Yes, Hillary knew all about Harvey Weinstein

Lena Dunham isn´t the most reliable of narrators, but the New York Times is reporting that she, along with bigshot magazine editor Tina Brown, both warned the Hillary Clinton campaign all about Harvey Weinstein´s depredations and got ignored. Hillary Clinton says she had never heard of any Weinstein problems until she read them in the news. Now, all by herself, Dunham might be suspected of publicity-hounding at this late date, but because Brown is making the same charge, she probably isn´t. "I just want ... to let you know that Harvey´s a rapist and this is going to come out at

Amnesty International, the sanctimonious purported human rights group that champions halting the death penalty, has been caught taking $160,000 from George Soros´s Open Society Foundation to promote...abortion, in contravention of Irish law. File under "unclear on the concept" in championing the value of human life. It´s hard to say which player in this drama here is most loathsome. Soros is appalling just for his uni-world vision with rotted out values, from pot legalization to releasing predators out on the streets from prisons to coercive, anything-goes redefinitions of family. Update (1:30 p.m.) - California Governor Jerry Brown says deadly and destructive wildfires in winter are "the new normal." Brown on Saturday toured Ventura County neighborhoods ravaged by a weeklong wildfire that killed at least one person and destroyed hundreds of homes and other buildings. At a news conference, Brown said drought and climate change mean California faces a "new reality" where lives and property are continually threatened by fire, at a cost of billions of dollars. He added that gusty winds and low humidity are continuing and warned that there´s a good chance of seeing "firefighting at Christmas." He also said: "With climate

North County’s Lilac wildfire is now 20 percent contained as firefighters focus on hotspots and embers that could ignite islands of vegetation the fire hasn’t yet scorched. Many residents forced to evacuate continue to wait for permission to return home, with firefighting officials saying they’re reluctant to let residents go back because they could be forced to evacuate again if fires flare up. Some of the crews that worked overnight to suppress the 4,100-acre blaze are getting relief from new crews scheduled to join the effort this morning. Accustomed to the highly-regimented life of the racetrack, hundreds of thoroughbreds frantically galloped together Thursday trying to escape the blazing Lilac wildfire. Terrified, the speedsters stampeded through Bonsall’s San Luis Rey Downs horse-training facility, whinnying, rolling their eyes and thundering through thick smoke as the fire quickly consumed the barns where they had spent the morning serenely munching hay. The fire arrived at the sprawling 500-stall complex on Camino Del Rey about one mile east of Highway 76 a bit before 2 p.m., causing ever-more-frantic public address system calls to
