Trump Jr. cites attorney-client

Donald Trump Jr. on Wednesday cited attorney-client privilege to avoid telling lawmakers about a conversation he had with his father, President Donald Trump, after news broke this summer that the younger Trump — and top campaign brass — had met with Russia-connected individuals in Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign. Though neither Trump Jr. nor the president is an attorney, Trump Jr. told the House Intelligence Committee that there was a lawyer in the room during the discussion, according to the committee’s top Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff of California. Schiff said he didn’t think it was a legitimate invocation of attorney-client

Im so sick of these double standards. Where is politico´s article with the comments from Gowdy who chaired the hearing? He said last night that after 10 hours of testimony.. there was nothing.. nothing new that revealed anything remotely leading them to wrongful acts.

Adam Schiff is another democrat media whore. If it´s not legal for DTJr. to invoke this "right", then sue him. But Schiff is more focused on becoming a media darling than reality.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Rand Paul was on the verge of becoming a powerful senator and the nation’s leading libertarian. His neighbor was a successful doctor and Kennedy-style Democrat who favored nationalized medicine. They might have sparred over health care or taxes, but an acquaintance of both said they stood in their yards roughly a decade ago shouting at each other over the grass clippings Paul’s mower had shot on Rene Boucher’s property. “?‘I ask him, I tell him and he won’t pay attention,’?” the acquaintance, Bill Goodwin, recalls Boucher saying after the argument. “?‘One of these days.’?” That day may have come

Lena Dunham may be the first person to fabricate details of her alleged rape, then proclaim all women’s claims need to be believed, and then publicly accuse a young woman of lying about having been raped. Finally, the star and creator of “Girls” has been exposed as the empty vessel she is. “Girls” was never the smart, generational criticism Dunham always claimed; really, it was just a smuttier, younger “Sex and the City.” Nor is there as much daylight between Dunham and her shallow, entitled character Hannah Horvath as she’d have us believe. “I think I might be the voice of a generation,”

After weeks of continuously unfolding abuse scandals, men have become, quite literally, unbelievable. What any given man might say about gender politics and how he treats women are separate and unrelated phenomena. Liberal or conservative, feminist or chauvinist, woke or benighted, young or old, found on Fox News or in The New Republic, a man’s stated opinions have next to no relationship to behavior. Through sheer bulk, the string of revelations about men from Bill Cosby to Roger Ailes to Harvey Weinstein to Louis C.K. to Al Franken and, this week, to Charlie Rose and John Lasseter, have forced men to

One year ago, Megyn Kelly was on top of the world. Her nightly Fox News program The Kelly File had briefly unseated The O’Reilly Factor at the top of the ratings. The host had begun – despite a 12-year tenure at the network of Roger Ailes – to ingratiate herself with conservatives and liberals alike. She even seemed, for a moment, impervious to the fickle nature of newscasting: the critics who excoriated her history of racially insensitive remarks would just as easily anoint her a feminist firebrand for her takedowns of Newt Gingrich and Anthony Weiner. President Barack Obama’s Justice Department created a “slush fund” of nearly $1 billion using legal settlements with banks and steered those funds to political allies on the left while excluding conservative groups, internal documents show. The financial institutions, which made legal settlements with the Obama administration regarding mortgage securities that imploded during the 2008 financial crisis, include Bank of America Corp., Citigroup Inc., Goldman Sachs Group Inc., and JPMorgan Chase. Public records of the settlement agreements with the Justice Department show that when cash donations to liberal groups are combined with other donations in the form of loans and a separate settlement
