers that knew if they could turn the trial into a circus, they´d win.

Prosecutors who couldn´t convict a ham sandwich for coming from a pig. Plus they blew the biggest part of the evidence (not found until the civil trial): proof that OJ wore those "ugly-*** shoes," the Bruno Mallies.

And the worst of all, star-struck Judge Ito. Took a two week trial and made it last 10 months. Maybe if I were on the jury (in sequestration), I´d vote on it in five minutes and get the heck out of there too.

Here is a fact almost all good lawyers and most police officers know: There is absolutely no such thing as a perfect investigation. Any defendant with a good enough defense team and enough money to do a thorough investigations on their own, could be acquitted. Impeacing evidence is not that hard if you know the right questions to ask and how to ask them. Ito- the judge, was a complete boob. He allowed lines of questioning that would never have been allowed in a less publicized trial. Ito was "start struck" and the Defense knew it. Chris Darden and Marcia Clark were probably the least capable prosecutors ever. Their personal sexual relations during the trial definitely got in their way. And, besides that, they were inept. The police, Fuhrman and his partner totally blew their initial investigation and the CSI team, tramped through the bloody scene so bad, it was a bad joke. Even the Medical Examiner was confused and contradicted his own testimony several times. The DA, Garcetti, made several gross blunders, not having a Grand jury indict, using LA where the jury pool would be filled with minorities rather than Santa Monica. So many mistakes were made, an acquittal was practically a foregone conclusion.

#8, I agree with everything you said except the part about Fuhrman. He was the best investigator there. He left the ´experts´, LAPD´s Administrative Homicide investigators, with a list of his findings. They ignored the list and screwed things up on their own. The DNA evidence was so overwhelming that a any jury with a modicum of intelligence would have ignored everything else and convicted him. A very good LA Deputy DA said that the case was lost when OJ took off with the Bronco and solidified the community behind him.

A defense lawyer is a great success when he can get one out of twelve jurors to agree with his stuff. A prosecutor has to convince twelve out of twelve to be successful in murder cases. Rather silly if you ask me.

Ito star struck? Hardly. He knew the evidence was overwhelming, and foolishly allowed the defense to literally get away with murder in his courtroom, thinking that would lessen the appeal worthy issues upon conviction. He was as shocked as anyone that the IQ challenged jury acquitted the murderer Simpson, but shouldn´t have been since he allowed it to happen via a horrific error in judgment.

The acquittal was jury nullification, pure and simple. The jury ignored the evidence, albeit not logically presented by the prosecution, but still well past any reasonable doubt standard. No further book is necessary.

The Judge was the worst possible choice for a trial like this one. The prosecution wasn´t bad, but she didn´t stand a chance given the make up of the Jury. O.J. was guilty, there was plenty of proof that he did it, and I still think that his buddy Al Cowling helped him.

Mr. Bailey, we already know why he was acquitted. One of the early cases of racism by a jury in the latter part of the 20 century. (at least in my lifetime anyway.) The only silver lining of this trial is it pretty much killed the soap opera addiction of millions of people in this nation.

Anyone who has ever washed their white kid leather gloves (some of us are dinosaurs who wore them and washed them) knows that Johnny Cochran’s glove stunt really put one over on the prosecutors and the jury. There are few things more shrunken and stiff than a leather glove that has been wet and simply allowed to dry without its being painstakingly reworked into pliability, suppleness. And even when new, a leather glove would not fit over a plastic glove such as OJ was required to wear for his try-on stunt.

“If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit” may be one of the most bogus lines in history. But it helped get him off. That and the fact that the jury was stacked with those who would have been expected to sympathize with him. The expected jury pool was the reason why the trial was moved from his proper jurisdiction in the Santa Monica court, which was the right place considering the location of the crimes, to the downtown court that drew from South LA.

The case was lost when the trial was moved from the location where the murder took place to a largely black district. This was done purposely so the case would be lost and LA would not be burned to the ground. Add the incompetent prosecution team and you had the fix was in. Vincent Bugliosi called the team of Clark and Darden the most incompetent he had seen. Two white people were sacrificed by the system. So much for justice.

"Did you ever use the N-word?"

The most insipid question ever. Fuhrman should have said, "Yeah, have you?"

One fatal flaw: The blood in the Bronco could not be used as evidence. Of course, to think that admitting it would have changed the verdict would be folly: that jury was going to acquit, regardless. Were they dumb or just bitter---or both?

The gloves’ not fitting has been attributed to his hands´ swelling. It didn’t help a bit that he was handed a stiff, dried up shrunken glove to put on over rubber gloves. It was easier for most to go with the arthritic hand story the media pushed. Not everyone understands wet leather gloves.

According to Representative Dave Joyce (R-OH14) the House Intelligence Committee will hold a vote on the release of the four-page Nunes memo that reveals systemic corruption within the DOJ and FBI; including the unlawful use of FISA-702(16)(17) data searches which were part of an elaborate DOJ-FBI surveillance program on the political campaign of Donald Trump. (Tweet) Additionally, Chad Pergram reported that Chairman Devin Nunes met with Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte to discuss the best process to release the memo. There are generally two ways it could be done, the HPSCI vote is the most likely. As more people have become aware

There’s a ghost haunting Elizabeth Warren as she ramps up for a possible 2020 presidential bid and a reelection campaign in Massachusetts this year: her enduring and undocumented claims of Native American ancestry. Warren says now, as she has from the first days of her public life, that she based her assertions on family lore, on her reasonable trust in what she was told about her ancestry as a child. “I know who I am,” she said in a recent interview with the Globe. But that self-awareness may not be enough, as her political ambitions blossom.

The burn continues. What follows are 138 years of scientific records tracing the human transformation of Earth’s climate. The bold pink line up top represents 2017, the third-hottest on record. The only years to exceed it—2015 and 2016—occurred amid a powerful El Nino weather pattern that ripped heat from the Pacific Ocean into the atmosphere. In the absence of El Nino, the swelter of 2017 was unprecedented.

Comic book readers are apparently not fans of progressive politics—a fact no more evident in Marvel’s decision to cancel every single one of its comics that has been nominated by the LGBTQ advocacy group, GLAAD. In December, the publisher announced its decision to cancel many of its comics, citing poor sales. LGBTQ, feminist, and social justice-themed comics involving stories that revolved around Black Lives Matter, illegal immigration, and LGBTQ issues were among those to end up on the chopping block.

Adam Schiff, reputedly a champion leaker from the House Intelligence Committee when it came to Russiagate material, suddenly thinks Ignorance is Bliss when it comes to the FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign. Appearing on CNN, he tried to justify keep the 4 page memo that reportedly exposes the individuals who acted as part of a cabal to undermine the Trump campaign with help from NSA spying, and then pushed the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory as part of the “insurance policy.” Americans are too ignorant, you see. Do you think Democrats are starting to panic? (Video) Rush
