Imagine: even the New York Times’ Ross Douthat now thinks that Bill Clinton should have stepped down over the Monica Lewinsky affair. Douthat’s mea culpa op-ed in this past weekend’s paper, in which he confesses that he and others may have been wrong to dismiss Bill Clinton’s indefensible behavior, will serve as the official political obituary for Clinton, Inc. Hillary Clinton is done, finished, kaput. Dogged by scandals old and new, out of step politically, her excess baggage has morphed into an entire baggage train, dragging her towards political oblivion. While it is refreshing to consider the landscape unadorned by Clintons,
Clinton will never be toast because people don´t care what she does. She could win the primary in 2020 if she´s healthy enough. You´re going to have a weird cast of leftist characters in 2020.Clinton feels like an old shoe to her voters.
Within the cesspool of Organized Crime(D), you are only toast if and when your bodyguards (aka "the media") decide you are no longer useful. Goes for BarackHussein as well as the Corleones, I mean the Clintons.
It´s the bodyguards that are the bigger problem...
I disagree that the demonrat party has moved far to the left of Bill and Illary. Illary has always been an ultra left-winger though she had done a fairly decent job of hiding it from her fans until last year. Bill may be a bit more moderate but he is certainly willing to follow the party if it means more power and more cash.
Not mentioned in the article is yesterday’s revelation that there are four more women accusing Slick of recent sexual harassment. And, of course, Illary’s first reaction is to hire detectives to dig up dirt on the accusers. The “lifetime advocate for women” is incapable of changing her spots. Women should shun her, ridicule her and drive her into the ground.
FTA "Her tour is an embarrassment, not only for its content, but because it is yet another example of the never-ending Clinton lust for cash. She has been selling “VIP” tickets for nearly $1,200; you would think she might treat her loyal supporters to a freebie, after they doled out billions only to see her lose." Loyal supporters aka fools and idiots!
I agree with the above posters she´s not gone, she´s running again. The book, the book tour, the constant criticism of President Trump and her bizarre belief that she is owed the Presidency. The one thing the Clintons excel at is getting rid of opponents. She needs to win the 2020 election in order to shutdown any potential investigations of her treasonous dealings as Secretary of State. Short of her achieving room temperature she´s running again.
The only thing pulling the Clinotons down is old age, not scandals. The Democrat Party is a criminal organization, has no ethics, morals, conscience, or anything else that would prevent anyone from advancing in that Party.
Next, watch for democrats to come up with a winning solution: Bill Clinton will, "step down", retroactively. That´s right! Then, they´ll say it´s time to mooove on, the way they do. /s.
Isn´t it about time for some stories to come out about Hillary, whether sexual abuse or physical abuse? Don´t tell us there aren´t any! We have heard rumors she swings both ways. We heard that during her campaign she grabbed the arm of one of her staffers to the point of pain. Would it be hard to believe she cornered one or more of Bill´s floozys in a stairwell/somewhere, threatened them, even roughed them up? Hmmm we have seen many take hits, artillery shells so to speak, falling all around the Clintons on the sexual abuse witch hunt but not Hillary herself. Could it be it´s because she´s controlling the messaging of all the sexual improprieties? Maybe we should not only look at what is coming out but what is missing as well. And there is quite a bit still missing re Hillary Clinton. She, the powers that be, think this witch hunt will make women the natural choice for upcoming elections. However, Hillary could end up being part of the collateral damage-there are big risks on what those who are perpetuating this witch are taking.
The purpose of the clinton foundation was to buy people and buy votes. People gave to the foundation to get close to the clintons. To get around pesky laws. to get cushy gov´t contracts. to get a fancy gov´t job. They gave money from the foundation to organizations. (They gave 5G to my alma mater.) The intention is that people associated with that organization will be euphoric with all things clinton.
Several things could be happening here: 1) the Clintons MIGHT be toast or 2) the Obamas might be trying to ditch Hillary (with or without her consent) or 3) she could be building her case that she´s really insane (and thus cannot be in jail) or 4) Hillary just will not give up on her pipe dream and is dragging everyone else down with her!
Why are Dems FINALLY distancing themselves from their Bubba? Unless they suspect there´s more damning dirt to come regarding his recent history, or perhaps it´s Uranium One, and perhaps its the finally Bimbo in the Coffin??
Evil, vindictive people never go away. They want to get even and Hillary is no exception. She wants to get even with American voters for kicking her arse, so unless she somehow, some way becomes unable to function, she´s here to stay.
