From the moment Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination and then the presidency, national security officials under President Obama have shown themselves to be intense adversaries in public and behind the scenes. In the latest development, special counsel Robert Mueller’s top-gun prosecutor, Andrew Weissmann, praised acting Attorney General Sally Yates, a Trump nemesis, for refusing a White House order to defend the president’s travel ban on Muslim-majority countries, according to internal emails. Mr. Weissmann made it clear whose side he was on. “I am so proud,” Mr. Weissmann wrote to Ms. Yates when he was the head of the Obama Justice Department’s criminal
President Trump is an amazing man.No wonder the left is trying to oust him.People complain about his tweets but if I was in his position,I´d have to hire a full time censor to keep an eye on what I would say. There´s a hell of a lot of people after this guy and he stands up to them time after time. The media circus is ran by a head parrot that tells the rest of them what to say.Pelosi can´t go 5 minutes without saying tax cuts for the rich.I wonder if her and her husband will refuse their tax cut. Botox isn´t getting any cheaper.
Time is running out Mr. President ! The left crazies who hate you are feverishly going about their task of overthrowing the government and are getting closer and closer to doing just that.
It is about twelve months into your Presidency and not one of the left over swamp creatures from the ´bama fiasco has been indicted for breaking the law. What is your AG doing? Apparently nothing ! The people who are trying to overthrow your legally obtained position must be stopped...and NOW.
Indictments and prosecutions must begin NOW and these people be taken out of the effort to remove you from office.
If Sessions is not going to do his job he must be replaced immediately with someone who will do the job as AG !
FTA "The anti-Trump moves by Obama aides began in July 2016 during his campaign for the presidency.Then-FBI Director James B. Comey began a criminal investigation of the Trump campaign, in whole or part, based on a dossier financed by the Democratic Party with an aim to destroy the Republican candidate. Its salacious and sometimes far-fetched scenarios of Russia-Trump collusion on the Russian hack of Democratic Party computers have not been confirmed publicly." Amen!
Should be a must read. Excellent chronological listing of events and obama sycophants involved in the on going ´stealth coup´. This coup attempt will never be acknowledged by the msm but we here have known for some time. God help President Trump destroy this coup attempt!
“I wanted to make sure that every information and bit of intelligence that we had was shared with the [FBI] so that they could take it,” Mr. Brennan told ...
A lot of intelligence that comes in is pure garbage. A capable intelligence agent must have a good idea what "feels" right and what doesn´t. Brennan KNEW this was garbage but he tossed it to the FBI so that they would start looking at it. Then they could leak that it was being "investigated".
They generated the lies, laundered them through several agencies to disguise the source and build up the hype (remember the "all" intelligence agency consensus that came down to Brennan, Clapper, and Comey?), pushed to start an investigation, and refused to admit that Trump himself was not under investigation. Now they are using Gestapo tactics and attacking people using the power of the federal government to intimidate and financially bury them.
AND THEY STILL HAVE NOTHING!
They pressured a few sad souls into making stupid statements, things that Hillary´s people actively lied about and got a pass for, and tortured out a pathetic "lying" charge about things that weren´t even criminal to begin with. It has NOTHING to do with Trump, NOTHING to do with the election, and NOTHING to do with Russians.
The only question I have is, when this completely collapses under it´s own stench and the true plotters and liars associated with Hillary, BO, the DNC, and others are exposed, WHAT will be THEIR penalty? At a minimum they should be branded as traitors and banished from government service. They deserve jail time (I would pay good money to see smug Comey behind bars). The intelligence and investigative agencies of the US were corrupted in service of a political end. This MUST NOT STAND!!
Let´s get this clear - The Swamp is a bi-partisan creation, and it is a bi-partisan interest that defends it using whatever means necessary, from the media to the FBI to you name it. Trump represents a threat, and that must be fended off until he is gone, however that may happen. And that´s why the Republicans are not full-throated in supporting Trump for any/all charges. The GOPe, those we "conservatives" re-elect term after term, wants him GONE, too.
As we heard around here for eight Obama years, impeachment doesn´t need any evidence. It is politics. The only things that keeps Trump from impeachment are that the GOP would be committing political suicide with its base, and the "charges" are way too flimsy and the fairness of the investigators is in ever deeper public doubt. It also helps that everyone´s 401(k) is up 30 percent this year.
