BATON ROUGE, La. — A Louisiana private investigator pleaded guilty on Monday to misusing Donald Trump´s Social Security number in repeated attempts to access the candidate´s federal tax information during the presidential campaign. Jordan Hamlett, 32, faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine following his guilty plea in federal court. Authorities have said Hamlett failed in his attempts to get Trump´s tax returns through a U.S. Department of Education financial aid website. The Lafayette resident was indicted in November 2016 and had been scheduled to start this week, but the judge originally assigned to the case died

I would do the same to find information on Barack Obama, with no "intent to deceive" but simply "out of sheer curiosity," because the American People know virtually nothing about him. Unfortunately, that is not possible, since he is using what appears to be a fraudulent Social Security number.

"We invented all kinds of ways to obtain false identity papers,... We soon figured out that the deepest and most foolproof ID had a government-issued Social Security card at its heart." Bill Ayers

In the Yakuza-controlled Hawaiian bureaucracy, "anything could be purchased, including Social Security numbers." Since he didn´t have a valid birth certificate, obama had to purchase a phony SSN so he could work at Baskin-Robbins, perhaps his only "real" job. As they say in Hawaii, "Book em, Danno."

Investigators in both House and Senate were stunned late Friday when, receiving a batch of newly-released texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, they also received notice from the bureau that the FBI "failed to preserve" Strzok-Page messages from December 14, 2016 through May 17, 2017. Given the amount of texting that went on between Strzok and Page, who were having an extramarital affair, that probably meant thousands of missing documents. A number of critical events in the Trump-Russia affair occurred between December 2016 and May 2017, including: Conversations between Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey

A top staffer on Megyn Kelly’s show has been fired after claiming there is a “toxic and demeaning” environment on set, rife with bullying and “abusive treatment.” Kevin Bleyer was fired as a writer from “Megyn Kelly Today” this week after complaining that Kelly’s two top execs, Jackie Levin and Christine Cataldi, were bullying lower level members of staff. He was fired even though Kelly has made fighting abuse her personal crusade. Plus, in the wake of Matt Lauer’s firing, NBC ordered all staff to report workplace bad behavior, supposedly without fear or reprisal.

Government shutdown looking

Senate Democrats said Thursday they had enough votes to block a GOP short-term budget deal — increasing the likelihood of a government shutdown as Friday’s midnight deadline loomed. A senior Senate Democratic aide told The Washington Post it was “almost certain” that a spending extension does not have the votes to pass the upper chamber. The Democrats want the bill to include relief for the Dreamers — immigrants brought here illegally as children and who were protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. But President Trump and immigration hard-liners in Congress want to deal with DACA at a later date. With the

Rupert Murdoch suffered a serious back injury while vacationing on his son Lachlan’s yacht in the Caribbean earlier this month, three sources familiar with the incident told Vanity Fair. The 86-year-old media mogul was helicoptered off the boat and was, until recently, recovering in a Los Angeles hospital, one of the sources said. The incident is said to have happened shortly after the New Year’s holiday. Last Friday night, Murdoch sent an email to his senior management informing them of the accident: "I hope you all are having a great start to 2018. I suspect it has been better than mine,"

Author Michael Wolff’s pitch to the White House to win cooperation for his book included a working title that signaled a sympathetic view, a counter-narrative to a slew of negative news stories early in Donald Trump’s presidency. He called it “The Great Transition: The First 100 Days of the Trump Administration.” And in part due to that title, Wolff was able to exploit an inexperienced White House staff who mistakenly believed they could shape the book to the president’s liking.

Democrats called it the Trump shutdown. Republicans labeled it the Schumer shutdown. But in reality, it was the Dreamer shutdown. The recipe for the current congressional gridlock is complex, but at the top of the list of ingredients are the illegal immigrant Dreamers who pushed Democrats to launch the filibuster that sent the government careening into a partial shutdown. It’s a stunning display of political leverage for a group that, at most, numbers several million, can’t vote now, and even under the most generous proposals wouldn’t be able to cast ballots for another decade. The man overseeing the special investigation into Russian election meddling is by all accounts a non-partisan straight shooter, the model image of a public-minded civil servant. Drafted to lead politically polarizing investigation, working under the beady eyes of distrustful congressional Republicans, Mueller has striven to keep his team’s conduct as unimpeachable as possible by bringing on some of America’s sharpest legal minds to check his own work and keeping public comments to a minimum.
