Al Franken was the Air America talk show host
who was going to dethrone Rush Limbaugh
when he sexually assaulted Leann Tweeden

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

It is worth noting that when he went overseas as a USO performer accompanied by Leann Tweeden in December 2006, Al Franken was not professionally identified as a “comedian” – as virtually every current media account has branded him. He was preparing for a run for political office by conducting the flagship program for Air America, the vanguard of the Left’s plan to deprive conservatives of their talk radio dominance. Am I the only person who remembers what a huge and embarrassing fiasco that was? It is not surprising that the mainstream media have consigned it to the memory hole,

I remember listening to AA year ago where Franken and some other lefties were going through a book written by a conservative. They would go from page to page and find something and they would all laugh and mock. It was so juvenile and catty. not intellectual at all.

OP, you aren´t the only one who remembers...

On a vacation in which we drove from St. Louis to Florida, I planned ahead ahead by finding the radio stations on our route that carried Rush´s program.

Driving through one "dead space", I surfed the dial and came across Franken´s program. We listened as long as we could tolerate it and were astounded that anything so dumb and low-minded made it to the air. That Franken´s intention was "to dethrone Rush Limbaugh" is the funniest thing I´ve heard lately.

Liberal talk radio FAILED because when most people listen to the radio they are driving to WORK, returning from WORK, or at WORK.

Their target audience is on the couch, watching TV, and eating Ding-Dongs purchased with food stamps.

Air America, like most of the Left´s ideology, was a misrepresentation. It called itself a network, but it was never that. Air America, in operation, booked time on regular radio stations for its programming. In that respect, it was a radio equivalent of those half-hour home-shopping-type programs on the air late in the night. Remember the Sham-Wow guy? That was Al Franken. Air America was all bluster and it crashed, like like liberal policies.

Been shopping for an ´After-Market´ up-grade radio for my old truck. Most of the new offerings have NO AM RADIO option.

MP3, Bluuetooth, XM on and on but no AM.

Funny, how that is.

Liberal talk radio failed because the market is already saturated. If you want the liberal point of view, all you need do is buy any typical "news"paper or tune in to any of the "news" shows on the major networks. They´re all the same.

Years ago, my daughter Samantha and I were home in the afternoon (she was off school, second grade, and I was home with her) when there was a loud knock on the front door. When I answered, I discovered that there were about a hundred cops, including SWAT (tactical truck and all) at my door and in my front yard. They did not look very happy. "Yes? Can I help you?" I asked, as I got about a hundred hard stares from our new guests. "Daddy, how many cops are out there?" Sam asked. "All of them, I think..." "Sir, there was a bank

Those “experts” who long have warned of “violent chaos” if the US moves its embassy to Jerusalem have been exposed as a bunch of hysterical ninnies at best, in the Age of Trump. In Gaza, where even more violent, radical, and fearsome Hamas presumably urged rioters on turnout more than doubled Gaza as a percentage: a massive two and half tenths of one percent of the population turned out. Something very strange, and possibly extremely significant, happened yesterday, with no explanation and little notice from the media. But two different writers for the same DC-insider publication rushed to be the first to note this barely-noticed move, suggesting that they know something big is happening.
