Roy Moore accuser admits she forged part

Alabama senate candidate

One of the women who accused Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of making advances on her when she was a teen and he a local prosecutor admitted Friday to forging part of the yearbook inscription she offered as proof. Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she wrote part of the disputed note in her high school yearbook that she and famed attorney Gloria Allred presented as proof the then-30-something Moore sought an inappropriate relationship with her in the late 1970s. Nelson still insisted that Moore wrote most of the message and signed the inscription, but said she made “notes” to

So, it was Fake but Accurate, right?

Since the age of consent in Alabama is 16, the people of Alabama don´t seem to believe there is anything wrong with "making advances" on teenagers (16 or older).

This statement was made to cover Gloria´s posterior. As for the accuser, she should not be let off the hook. What she did was criminal and should be punished. As we know, this whole incident has been staged by the Dems and their chief smear correspondent Gloria Allred.

She presented, or stood silent when the yearbook inscription was presented, as authentic.

A lie by commission or omission is still a lie. Why should anyone believe what she says now?

Admit to faking the obvious part - still claim the rest is real. Yeah, sure.

Along with all the other holes people who worked at the restaurant during the time period in question, have poked in her story.

Of course she did. Most of us noticed it right away. Gloria Allred confirmed it when she wouldn’t produce the original yearbook.

Seems to me Gloria should receive some bar association discipline, but she has disgraced herself and so…

That and the other myriad flaws in Young’s story, refuted by persons who knew the Olde Hickory House restaurant, knew Moore, and came forward to say they had never seen her in the restaurant, that Moore was not a regular there, that regular waitresses did not serve patrons at the bar. And that Young, at 15, was too young to be employed by the restaurant as the minimum age was 16.

This must stop. The attacks on Republicans by Democrats who have their own dirty linen by the ton. And a serious well-documented history of lying. Bearing false witness.

All of these accusations are part of an orchestrated propaganda scheme to influence an election. Would that not violate RICO or something along those lines?

If these various accusers are not investigated or prosecuted for criminal transgressions, I hope Moore takes them to civil court after the election. If it can be shown that they knowingly lied about or exaggerated these charges at the behest of others there should be serious financial penalties at the least.

I want to know who/what is behind all of these sudden accusations. We KNOW they are not truly spontaneous.

Allred either didn´t bother to look at that yearbook evidence or she did inspect it and
then chose to proceed recklessly.

The yearbook page was obviously suspect and people just seeing a photograph of the page knew it.

Nelson now makes a crafted non-admission admission: i.e. you admit your action - or some of it - but insist it doesn´t and shouldn´t matter.

More or less what Franken did yesterday.

This admission exposes the whole smear as a fake. If she had explained the notes at the start of her story it might have seemed vaguely plausible. The fact that she first tried to pass it off as legitimate and then confessed after she was caught undermines the credibility of the entire sorry attempt. Why has the MSM not also brought up the fact that Leah Corfman has accused three ministers of sexual assault as well as Roy Moore and all the other accusations were refuted.

As for Ms. Allred either she knew or she chose not to know by deliberately avoiding any scrutiny, not sure there’s much difference sort of like the difference between gross negligence and extreme carelessness. Disbar her.

Re #22, yes. Her stepson (surname Nelson) came out early on and said she was a known liar. That she didn’t tell the truth about anything

Attalla, ALABAMA — Darrel Nelson, the stepson of Republican senatorial candidate Roy Moore accuser Beverly Young Nelson, claims that his stepmother’s accusations are “one hundred percent a lie.”
“I know for a fact that there is a lot that that woman does not tell the truth on,” Nelson claimed in an in-person interview with Breitbart News. “Do I think that Beverly is trustworthy? No, I really don’t. Could I see her making it up? …The odds are in that favor.”

More:

And now the latest – the Moore campaign has released a lengthy statement poking holes in Nelson’s claims

Everything from Nelson’s age when she began working at the Olde Hickory House, to the restaurant’s hours, to the physical layout of the location Nelson says Moore assaulted her have been called into question – aided by the testimony of former Old Hickory House employee Rhonda Ledbetter, a waitress at Olde Hickory House for almost three years from 1977-1979, along with another former employee.

In addition, two former waitresses and two former customers say they never say Moore come into the restaurant, despite Nelson’s claim that he was there “almost every night.”

