Both Men and Women Can Be Sexual Predators
American Thinker, by Fay Voshell

Men accused of sexual taint continue to be beheaded by the media, falling like aristocrats trundled to the guillotine. The latest in the tumbrel full of miscreants to go under the blade is Matt Lauer, who was fired from NBC’s Today show for sexual misconduct. Apparently, Lauer’s tribe numbers in the hundreds of thousands. Or more. But just as it seems every man is a predator and every woman has been wrongfully fondled, there is a small cloud on the horizon that augers a storm. The cloud may portend a new revolution. Revolutions often begin with questions about truth and

If one sex had a nickel for every time the other sex insulted, cynically manipulated or emotionally damaged them, who would be richer - men or women? How many feminists of "metoo" fame openly supported sexual harasser/rapist Bill Clinton and his harassment/rape enabling "wife"? There´s your answer.

How come Ellen DeGeneres still has her show? For that matter, David Letterman seemed to hang onto his show for quite awhile. The hypocrisy is astounding.

So...the "Glass House Gang" is up to throwing stones again ?

Where is the sympathy for those who´s lack of power or poor appearance left them out of this whole problem ?

I have only seen Rachel Maddow for a few minutes on television but she strikes me as the aggressive type who would hit on and harass other women.

If she is ever accused it will be great fun to watch; whom to side with - the member of the victim community or the member of the LGBT community. What a dilemma for the left.

Really, #7...more men are predators than women?

That assertion varies from my experience as a supervisor and manager. I´m no great prize, but I can´t count the number of discreet "offers" I´ve gotten from women over my career, invariably looking to get ahead one way or another, especially when traveling. The term "Golddiggers" wasn´t coined for men.

And so many of these women involved in these celebrity scandals were pursuing their own advancement agenda...human nature is part of both the X and Y chromosomes, including desire and greed.

It´s NEVER the women...unless, as #3 points out, one searches "teacher arrested".

Statistically, men ARE predators more often than women (that we know of), but I fail to grasp the writer´s point regarding that well-known fact.

It wasn´t until the last 3 paragraphs that she started to come out of her theological fog. She is an M.Div, which explained a lot of her thinking.

If you really want to laugh out loud at the truth of the differences between men and women´s brains and are not easily offended by political incorrectness, try this for serious giggles.

(Not to downplay the gross booty grabbing of the men currently accused, but maybe the compulsion is not just a problem with men, eh?)

What´s that they say, #12, about lies, damn lies and statistics?

Women are as randy as men and generally in a better position to peddle their wares for whatever reason, including career advancement and as a power play. As #14 pointed out, anyone who raised teenage girls during the 70´s and 80´s should know that teenage girls are the greatest predators of all time. Except the behavior worsened in the 90´s and up to the present day...I still field occasional phone calls from "classmates" looking to hook up with my son - who left home several years ago. Like women afraid to come forward, what man would with the opening supposition that he must have been "The Predator"?

It was always my assumption that the "casting couch" in Hollyweird was a way for talent-free/minimal talent young starlets to get into movies, in addition to being a way for dirty old men to sleep with beautiful young women. I figured it was a business arrangement that benefited both parties, and that was why it continued to be an open secret.

Did anyone actually think that Jayne Mansfield had the slightest shred of talent with her clothes on? Yet, she was famous as a Hollyweird starlet for a decade or two. Many more case out there, no doubt.

I find this entire topic lacking in context. It seems the focus is on the extent to which women engage in the typical form of predation that sexually predatory men do. Sure it happens, but alas, men and women are different and the preponderance of female sexual predatory behavior does not fit the overt male model where one essentially forces themselves on another who objects at any level to the experience.

Men are far more likely to be preyed upon via enthusiastically consensual experiences, the fulfillment of their wildest dreams as they swallow the hook. Once the hook is irretrievably set, suddenly she is in total control then the abuse commences. Ever know a narcissistic woman?

Strangely enough as I write this the memory of my #metoo moment flashed into consciousness. It indeed was of the overt role reversal variety. There goes my credibility. Actually I have known a number of abused men who were lured into victimhood by women who know how to get what they want through the manipulation of male sexual desires. Just hasn’t happened to me.

#6, a sloppy kiss does not a predator make!
Men preying on women, because they feel they are deserving, and it´s what boys will be boys can do and get away with - those days are over.
Throw in the fact that people of a certain age are offended at dayum near everything, and even Grandpa kissing his female grandkids is anathema.
Women can and do harass other women, especially today because lesbianism, not that there´s anything wrong with it it (HA!), but in many catty ways of insults and psychological meanness, like withholding promotions to deserving women.

Several women who have accused US President Donald Trump of sexual assault and harassment were expected Monday to call on Congress to open an investigation. A press conference by the women will be hosted by Brave New Films, a media company that recently produced a clip detailing sexual harassment or assault claims by 16 women against Trump. A press release from Brave New Films on Sunday said the women would relate their accounts of Trump’s alleged “groping, fondling, forcibly kissing, humiliating, and harassing women.” The White House has dismissed all of the accusations as lies.
