Praying for a Sessions Write-In

Was a 14-year-old girl molested by Alabama Senate Republican candidate Roy Moore, or is she lying? It’s a yes-or-no question. Was a 16-year-old girl sexually assaulted by Moore, or is she lying? Again, it’s a yes-or-no question. Finally, do you believe that there are conditions under which a child molester should sit in the United States Senate? Again, this question is binary. Yet many conservatives seem to be seeking a third answer to all three of these questions, mostly to avoid giving straight answers. Let’s begin with the first question: Did Roy Moore molest a 14-year-old girl?

Comments:
Ben makes a good case for rejecting Moore.

What a dopey flawed premise. FTA: ´Was a 14-year-old girl molested by Alabama Senate Republican candidate Roy Moore, or is she lying? It’s a yes-or-no question. Was a 16-year-old girl sexually assaulted by Moore, or is she lying? Again, it’s a yes-or-no question.´ The only possible answer (of yes or no) is YES. Yes, as in he did OR she is lying. Logically, one or the other can be true; both cannot be false.

Just for the heck of it look up how old Prisciall Presley was when Elvis first started messing with her.I believe Moore´s accusers but I also believe it was at least somewhat acceptable at the time.I think Chuck Berry can be thrown in this pile also. It´s possible mothers at he time wanted their daughters to be married to settled men or at least have a decent income stream. This isn´t my day to play God,so i won´t make any judgements on this but there´s always other things to consider.

Write-ins are very rarely successful. If Moore is elected, it would be disastrous for the Senate GOP to expel him. If he´s defeated, we lose what should have been (and would have been with Mo Brooks) a sure victory. And, if Moore is elected and doesn´t get expelled, I guarantee he will be a roadblock to everything. Everything.

Ben, by lumping the consenting adults into the alleged 14 year old incident you´ve weakened your argument. Taking out the consenting adults (16 years old is the age of consent in Alabama) make your argument with the remaining accuser. You should take in consideration his public character and her character over that time. Add onto that the timing of the charges (statue of limitations expired; election oncoming) and define to me what standard of sexual assault you are using. The democrat version or some other standard. Next explain to me why other officials who have been elected should not be removed because they have past dalliances/sins, McCain for example. Then once we have eliminated everyone since we are all sinners, explain to me how we save unborn babies, free our liberties and shrink the size of the jack boot of government. Also using your argument we have to eliminate our form of government, throw away the constitution because it was founded and crafted by Men who owned slaves, et al. Ben I love many of the things you say but get off your high horse and put your shoulder to the task of restoring our liberties. Roy Moore will work for that in the Senate, the democrat will not.

What’s the difference between these accusations and accusations and the accusations against Weinstein, Spacey, et. al.? First, these accusations are 30-40 years old. Second, Moore didn’t threaten or even have the power to threaten their careers, like the Hollyweird crowd did.

For these 2 reasons and the fact that WaPo came out with this just before the election make the accusations not credible.

Hey, let´s admit something, Ben Shapiro, of the steely glare.

The report of Moore raping a teen girl only came out yesterday because the report of the week before of him "almost raping" a teen girl,. . . didn´t work.

If the report of the rape doesn´t work, next week, it will be a report, that he almost MURDERED a teen girl. And if that fails, the following week, Moore will have almost strangled a priest simultaneously.

Just wait.

Do not believe anything that the media publishes, always double check and verify. Liberals are so gullible, conservatives need to be more discerning.

Too much out-of-state money has been flowing into Alabama to fight the election of Roy Moore to make any of the allegations against him credible. If a paper trail could be constructed it would lead to Obama, Clinton, the DNC, the GOPe, George Soros or all of the above. People like McCain and McConnell jumped into this fray much too early for it to be a random act, it was orchestrated. This is the same way they are attacking Trump and this is a method that often works.

Sessions is not the answer to any question.

Huey Long (a Democrat) used to say that the only things that would get him in political trouble was to be found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.

Today, those would get you either the posthumous title of "Lion of the Senate" or the Chairman of a House Committee. Of course, you´d have to be a Democrat, too.

Don´t try this at home if you´re Republican.

Accusation without any evidence, 40 years later is instantly credible? Only in a world where folks hang around too many honest people their whole lives.

People DO lie. Some are quite good at it (BillyJeff, for example).

Believe that people will and do tell bald faced, pure, created from thin air lies for political and financial gain.