If we say that Clinton should have resigned over his affair with Lewinsky, we accept the false narrative. Clinton was impeached and should have been removed from office because he used the power gifted to him by us of the Presidency to illegally fix a civil rights lawsuit by perjury, obstruction of justice, and suborning of perjury and thereby until the titles of the civil rights act denying not only Paula Jones but ALL women of their civil rights.
People who think or believe that any of the Clintons (incl. Chelsea) is toast, have not read history or were born post-1980, subject to leftist revisionist history. From her Watergate days, Hillary has been obsessed with power; can´t blame her, the way she looked even in college. She has to make up for the lack. Even in the face of mounting evidence of corruption and scandals during their Little Rock days (Rose Law Firm et al.) to the debacles in their White House years, the two of them have always skated, and will continue to skate because there are too many people invested in them. Plus, this culture feeds the cult of personality with celebrities and politicians (=money + power) so that a large portion of the population never looks past what they see in mainstream media outlets that cater to the left. No, she looks sick and he looks frail; how likely is it that they would be dragged through a trial, much less prison? They will eventually get what they deserve, but not on this side of the divide: too many forces at play on their behalf, too many bodies strewn along their path.
I do get the sense, that whenever he has to sit there and listen to her yapping to an audience..that he would like to get out the duct tape...I am sure he is basically nervous about what she is going to say next..that could be a disaster for him..or them..mostly him!!!
About 10 years ago, at the after-party for a wine auction in New Orleans, a woman in her 20s walked up to Mario Batali to introduce herself. As a chef, she was excited to meet one of the most revered figures in the restaurant industry. When they started talking, she recalls, she realized that he’d been drinking and he became what she characterized as “creepy” — “just giving me this provocative, icky feeling.” Minutes into their conversation, she recalls, he told her, “Come work for me, I’ll pay you double what you’re making.” Moments later, someone bumped her glass, spilling wine
Have you noticed that if you fail to do, think, and vote exactly the way that the liberals and their Fredocon minions demand, you’re a racist, sexist, homophobic, child molesting, greedy, NRA terrorist determined to murder kids? Yeah, you probably have. And you’ve probably also realized that if you do everything that the liberals and their Never Trump minions demand, you’re still a racist, sexist, homophobic, child molesting, greedy, NRA terrorist determined to murder kids. When you understand that, you’re on your way to being conservative woke. And when you’re conservative woke, you’re ready to deploy the most powerful non-bullet
ABOARD A MILITARY AIRCRAFT — With the State Department in upheaval, and the president focused on "America First" domestic concerns, what diplomacy and foreign policy the White House is successfully exercising have fallen more and more to one man, retired Marine Gen. James Mattis. During a just concluded tour of Pakistan, Egypt, Kuwait, and Jordan, the Defense secretary sounded much more like the country´s chief diplomat than its top soldier. When talking to reporters during his trip, he stressed that U.S. foreign policy is not "myopically military only." He repeatedly used phrases like "rebuilding trust," "de-escalating tensions," "continued dialogue," "objectives of reconciliation,"
If Alabama voters choose Republican Roy Moore for the U.S. Senate in Tuesday’s special election, it won’t be the first time in the modern era that voters have sent to Congress a man dogged by a teen sex scandal. Massachusetts voters stood by Democratic Rep. Gerry Studds even after he was censured by the House in 1983 for his sexual relationship at age 36 with a 17-year-old male congressional page, as well as making sexual advances toward two other teenage pages. Far from dooming the Democratic Party, the episode barely registered at the ballot box. Democrats kept their House majority and gained
The sexual harassment hysteria that shifted with such convenient alacrity from the entertainment industry and the news media to Capitol Hill has nothing to do with protecting women, “rape culture,” or radical feminism. It isn’t even about destroying President Trump, though his downfall is ever a consummation devoutly to be wished by the left. #MeToo, in its partisan permutation, is instead a movement cynically co-opted by Democrats desperately seeking an issue — any issue — that will save them from disaster in next year’s midterms. Its only goal is to save “the party of Jefferson and Jackson” from annihilation in
