‘Thanks, Obama!’ Former president

Former President Barack Obama is taking credit for the robust economic growth that is taking place under President Trump. At a conference of mayors in Chicago, Mr. Obama congratulated himself Tuesday for strong employment numbers in the U.S. this year, saying his climate-change policies have contributed to growth. “As we took these actions, we saw the U.S. economy grow consistently,” Mr. Obama said. “We saw the longest streak of job creation in American history by far, a streak that still continues by the way.” He added wryly, “Thanks, Obama.” The stock market has gained about 30 percent in value since

Maybe he needs to go back to looking at himself in the mirror and taking ´selfies´

He certainly didn´t ´build it´ but he added $10 trillion to the debt and almost brought it down. Almost everything became de-valued.

The economy grew despite Obama´s policies. Any idiot can grow the economy at less than 2% if you are running trillion dollar deficits and doubling the National Debt in 8 years. Read Burton Folsom´s excellent book New Deal or Raw Deal which chronicles how FDR prolonged the Great Depression through abuse of power and misguided anti business policies and you will get an idea of what Democrats do in a financial downturn. Thank God that Obama lost Congress in 2010 because of the Obamacare overreach. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5249492-new-deal-or-raw-deal

There are fine constitutional lawyers who can argue back and forth about the Masterpiece Cakeshop case the Supreme Court heard last week, which will determine whether a Christian baker can decline to make a same-sex couple’s wedding cake. The court’s decision will either limit antidiscrimination law or limit First Amendment protections, so it’s not surprising that you can find deeply-footnoted legal arguments on both sides. Nor is it surprising that I’m on the side of the baker. But I’m not going to make a constitutional argument for his rights. I’m going to make a political argument for why our country would

In the wake of President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital last week, the “experts” crowding the media predicted strategic calamity: Vast, violent protests and a wave of terror would sweep the Muslim world in the coming days. Instead, the largest demonstration anywhere this weekend was the funeral procession for Johnny Hallyday, the “French Elvis.” Nothing in the Middle East came close. We have witnessed, yet again, the carefully phrased anti-Semitism of the pristinely educated; the global left’s fanatical pro-Palestinian bias; and the media’s yearning for career-making disasters. Southern California’s largest and most destructive wildfire exploded in size Sunday, forcing more people in the path of the unpredictable flames to get out with their lives. The so-called Thomas fire has burned about 200,000 acres and is only 15 percent contained, Fox 11 reported. The fire grew by more than 25,000 acres during the day, the Los Angeles Times added. Officials ordered new evacuations for people living east of Mission Canyon and north of Highway 192. “Some places the smoke is going straight up in the air, and others it’s blowing sideways. Donald Trump´s first year in office has been, to put it mildly, a rocky one. But it can be argued that he´s ending it on an upswing. Congress is likely to soon pass a tax reform bill. Friday, it was CNN’s turn to be caught spreading a false yarn — this one trying to link Team Trump with WikiLeaks and its supposed efforts, along with the Russians, to throw last year’s election to Trump. On Sept. 4, 2016, CNN said, Donald Trump Jr. got an e-mail tipping him off to WikiLeaks material that wasn’t yet public. That sure sounds like an effort to collude.