Bathhouse Barry gave away his plans when he rented a home right up the street from the White House instead of moving to Arizona as previously planned. It was supposed to be easy to install Hillary in the Oval Office and continue to be the idol of the left for another four to eight years. All of the coup participants would be protected from their crimes, include Hillary´s own treason and massive theft. But, alas, they met their match and more. Obama looks like an idiot (still) and Hillary looks like she is taking her last few breaths. America has a real leader. The sun is shining.
"Mr. Trump continues to exhibit paranoia about American intelligence agencies," wrote the NeverTrump conservative Max Boot in the New York Times a week or so before the president took office. "Consumed by his paranoia about the deep state, Donald Trump has disappeared into the fog of his own conspiracy theories," declared the Times´ Maureen Dowd. "Paranoia seizes Trump´s White House," reported Politico, noting the suspicion that "career intelligence operatives are working to undermine the new president." Actually, they were. "It´s no mystery why Trump doesn´t trust U.S. intelligence agencies," Bloomberg´s Eli Lake wrote last month. "As the old saying goes:
Special prosecutors, investigators, and counsels are usually a bad idea. They are admissions that constitutionally mandated institutions don’t work — and can be rescued only by supposed superhuman moralists, who are without the innate biases inherent in human nature. The record from Lawrence Walsh to Ken Starr to Patrick Fitzgerald suggests otherwise. Originally narrow mandates inevitably expand — on the cynical theory that everyone has something embarrassing to hide. Promised “short” timelines and limited budgets are quickly forgotten. Prosecutors search for ever new crimes to justify the expense and public expectations of the special-counsel appointment. Soon the investigators need to
FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers Thursday he could not “lawfully” give them access to a confidential warrant application for permission to surveil members of the Trump campaign, but President Donald Trump could lawfully order him to do just that through his subordinates at the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ). The FBI’s Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrant application would reveal whether the bureau relied upon the Steele dossier – unverified opposition research on President Donald Trump financed by the Clinton campaign – to obtain a warrant allowing them to surveil Trump campaign officials. During his Thursday testimony before the
A family’s toy review videos, starring their six-year-old son, has turned the youngster into one of the richest YouTube stars online. Ryan, the star of Ryan ToysReview, finished in the Top 10 of Forbes’ highest-paid YouTube stars in the world this year. The 6-year-old’s massively popular channel has reportedly earned $11 million in 2017. The channel has attracted a huge following of parents and children who watch Ryan test out new toys and give his thoughts on them. Ryan ToysReview started in 2015 when the boy was only four; it now has over 10 million subscribers and his videos were reportedly
It’s a wonder that President Trump devotes so much time to discrediting the press, when the press does so much to discredit itself. The media’s errors over the last week haven’t been marginal or coincidental, but involved blockbuster reports on one of the most dominating stories of the last year — Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. And they all slanted one way — namely, toward lurid conclusions about the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with the Russians. Every media outlet makes mistakes. It’s easier than ever to run with fragmentary or dubious information in a frenzied news cycle that never stops.