According to Ledbetter, Olde Hickory House required employees to be 16 years old. Nelson claims she was 15 when she started.
According to two former employees, the dumpsters were on the side of the building. Nelson claimed that they were in the back.
Olde Hickory House sat right off of the four-lane highway and had a wrap-around porch with lights all around it. Nelson claimed that the surroundings were “dark and isolated.”
Rhonda Ledbetter, who worked at Olde Hickory House for almost 3 years, states that the earliest it closed was at 11 p.m. but she believes it was open until midnight. She is certain it did not close at 100 because Goodyear was next door, and employees came to eat when their shift ended at 10 p.m. Nelson claims her story occurred after the restaurant closed at 10 p.m.

From that same ZeroHedge article, an explanation for why former employees came forward. And what happened with the media re some of their statements:

“I came forward because from what I’ve seen, the media is only interested in reporting one side of this story. In fact, Dixon Hayes from WRBC in Birmingham asked for former employees to contact him but never responded when I told him I never saw Roy Moore come into Olde Hickory House during the three years I worked for. Two other news outlets in the state asked to interview me and I agreed, but neither one has aired my interview and I have to wonder why they don’t think the people of Alabama deserve to hear anything that counteracts the accusations against Judge Moore. It’s not for me to say whether or not something happened, I can only tell the truth about factual details that I know for sure. I think all Alabamians deserve to have all of the facts so they can decide for themselves what the truth is. Despite what the national media and people in DC might say, Alabama voters are intelligent and have common sense.

Investigators in both House and Senate were stunned late Friday when, receiving a batch of newly-released texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, they also received notice from the bureau that the FBI "failed to preserve" Strzok-Page messages from December 14, 2016 through May 17, 2017. Given the amount of texting that went on between Strzok and Page, who were having an extramarital affair, that probably meant thousands of missing documents. Lawmakers investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election vowed Tuesday to force answers from Steve Bannon after the former senior strategist to President Donald Trump stonewalled their inquiries — even after the committee issued a subpoena with bipartisan support. Lawmakers in both parties attributed Bannon´s silence to the White House, which they said told him to refuse to discuss his time in the West Wing or on Trump´s transition team. Bannon´s refusal to speak clearly angered lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee, who vowed to make him speak.

U.S. counterintelligence officials in early 2017 warned Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump´s son-in-law and senior adviser, that Wendi Deng Murdoch, a prominent Chinese-American businesswoman, could be using her close friendship with Mr. Kushner and his wife, Ivanka Trump, to further the interests of the Chinese government, according to people familiar with the matter. U.S. officials have also had concerns about a counterintelligence assessment that Ms. Murdoch was lobbying for a high-profile construction project funded by the Chinese government in Washington, D.C., one of these people said. The project, a planned $100 million Chinese garden at the National Arboretum, was deemed a

Congressional investigations into the Trump dossier have so far been focused on the FBI and Justice Department. They still are, but now investigators are also looking into a possible Obama State Department role in the collection and dissemination of sensational and still-unverified allegations against candidate Donald Trump gathered by a former British spy working for the Hillary Clinton campaign. In addition to having contacts in the Obama Justice Department and FBI, that former spy, Christopher Steele, was also well-connected with the Obama State Department. A book published in November by a correspondent at the Guardian, "Collusion: Secret meetings, dirty money, and

Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that while she believes the #MeToo movement is "a good thing," people need "to be a little bit careful" about how they respond to it. "Let´s not turn women into snowflakes. Let´s not infantilize women," Rice insisted during an interview with CNN´s David Axelrod on "The Axe Files," which airs at 7 ET Saturday night. Rice said she didn´t want "to get to a place that men start to think, ´Well, maybe it´s just better not to have women around.´ I´ve heard a little bit of that. And it, it worries me," she told

How illegal immigrant Dreamers amassed

Democrats called it the Trump shutdown. Republicans labeled it the Schumer shutdown. But in reality, it was the Dreamer shutdown. The recipe for the current congressional gridlock is complex, but at the top of the list of ingredients are the illegal immigrant Dreamers who pushed Democrats to launch the filibuster that sent the government careening into a partial shutdown. It’s a stunning display of political leverage for a group that, at most, numbers several million, can’t vote now, and even under the most generous proposals wouldn’t be able to cast ballots for another decade. Yet they have amassed an extraordinary amount of