I am not sure how many Repubs are just Swamp Creatures and how many are just fools who don´t recognize liars well. Either way, ignore them, keep the eye on the prize.

When Maximo Garcia heard that he was on a list of local drug suspects in Mayombo, he tried to clear his name with the police chief, explaining that he no longer used drugs and had never sold them. Four days later, the Philippine news site Rappler reports, a masked gunman shot up Garcia´s house as he and his family were eating lunch, wounding him and killing his 5-year-old granddaughter. So it goes in Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte´s war on drugs, which has claimed somewhere between 7,000 and 13,000 lives since he took office in June 2016. Although Duterte´s bloody crusade

A bipartisan group of senators wants to defund Attorney General Jeff Sessions´ expansion of the Justice Department´s civil asset forfeiture program, following similar efforts by libertarian-leaning and progressive members of the House earlier this year. Sessions announced in July that he was scrapping a 2015 directive by former Attorney General Eric Holder that severely curtailed when federal authorities could "adopt" asset forfeiture cases from local and state authorities. Such adoptions, civil rights group said, allowed local police to skirt stricter state forfeiture laws by taking their cases to federal court.

As America debates how to handle terrorist attacks like the one in New York City yesterday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI are busy helping small-town police arrest people for prostitution and marijuana. In Louisiana this week, the FBI helped arrest—and publicly ridicule—57 men who responded to fake (adult) prostitution ads. House Republicans unveil their tax-cut package Thursday, which means the spot price for liberal shibboleths like "giveaway to the rich" and "hypocrisy on the deficit" is about to hit the roof. Which is only fair. Conservatives don´t exactly trip over themselves to embrace Democratic policies, either. The package will include lots of numbers. That will give critics plenty of ammunition with which to explain why this particular set of tax proposals does not deserve to pass. And maybe it doesn´t! The trouble is that such arguments raise a question: What set of tax cuts would liberals consider worthy of passing?

This idea has ancient roots, but it was always and everywhere a minority opinion, unpopular with both the masses and the rulers, until relatively recently. In the “modern” era, its status as one of the defining ideas of Western civilization can be traced to the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648. Brooklyn College is kowtowing to cop-hating students by directing officers who need a bathroom break to the broken-down facilities in a building on the far edge of campus. Amid a planned petition drive to ban cops from the taxpayer-funded campus, Donald Wenz, the school’s director of public safety, told the student newspaper The Excelsior that he’s trying to keep New York’s Finest out of sight. While Wenz said all of the school’s restrooms were technically open to cops, the college prefers they stick to those in the isolated West End Building, “rather than walking across either quad to use the

WASHINGTON — Maine Sen. Susan Collins went further Sunday than most of her Republican colleagues in expressing worry about the sexual assault allegations against President Donald Trump, saying they were one of the reasons she did not vote for him.“Those allegations remain very disturbing,” Collins said in an interview on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” She added that she did not support Trump in the 2016 campaign in part because of news reports about women accusing him of unwanted touching or kissing.

In the longstanding liberal narrative about Bill Clinton and his scandals, the one pushed by Clinton courtiers and ratified in media coverage of his post-presidency, our 42nd president was only guilty of being a horndog, his affairs were nobody’s business but his family’s, and oral sex with Monica Lewinsky was a small thing that should never have put his presidency in peril. That narrative could not survive the current wave of outrage over male sexual misconduct. So now a new one may be forming for the age of Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump. In this story, Kenneth Starr and the

A spokesperson for Sen. Al Franken, a Democrat from Minnesota, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that ´no´ the embattled senator would not resign. ´He is spending time with his family in Washington, D.C., and will be through the Thanksgiving holiday,´ the aide told the newspaper. ´And he´s doing a lot of reflecting.´ On Thursday, Franken became the latest high-profile man whose career is now in jeopardy over bad behavior with a woman. Radio host Leeann Tweeden said in 2006, when performing alongside Franken at a traveling USO tour, the then-comedian grabbed her breasts without her permission when Tweeden was sleeping and kissed

Washington - President Donald Trump says he should have left three UCLA basketball players accused of shoplifting in China in jail. (Snip) Says Trump: "Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!" Trump later tweeted: "Shoplifting is a very big deal in China, as it should be (5-10 years in jail), but not to father LaVar. Should have gotten his son out during my next trip to China instead. China told them why they were released. Very ungrateful!"