Even as panicked commuters rushed toward them, four officers didn´t hesitate to engage the man accused of detonating an explosive in the New York City subway system this morning, leaping on top of the suspect and removing the device before more damage could be done. The explosion occurred in an underground passageway near the Port Authority Bus Terminal, sending commuters scrambling to evacuate a major transit hub just blocks from Times Square. Despite the rush-hour crowds, only five people suffered minor injuries, officials said. The 27-year-old suspect, Akayed Ullah, is in the hospital, badly injured in the arm and torso from
The man who says he acted as a “go-between” last year to inform Sen. John McCain about the controversial “dossier” containing salacious allegations about then-candidate Donald Trump is speaking out, revealing how the ex-British spy who researched the document helped coordinate its release to the FBI, the media and Capitol Hill. “My mission was essentially to be a go-between and a messenger, to tell the senator and assistants that such a dossier existed,” Sir Andrew Wood told Fox News in an exclusive interview with senior executive producer Pamela K. Browne. Fox News spoke to Wood at the 2017 Halifax International Security Forum
There are fine constitutional lawyers who can argue back and forth about the Masterpiece Cakeshop case the Supreme Court heard last week, which will determine whether a Christian baker can decline to make a same-sex couple’s wedding cake. The court’s decision will either limit antidiscrimination law or limit First Amendment protections, so it’s not surprising that you can find deeply-footnoted legal arguments on both sides. Nor is it surprising that I’m on the side of the baker. But I’m not going to make a constitutional argument for his rights. I’m going to make a political argument for why our country would
With minor exceptions, almost everywhere one goes that is a public facility like airports, bus and railroad stations, as well as most private venues like the lobbies of banks and corporate towers and even bars and restaurants, CNN is the default cable news network hanging Big Brother-like on the wall for all to see and believe. Often it is blaring at us in elevators. This is true even though in terms of voluntary home viewership CNN trails massively behind Fox News and even the less popular MSNBC. It´s clear from years of ratings, the people, by and large and consistently, don´t
In the wake of President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital last week, the “experts” crowding the media predicted strategic calamity: Vast, violent protests and a wave of terror would sweep the Muslim world in the coming days. Instead, the largest demonstration anywhere this weekend was the funeral procession for Johnny Hallyday, the “French Elvis.” Nothing in the Middle East came close. We have witnessed, yet again, the carefully phrased anti-Semitism of the pristinely educated; the global left’s fanatical pro-Palestinian bias; and the media’s yearning for career-making disasters. Rather than waves of protest, the waiting world got tepid statements of disapproval from
Southern California’s largest and most destructive wildfire exploded in size Sunday, forcing more people in the path of the unpredictable flames to get out with their lives. The so-called Thomas fire has burned about 200,000 acres and is only 15 percent contained, Fox 11 reported. The fire grew by more than 25,000 acres during the day, the Los Angeles Times added. Officials ordered new evacuations for people living east of Mission Canyon and north of Highway 192. “Some places the smoke is going straight up in the air, and others it’s blowing sideways. Depends on what canyon we’re in,” Santa Barbara County
Donald Trump´s first year in office has been, to put it mildly, a rocky one. But it can be argued that he´s ending it on an upswing. Congress is likely to soon pass a tax reform bill. Robert Mueller´s "Russia Squad" is getting its first round of bad press. Judge Roy Moore is favored to win next week´s Senate election in Alabama with Trump´s support. The Supreme Court has acquiesced to Trump´s travel ban for now (while it waits for the lower courts to rule). The Supreme Court also offers hope to social conservatives in the Masterpiece Cakeshop case, facilitated by
On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-host Mika Brzezinski argued President Trump’s tweet about Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) constitutes sexual harassment and that people who work around the president and don’t try to get him to delete the tweet don’t care about the country or women. Brzezinski said, “I just want to say something, beyond the fact that it is reprehensible that the president of the United States would say something so derogatory and disgusting about a woman, we’re not surprised, Mr. President. You do it all the time. You treat women terribly, and you treat the women around
DEVELOPING…Democrat Doug Jones has defeated Roy Moore in Alabama’s Senate election, according to a projection from the Fox News Decision Desk.ORIGINAL STORY…The hard-fought Alabama Senate race between Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones remains too close to call, though a Fox News voter analysis shows the Democratic nominee enjoying a lead over his GOP rival. Jones’ competitiveness is a remarkable development in a deep red state that reflects just how badly Moore has been hurt by a sex scandal. But the race is still fluid. With 87 percent of precincts reporting, Jones and Moore both had 49.2 percent, according to
The NFL protests have been lucrative for social justice charities — they´ll receive a whopping $89 million in "settlement" money, redirected from veterans and breast cancer charity funds — but they´re also becoming a boon for cash-strapped football fans. It turns out, if you can still stomach a professional football game, you can now get tickets for about the same price as a couple of Starbucks lattes. According to Vivid Seats, an NFL ticket reselling site, seat prices at most NFL stadiums have bottomed out, leaving fans able to snag a lower level seat for a Buffalo Bills game for
The family of the alleged ISIS-inspired Port Authority bomber said they were “heartbroken” by the attack on Monday and blasted law enforcement agencies for what they claimed were heavy-handed tactics by investigators. “We are heartbroken by the violence that was targeted at our city today and by the allegations being made against a member of our family,” said the statement read by Albert Fox Cahn, the Legal Director for the NY Chapter Council for Islamic Relations. “But we’re also outraged by the behavior of the law enforcement officials who held children as small as 4 years old out in the
President Trump attacked Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) in a sexually suggestive tweet Tuesday morning that implied Gillibrand would do just about anything for money, prompting a swift and immediate backlash. “Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Charles E. Schumer and someone who would come to my office ´begging´ for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump,” the president wrote. “Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!”
