The quest for collusion is over as the
desperate shriek for impeachment begins

Washington Post, by Ed Rogers

The quest for collusion is over. Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s Russia investigation has not — either through leaks or announced indictments — revealed any collusion, and Democrats and their allies in the liberal mainstream media know that it never will. This reality is setting in among the president’s clearer-thinking foes, and they are transitioning to an obstruction of justice claim in an effort to sustain the fight with President Trump. Mueller’s investigation has been looking into Russian meddling in the 2016 election since May. His team has made a number of consequential findings, but none of them establish collusion

This is getting harder to follow. DNC, aka hillary campaign, operative colludes with Russians to create damning evidence of a fictitious but clearly sociopathic Donald Trump. Trump is then accused of colluding with the Russians who wanted him to win because clinton had "overcharged" (similar to Cyrillic word for "reset") for 20% of US uranium stockpile. Mr. Trump wins the election and cleans house of associates who had had business with the Russians in the past. The deputy director of the Justice Department fires the director of the FBI on behalf of the Attorney General, who was conned into recusing himself of anything that has to do with non gang-related crime. Eavesdropping evidence, secured on the basis of the fictional "oppo-research" fails to support any Russia/Trump collusion. Now President Trump´s bank accounts are being investigated for evidence that he obstructed the fishing expedition on reports of hiring Russian ladies to memorialize The Obama Suite in a Moscow hotel.

Trump on Losing Alabama Race: Win is a Win

President Donald Trump strongly backed Republican Roy Moore to win the U.S. Senate seat in Alabama vacated earlier this year by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Tonight in a special election, Moore lost that race to Doug Jones, who is the first Democrat to be elected to the Senate since 1992. Trump issued a congratulatory response to Jones´ victory on Twitter late Tuesday night. Donald J. Trump ? @realDonaldTrump Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at

I might as well get into the “hot take” game. Democrats and their media echo chamber will openly celebrate Doug Jones’s narrow win in Alabama, but inside I’ll bet they are actually disappointed. There is little chance they can hold this seat in 2020 (unless Republicans nominate Roy Moore again). Meanwhile, Jones deprives them of their favorite talking point that Republicans are all drooling knuckle-dragging morons. Worse, it means Al Franken will likely have to go through with his resignation after all. I’d bet money that a polygraph examination would reveal that Franken was secretly hoping for a Moore victory.

That was some resignation, the Al Franken speech at the Senate the other day. As he spoke, all we heard was “I didn’t do nothin’ — and, besides, you can’t prove it!” Some of the accusers, he asserted, were outright liars. As for the others — in so many words, it came down to: “Well, they say I grabbed them by the tush and squeezed as tightly as their available epidermis and subcutaneous adipose tissue allowed, or stuck my probing tongue into their mouths and swirled it around inside, saliva and all, like finishing off the last drippings of a

About 10 years ago, at the after-party for a wine auction in New Orleans, a woman in her 20s walked up to Mario Batali to introduce herself. As a chef, she was excited to meet one of the most revered figures in the restaurant industry. ABOARD A MILITARY AIRCRAFT — With the State Department in upheaval, and the president focused on "America First" domestic concerns, what diplomacy and foreign policy the White House is successfully exercising have fallen more and more to one man, retired Marine Gen. Massachusetts voters stood by Democratic Rep. The sexual harassment hysteria that shifted with such convenient alacrity from the entertainment industry and the news media to Capitol Hill has nothing to do with protecting women, “rape culture,” or radical feminism. It isn’t even about destroying President Trump, though his downfall is ever a consummation devoutly to be wished by the left. #MeToo, in its partisan permutation, is instead a movement cynically co-opted by Democrats desperately seeking an issue — any issue — that will save them from disaster in next year’s midterms. If someone had asked me back in the day, if, in 2017, we’d be having a discussion about whether a fundamentalist baker should be forced by the law to create a wedding cake for a gay couple, I’d have been gobsmacked, as the Brits say. Smacked in the gob because only a decade ago such a question would have seemed so remotely hypothetical as to be absurd. And yet, here we are. A Christian baker has taken a stand on the grounds of religious conscience and artistic freedom not to provide a cake specifically designed for a legal, constitutional same-sex

Al Franken’s resignation speech on Thursday seemed less heartfelt than grudging. He cast it not as an act of atonement — he continues to deny the charges largely and acknowledged through his stifled rage that his previous quasi-apologies had hastened his demise — but a reluctant act of gallantry. He was submitting docilely to the “broader conversation” on sexual harassment, he said, while signaling that his replacement, to whom he referred as “her,” would be a female pol embodying that conversation. The speech followed the usual pattern of lying pols: I didn’t do it, I’m only quitting because I am a