If someone had asked me back in the day, if, in 2017, we’d be having a discussion about whether a fundamentalist baker should be forced by the law to create a wedding cake for a gay couple, I’d have been gobsmacked, as the Brits say. Smacked in the gob because only a decade ago such a question would have seemed so remotely hypothetical as to be absurd. And yet, here we are. A Christian baker has taken a stand on the grounds of religious conscience and artistic freedom not to provide a cake specifically designed for a legal, constitutional same-sex
If Tuesday’s oral argument is any indication, the year-long anticipation for the Masterpiece Cakeshop Supreme Court showdown will result in a narrow opinion that provides little clarity in the continuing conflict between culture and religious liberty. By now the basics are well-known: When a homosexual couple asked Jack Phillips, the owner of the Colorado-based Masterpiece Cakeshop, to design a wedding cake for them, Phillips informed the pair that he could not, in conscience, create a cake to celebrate a same-sex marriage. The men filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Division, claiming Masterpiece Cakeshop “discriminated against them in a place
Al Franken’s resignation speech on Thursday seemed less heartfelt than grudging. He cast it not as an act of atonement — he continues to deny the charges largely and acknowledged through his stifled rage that his previous quasi-apologies had hastened his demise — but a reluctant act of gallantry. He was submitting docilely to the “broader conversation” on sexual harassment, he said, while signaling that his replacement, to whom he referred as “her,” would be a female pol embodying that conversation. The speech followed the usual pattern of lying pols: I didn’t do it, I’m only quitting because I am a
It´s been ten months since Washington learned that former British spy Christopher Steele, author of the so-called "Trump dossier," took the Hillary Clinton-funded opposition research document to the FBI, which considered sponsoring the anti-Trump work at the height of the 2016 presidential campaign. Now, congressional investigators have made what is perhaps an even more consequential discovery: Knowledge of the dossier project, during the campaign, extended into the highest levels of the Obama Justice Department. The department´s Bruce Ohr, a career official, served as associate deputy attorney general at the time of the campaign. That placed him just below the deputy attorney
We are in the midst of a revolution. From allegations against studio heads and journalists, to hotel maids recounting abuses on the job, women are exposing the truth and men are losing their jobs. But the revolution has been selective. I have long maintained that when I was 7 years old, Woody Allen led me into an attic, away from the babysitters who had been instructed never to leave me alone with him. He then sexually assaulted me. I told the truth to the authorities then, and I have been telling it, unaltered, for more than 20 years. Why is it
The French ambassador to the United States used Pearl Harbor Day as an occasion to bash America’s position on World War II in the 1930s. “In this Pearl Harbor day, we should remember that the US refused to side with France and UK to confront fascist powers in the 30s,” Gérard Araud wrote Thursday night in a now-deleted tweet. The military attack on a US naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on Dec. 7 1941 signaled the entrance of America’s into the war. The French ambassador quickly deleted the misguided tweet — but continued to defend the sentiment in subsequent
Firefighters across Southern California are battling six major wildfires, and brutal Santa Ana winds are expected to continue fanning the flames through Saturday. California´s Department of Forest and Fire Protection tweeted Thursday afternoon that the new fires, the Lilac fire in San Diego County and the Liberty fire in Riverside County, are now being fueled by continued Santa Ana winds and low humidity. Winds are expected to die down some on Friday, before picking up again in intensity on Saturday. The weather is not cooperating with the hundreds of officials trying to contain the flames in the region. Red flag
MONTGOMERY, Alabama — Frank Luntz, a GOP establishment messaging consultant, was visibly flabbergasted as every single one of his focus group participants in a Birmingham area Vice News-produced panel backed Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate. Titled “Why These Alabama Voters Are Sticking By Roy Moore,” Luntz’s Vice News focus group aired on Vice News Tonight on Dec. 8 on HBO. “Are you all Christians here?” Luntz opens the seven-and-a-half-minute long segment. “Yes,” all of the focus group participants, who joined Luntz in a Birmingham area restaurant, replied. “Is Roy Moore a good Christian?” he followed up. “Yes,” one woman replied. “Absolutely,” another said. “Absolutely?”
