Haley: Israel will never be

President Donald Trump is committed to ongoing efforts to reach an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord, the U.S. ambassador to the UN said Friday amid a backlash over his decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel´s capital. "Let me again assure you, the president and this administration remain committed to the peace process," Ambassador Nikki Haley said at an emergency meeting of the Security Council that was convened over Trump´s decision Wednesday. She added that Trump, in his reversal of two decades of American foreign policy, was simply recognizing reality, since the Israeli government and parliament are

As usual, the palestinians want a better deal. It must include statehood for them, billions of dollars from us and the non-existence of Israel. Same old story, but they should have negotiated better with Obama. They certainly won´t get it now.

I predict angry terrorist attacks followed by the total destruction of Hamas.

Both Bush father and son are Arabists at heart. American Mid East policy has been a classic ´pushing a string uphill´ effort since Reagan left office. What PDT is give the whole thing a strong enema of reality. It is going to hurt.

BEIJING/SEOUL - Rescue crews wrestled to bring a blaze on an Iranian oil tanker off China’s east coast under control on Monday as fire raged for a second day following a collision with a grain ship, while the body of one of the 32 missing crew members was found on aboard. Concerns were growing that the tanker, which hit a freight ship on Saturday night in the East China Sea and burst into flames, may explode and sink, the official China Central Television (CCTV) said on Monday, citing experts on the rescue team. THERE wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Oprah Winfrey delivered a powerful, almost presidential, speech at last night’s 75th Golden Globe Awards, bravely tackling the sex-scandal gripping Hollywood. The 63-year-old had to fight back the tears herself as she took to the stage when she was honoured with the Cecil B. DeMille Award. As she accepted the prestigious gong, the chat show host addressed sexual harassment and racial injustice and told girls watching the ceremony that a “new day is on the horizon”. She began her speech by recalling the feelings she felt as a young girl watching Sidney Poitier

President Trump is spending an increasing amount of his day on social media and watching television, which his schedule has dubbed officially as ´executive time´ - and his days in the Oval Office don´t actually begin in earnest until 11 a.m. each day, a report from Axios stated. The report states that Trump´s day begins at 8 a.m., but that he conducts business from his private residence in the White House rather than the Oval Office. This compares to George W. Bush, who often began his official day in the West Wing at 6:45 a.m. In addition, Trump apparently shrunk his official

DUBAI - Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said on Sunday the country’s people and security forces had defeated unrest fomented by foreign enemies, as parliament and security officials met to discuss the boldest challenge to the clerical establishment since 2009. There has been more than a week of unrest in Iran in which 22 people have died and more than 1,000 arrested, according to Iranian officials. The protests spread to more than 80 cities and rural towns as thousands of young and working-class Iranians expressed their anger at graft, unemployment and a deepening gap between rich and poor. “Iran’s revolutionary people along with

It’s good to be an American, or an Israeli. Say what you want about the leader and no harm comes to you. It gets better. You can become rich. Lucky man, therefore, Michael Wolff. He’s the man topping this week’s news cycle over a book he wrote about President Trump. Never mind the title. You probably just bought a copy… if you are a Democrat. It’s the number one bestseller in America, and that happened awfully fast. The book came from out of nowhere when Steve Bannon, quoted within the book, turned nasty on Trump, his former boss. In July, MSNBC host and former Rep. Joe Scarborough showily announced on Stephen Colbert´s CBS show that he was leaving the Republican Party. No one on the Republican National Committee flew a flag at half-mast. The announcement was at least a decade behind the reality. In 2006, he basically called then-President Bush an idiot. But in all the speculation about whether Romney would run in Utah, no one has asked whether he should, or what broader purpose his victory there would serve, beyond his own ambitions.

President Trump on Saturday launched a remarkable defense of his mental fitness for office, calling himself a “very stable genius” and “like, really smart.” Trump made the defense in a series of tweets that appeared to push back on questions raised by a new book that painted a chaotic and dysfunctional picture of his campaign and early months of his presidency. “Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart,” Trump tweeted. The president said doubts about his mental capacity have been frequently raised by his critics, but he proved them wrong

Now that Steve Bannon has carried his political jihad to its logical conclusion, martyrdom never looked so meaningless. A bright and talented man has sacrificed himself over nothing more significant than anger and vanity. Consider a recent report that Bannon was mulling the idea of running for president in 2020. Presumably that was part of his plan to elect a batch of Roy Moores, depose Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and reshape congress to match his own definition of economic nationalism. As such, Bannon’s decision to go out in a blaze of personal attacks on the president and everybody else in the White
