Jeff Flake Caught on Live Mic Saying
GOP Is ‘Toast’ Under Leadership

Mark Osborne writes at ABC News that Republican Senator Jeff Flake was caught on a hot mic criticizing President Donald Trump and Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore: Sen. Jeff Flake, a frequent sparring partner of President Donald Trump, continues to make enemies in his own party after calling the GOP “toast” while unaware he was still on a live mic. Flake, R-Ariz., was at a tax reform event in Mesa, Arizona on Friday night when he was caught bashing the president in a conversation with friend, Mesa Mayor John Giles. “If we become the party of Roy Moore and Donald

Flake is, of course, exactly correct. The old Democrat party was largely composed of xenophobes, protectionists, and populists. It has gone completely nuts leaving a vacuum filled by Bannonism.
Conservatives need not apply.
There is hope. Once Trump assesses (if he assesses) Bannon´s disaster in Alabama, he might see that the better course is to listen to the Cruzes, Rubios and Sasses and follow a truly conservative course.
McCain is not one to listen to, but Flake was much closer to the Goldwater/Buckley model that gave the GOP something to stand for.

Trump did not support Moore, he supported Strange, but the people of Alabama elected Moore in the primary. If the people of Alabama elect Moore to the Senate, he will be only one of 100 Senators, and yet most likely no worst then the oldtime Southern Democrat Senators.

The truth? The country is toast if Flake and his ilk aren´t rooted out.

Just want to remind Bannon and company that if you have Purge Night on Republicans, and leave the Democrats alone, you get Democrats running everything and hamstringing Trump. The only course of business the Democrats will take up is how best to frame Trump.

The truth is they don´t provide much alternative to the Democrats. Both are for globalization, and don´t care how many jobs we lose. Both are only answerable to big-money special interests, and leave the tax payer holding the bill. Both parties spend money they do not have. Both parties are slowly eroding our freedoms.

The most effective way for the media to have refuted Donald Trump’s 24/7 accusations of “fake news” would have been to publish disinterested, factually based accounts of his presidency. The Trump record should have been set straight through logic and evidence. So one would think after a year of disseminating fake news aimed at Donald Trump (Melania Trump was leaving the White House; Donald Trump had removed the bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the West Wing; Trump planned to send troops into Mexico, etc.) that Washington and New York journalists would be especially scrupulous in their reporting to avoid

Several women who have accused US President Donald Trump of sexual assault and harassment were expected Monday to call on Congress to open an investigation. A press conference by the women will be hosted by Brave New Films, a media company that recently produced a clip detailing sexual harassment or assault claims by 16 women against Trump. A press release from Brave New Films on Sunday said the women would relate their accounts of Trump’s alleged “groping, fondling, forcibly kissing, humiliating, and harassing women.” The White House has dismissed all of the accusations as lies. Naturally, a large number of players also continued their anti-American protests during the playing of the national anthem as Week 14 rolled into stadiums everywhere. And as a result, ticket prices are plummeting. The league is having such a tough time finding fans to fill seats that some tickets are selling for the unheard of price of three dollars a seat, Breitbart Sports reported on Sunday.