You’ve got to feel for Robert Mueller. The man overseeing the special investigation into Russian election meddling is by all accounts a non-partisan straight shooter, the model image of a public-minded civil servant. Drafted to lead politically polarizing investigation, working under the beady eyes of distrustful congressional Republicans, Mueller has striven to keep his team’s conduct as unimpeachable as possible by bringing on some of America’s sharpest legal minds to check his own work and keeping public comments to a minimum. Imagine how Mueller feels, then, to have to answer so frequently for the partisans and incompetents surrounding him. The special counsel’s biggest

Malia Obama, who is studying at Harvard University, has boyfriend! But some black people on Twitter have questioned her choice in men, because Malia´s new homey, Rory Farquharson, is white. (5 tweets) This racism on the part of some in the black community, who are bruddas and sistas to us all, is very sad. Most white people want us to grow together as a community. I just wish everyone of all races felt the same way. Questions for discussion: After years of Obama´s race baiting, President Trump is the first "post-racial" president to follow him. Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) questioned President Donald Trump’s new campaign ad saying Democrats “will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants” if they continued the shutdown. Ryan said, “They are certainly not helping us keep the government open. They are certainly not helping us get to a solution on immigration. When you shut down the government you stop negotiating on immigration reform. They’re complicity with not getting things done.” He added, “I’m not going to comment. I just saw that. I don’t know if that’s necessarily productive. It’s no

Congressional investigators believe they are barely beginning to answer the questions raised by the text messages between the FBI´s Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. For several reasons: 1) Strzok and Page were more prolific texters than anyone knew. In a statement late Monday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said FBI investigators have found "over 50,000 texts" in their review of Strzok-Page communications. 2) Even with all those texts, the FBI says it cannot find the couple´s messages between Dec. 14, 2016, and May 17, 2017 — a critical time in the Trump-Russia affair. It´s probably safe to say there is not a single

A number of critical events in the Trump-Russia affair occurred between December 2016 and May 2017, including: Conversations between Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey

New text messages from anti-Trump FBI agents reviewed by investigators reportedly make reference to a "secret society," in what could be the nail in the coffin for special counsel Robert Mueller´s Russia investigation. Investigators have reviewed 50,000 text messages on FBI servers looking for all exchanges between anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page during the 2016 election, Fox News reported. The revelation comes as investigators are seeking the whereabouts of approximately five months´ worth of text messages between Page and Strzok. The mood on the international conference call at the beginning of this month was somber as Ian Bremmer, president of the political risk consulting firm Eurasia Group, prepared to list off top global dangers in the coming year. Bremmer began with a show-stopping line:"If we had to pick one year for a big unexpected crisis — the geopolitical equivalent of the 2008 financial meltdown — it feels like 2018." The reasons are many, Bremmer cited, but the most prominent causes for global insecurity stem from U.S. President Donald Trump´s move away from global leadership, and China´s eagerness to fill the

WASHINGTON – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called the government shutdown a “manufactured crisis” created by Democrats who want a permanent Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) fix, which he referred to as a “non-emergency” issue that does not belong in the short-term spending bill to continue federal government operations. “The one non-emergency issue our friends on the other side of the aisle are trying to shoehorn into this discussion doesn’t reach that status of emergency until March. This is pure folly. The American people know so, that´s why in a recent survey a majority said keeping the government open

Chuck Schumer is taking his big spending boost for Donald Trump’s border wall off the table. The Senate minority leader, through an aide, informed the White House on Monday that he was retracting the offer he made last week to give Trump well north of the $1.6 billion in wall funding Trump had asked for this year, according to two Democrats. And now they say Trump will simply not get a better deal than that on his signature campaign promise. Schumer “took it off,” said Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the No. 2 Senate Democrat. “He called the White House yesterday and said

Calling the Trump administration’s tax reform plan a “middle-class tax increase,” two California lawmakers introduced a bill that would force large companies to fork over half of their expected savings to the state. Assemblymen Kevin McCarty and Phil Ting, both Democrats, introduced Assembly Constitutional Amendment 22, which calls for a 10 percent surcharge on companies with a net earnings over $1 million. The plan could potentially raise billions for the state´s social services programs. “It is unconscionable to force working families to pay the price for tax breaks and loopholes benefiting corporations and wealthy individuals,” Ting said in a statement,

The Senate on Monday was set to hold a successful vote to reopen the federal government, after Senate Democrats agreed to let the bill through even though it doesn´t include immigration language they are seeking. "We will vote today to reopen the government to continue negotiating a global agreement," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said on the floor. Under the bill up to be called up, the government would be fully funded through Feb. 8, and it would fund the Children´s Health Insurance Program for six years. It would also reopen the government, which has been partially closed since midnight
