The GOP is in a civil war, and Mitch
McConnell is making it worse

Washington Examiner, by James Wallner

The Republican Party is in the middle of a civil war. And instead of trying to resolve it, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is making it worse. According to a recent report, the Senate majority leader has decided to escalate his feud with Steve Bannon, the former adviser to President Trump and current Breitbart News executive chairman. McConnell’s allies cite the decision as evidence of his toughness. But it illustrates instead the limits of his leadership. While long considered a canny operator, the reality is that McConnell has been unsuccessful in leading Senate Republicans in the current environment. And the decision

McConnell and his eunuchs may want to plan on eventually reporting to Gen. Ulysses S. Trump at Appomattox Courthouse.

Sooner rather than later. Avoid the bloodshed.

McConnell is one of the biggest sneaks in the Senate. He never makes any definitive statements so its hard to tell where he stands on any issue. That´s SOP for RINO Republicans.

Yes, it is a civil war within the GOP and in the country at large. There will be a winning side or there will be two countries some day. Probably both.

I would like to know why he saw fit to pick on Christine O´Donnell recently (when he appeared with President Trump) - President Trump is more concerned about getting things accomplished while McConnell seemed more concerned about challengers to incumbents.

Christine O´Donnell was just one of a group of challengers McConnell mentioned but it seemed like a point of pride that Ms. O´Donnell and others were defeated in challenging incumbents - that they were a cautionary tale to others who might presume to challenge the status quo -

all that while standing right next to the biggest and most successful challenger to the status quo, Donald J. Trump!

Beyond all the carping and complaining, maybe a serious look into what exactly has been making so many Republicans behave the way they do (shoeshiners to the Democrats) is in order. It can hardly be only K Street influence, and it can hardly only be fear of Enemedia name-calling. In other words, are GOPers being blackmailed? Are they or their families being threatened? Are they being paid (in secret currencies) to act as turncoats, and if so how much and by whom?

How has Organized Crime(D) managed to control these men?

McConnell is the LEADER, or more accurately stated, the spokesman of the bi-partisan Elite controlling our Country!

He has ´skillfully´, created a logjam that has prevented most of the Administration´s efforts from even seeing a vote. How many bills has the House sent to the Senate. (Not that Ryan is any better, but he has no choice in the House but to move the agenda)

They BOTH need to go. And I am screaming intentionally. The situation warrants that!

McConnell is working for McConnell and trying to protect his power. He is doing so to the detriment of the country and the Repub Party, but he could care less as long as he can maintain his position as head of the Repub senators. He is another pathetic GOPe swamp creature and a perfect example of the need for term limits.