California´s governor has said that deadly wildfires in the winter will be ´the new normal´, as fire crews rushed to contain the fires, with dry desert winds expected to intensify over the weekend. Governor Jerry Brown on Saturday toured Ventura County neighborhoods ravaged by a weeklong wildfire that killed at least one person and destroyed hundreds of homes and other buildings. At a news conference, the Democrat said drought and climate change mean California faces a ´new reality´ where lives and property are continually threatened by fire, at a cost of billions of dollars. He added that gusty winds and
An award-winning U.S. diplomat who was seen as a rising star at the State Department has issued a scathing resignation letter, accusing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and the Donald Trump administration of undercutting the State Department and damaging America’s influence in the world. Elizabeth Shackelford, who most recently served as a political officer based in Nairobi for the U.S. mission to Somalia, wrote to Tillerson that she reluctantly had decided to quit because the administration had abandoned human rights as a priority and shown disdain for the State Department’s diplomatic work,
There are times in life when the institutional ground underneath you begins to crumble — and with it, longstanding attachments. Such is the case for me when it comes to the Republican Party and evangelicalism. I’ve been a part of both for my entire adult life. These days, though, in many important ways they are having harmful effects on our society. The latest example is in Alabama, where Roy Moore, the Republican Senate candidate, stands accused of varying degrees of sexual misconduct by nine women, including one who was 14 years old at the time. Mr. Moore leads in most
The NFL protests have been lucrative for social justice charities — they´ll receive a whopping $89 million in "settlement" money, redirected from veterans and breast cancer charity funds — but they´re also becoming a boon for cash-strapped football fans. It turns out, if you can still stomach a professional football game, you can now get tickets for about the same price as a couple of Starbucks lattes. According to Vivid Seats, an NFL ticket reselling site, seat prices at most NFL stadiums have bottomed out, leaving fans able to snag a lower level seat for a Buffalo Bills game for
Sen. Richard Shelby says he wants a Republican elected to the Senate on Tuesday to represent Alabama, but that he didn’t vote for GOP candidate Roy Moore in the special election. The Alabama Republican said he’s already cast his ballot, and that he chose a write-in candidate. “I’d rather see the Republican win, but I’d rather see a Republican write-in. I couldn’t vote for Roy Moore. I didn’t vote for Roy Moore,” Shelby told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.” Moore has been accused of pursuing sexual relationships with teenagers when he was in his 30s. In some
In 1990, when liberal journalists still had some sense of obligation to the truth, Michael Kelly wrote the following for GQ: As [Carla] Gaviglio enters the room, the six-foot-two, 225-plus-pound [Sen. Ted] Kennedy grabs the five-foot-three, 103-pound waitress and throws her on the table. She lands on her back, scattering crystal, plates and cutlery and the lit candles. Several glasses and a crystal candlestick are broken. Kennedy then picks her up from the table and throws her on [Sen. Chris] Dodd, who is sprawled in a chair. (snip) Here is what McCaskill had to say about Kennedy´s behavior upon his death
Short of impeaching President Trump, does anything excite Democrats, the Resistance, and NeverTrumpers like the prospect of the president firing special counsel Robert Mueller? Firing Mueller would, or course, be the quickest way for Trump to get impeached, which might explain a certain air of anticipation in discussions of whether — some prefer to say when -- Trump will sack the prosecutor leading the Trump-Russia investigation. There has been a lot of news and commentary recently interpreting criticism of Mueller by a number of pro-Trump media voices as an effort to encourage Trump to fire Mueller, or lay the groundwork for
A heartbreaking video of a young boy pleading to be left alone by bullies has gone viral and celebrities are offering him their support.Keaton Jones, of Knoxville, Tennessee, asked his mother, Kimberly Jones, a question that so many people would like the answer too. ´Just out of curiosity, why do they bully? What´s the point of it? Why do you find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to them,´ Keaton asked his mother through tears. ´It´s not okay,´ he said. (Video/Photos) His mother then asked: ´What did they say to you?´ ´They make fun
The rules of interaction between women and men in the workplace have been changed with a suddenness that inevitably produces unforeseen negative consequences, no matter how positive and necessary the switch might be. (snip) With the stakes so high, given the presumption of female veracity and male culpability anytime an objection is raised, men are, frankly, terrified. Get used to it, ladies. That is the other side of the coin of the new normal. The old norms that men (often cluelessly) incorporated into their behavior now have been discarded, but we have no clear understanding of what should replace them. By
A suspect is in custody following an explosion at one of New York City’s busiest transit hubs in Times Square during Monday morning’s rush hour, police said. The bombing suspect was identified as Akayed Ullah, 27, according to New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill. Ullah had an explosive device strapped to his body, O’Neill said. What do we know about the suspect? Law enforcement sources told Fox News Ullah lives in Brooklyn. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said the explosion was an “attempted terrorist attack.” Sources told the Associated Press that Ullah may be of Bangladeshi descent. What else do we know about the
Loose dentures? More like loose screws. Donald Trump was slurring his words pretty good last week for a guy who fancied himself an expert when it came to Hillary Clinton’s alleged brain damage. What would he make of his own slurred speech and bizarre behavior? brain tumor from the weight of that massive combover sitting on top of his head like a live farm animal? Simply slurred speech because his thoughts are so fantastic that his mouth can’t keep up?