In 1990, when liberal journalists still had some sense of obligation to the truth, Michael Kelly wrote the following for GQ: As [Carla] Gaviglio enters the room, the six-foot-two, 225-plus-pound [Sen. Ted] Kennedy grabs the five-foot-three, 103-pound waitress and throws her on the table. She lands on her back, scattering crystal, plates and cutlery and the lit candles. Several glasses and a crystal candlestick are broken. Kennedy then picks her up from the table and throws her on [Sen. Chris] Dodd, who is sprawled in a chair. (snip) Here is what McCaskill had to say about Kennedy´s behavior upon his death
On Monday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour President Donald Trump should resign over the sexual misconduct allegations against him. Gillibrand said, “President Trump should resign. These allegations are credible, they are numerous. I’ve heard these women’s testimony, and many of them are heartbreaking. And President Trump should resign his position.” She added, “Whether he will ever hold himself accountable is something you really can’t hold your breath for. And so, Congress should have hearings. They should do their investigation. They should have appropriate investigations of his behavior and hold him accountable.”
A supposed "rising star" at the State Department has resigned in anger over President Trump´s and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson´s policies. Elizabeth Shackelford gave her resignation letter to the left-leaning Foreign Policy magazine, which was, of course, all too happy to publish it. Shackelford´s letter says she believes the new administration has abandoned human rights as a priority, and shows disdain for the State Department´s diplomatic work. "I have deep respect for the career Foreign and Civil Service staff who, despite the stinging disrespect this Administration has shown our profession, continue the struggle to keep our foreign policy on the positive
The rules of interaction between women and men in the workplace have been changed with a suddenness that inevitably produces unforeseen negative consequences, no matter how positive and necessary the switch might be. (snip) With the stakes so high, given the presumption of female veracity and male culpability anytime an objection is raised, men are, frankly, terrified. Get used to it, ladies. That is the other side of the coin of the new normal. The old norms that men (often cluelessly) incorporated into their behavior now have been discarded, but we have no clear understanding of what should replace them. By
Margaret Thatcher was born one. So were predecessor Prime Ministers Benjamin Disraeli and William E. Gladstone. Diana, the princess of Wales, too. Also William Pitt, who presided over the British victory in the French and Indian War and lent his name to Pittsburgh. And, according to some university authorities four decades ago, me as well. We were all born commoners. But — despite what newspapers, websites and television stations on both sides of the Atlantic have reported with wonder and wild-eyed delight — Meghan Markle, the actor who is to marry Prince Harry, is not a commoner. She’s an American, and
A suspect is in custody following an explosion at one of New York City’s busiest transit hubs in Times Square during Monday morning’s rush hour, police said. The bombing suspect was identified as Akayed Ullah, 27, according to New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill. Ullah had an explosive device strapped to his body, O’Neill said. What do we know about the suspect? Law enforcement sources told Fox News Ullah lives in Brooklyn. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said the explosion was an “attempted terrorist attack.” Sources told the Associated Press that Ullah may be of Bangladeshi descent. What else do we know about the
Several women who have accused US President Donald Trump of sexual assault and harassment were expected Monday to call on Congress to open an investigation. A press conference by the women will be hosted by Brave New Films, a media company that recently produced a clip detailing sexual harassment or assault claims by 16 women against Trump. A press release from Brave New Films on Sunday said the women would relate their accounts of Trump’s alleged “groping, fondling, forcibly kissing, humiliating, and harassing women.” The White House has dismissed all of the accusations as lies. During Trump’s presidential campaign, more than
