Woman accuses Roy Moore
of trying to rape her when
she was a teenager

CNBC, by Christina Wilkie

A woman on Monday alleged that Roy Moore, the Republican nominee for Senate in Alabama sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Beverly Young Nelson said Moore groped her and tried to force her to perform oral sex when she was 16 and she worked at a restaurant that Moore frequented. In a statement, Nelson said that Moore attacked her in his car after offering her a ride home. According to Nelson, instead of driving her home, Moore parked in a lot behind the restaurant. "Mr. Moore began groping me, putting his hands on my breasts. I tried fighting him off, while yelling

Comments:
This is really, really bad. It´s getting more difficult to think the allegations are untrue. I don´t know of any woman who would graphically describe all those things if it had not happened. This is very disturbing. How in the world were all these alleged incidents kept quiet during all the years he was a politicians, judge, etc. Losing that seat will be devastating for Republicans.

I dunno, her “lawyer” is Gloria Allred, and this whole puece doesn’t mention what year this allegedly took place. I am not inclined to believe that this happened. Not because I’m invested in the guy, but really, not a peep about anything untoward in all this guy’s career?

That´s the plan KarenJ1: They will continue to beat the drums up to election day in order to make it harder and harder to believe Judge Moore is innocent . . . Although there´s already plenty of indications that this is a manufactured setup.

Help him get elected, then figure out if he is guilty of what these women are accusing him of. I doubt he is. Why wouldn´t they have come forward years ago when he ran for the Judgeship? Why can´t he be replaced down the road if it´s proven he is guilty of these things? Let the Republican Governor appoint someone to have that Seat until the next election. DO NOT hand this Seat to the Democrats!

How can any of this be taken seriously? The call girl in North Carolina accuse the whole North Carolina State Lacrosse team of similar improprieties.

She then was found out to have lied, but after the damage and slander to the team members had been done.

The women in Alabama is not supported by her mother, which calls her claims into questions. She also said a reporter offered her $1,000 to make these claims.

The time line can not support either claim, impossible to prove. Impossible to prove is the Democrats operating MO. I would also believe that McConnell, and the rest of those RINOS are up to their neck in this charade.

The accusations do not pass the smell test.

I for one grow tired of this constant crap coming from DC. Its time to ignore them and vote every last one of them out of office asap.

Just watched the press conference with the latest accuser and G. Allred. This woman seems as believable to me as Juanita Broderick. She has the yearbook that Moore signed, her story is credible. She can describe his car, and the shoes he wore Allred is calling for him to give a statement under oath.

This looks really, really bad for him.

That doesn´t mean it´s true. I´m just saying that she sounds like a credible witness. She and her husband voted for Trump. She was a beautiful young girl who had a boyfriend and boyfriend at the time but says she was not interested in a man of Moore´s age.

If her allegations are true, Moore has put the AL Republicans in a bad place. Same for the President. Also if this is true, it´s a good thing Trump didn´t endorse him in the primary.

It´s very hurtful when someone we trust as a Conservative is shown to be a liar. And knowing that Clinton, Kennedy etc. got by with much worse and are still getting a pass from the Left.

Sad, sad stuff. Whether true or not.

How come these women are to be believed but not the women Slick Willie molested and worse? So all I have to do is tell a good story against someone I would like to destroy and that´s that? Because of the timing and because Gloria Allred is involved I am inclined to believe this is all a pack of lies. This is a suddenly revealed, decades old "she said, he said" with no compelling evidence to back up the "she said". Did she tell no one about it, a friend?, a parent?, a relative?, at the time or in the succeeding forty years? So far as we know - no. OP is living on a different planet if he/she believes women will not make up stories about men that are not true.

I keep coming back to the fact that a 32 year old single man was "dating" high school girls, one as young as 14. Does this pass the credibility test with any readers? I´m sorry there is a preponderance of support for this man in conservative circles but it seems perfectly clear to me that 5 women coming forth right now is a pretty clear indication that something was not all right with this fellow back then.

It may be sleazy, but it´s not illegal for a 32 year old man to date an 18 year old woman. So if we really want to play that game... Senator John McCain graduated from the Naval Academy before his second wife started kindergarten. And who can forget Senator Harris Wofford, who last year, at age 90, married his boyfriend Matthew Charlton, age 40.

I don´t know what to believe. But I do know for a fact that the US Senate is chock full of creepy old men on both sides of the aisle. It has been my experience that Alabamians generally get it right. And when they don´t, they fix it. Usually swiftly and with a vengeance. So let them decide.

The first 4 liars have been shown to be very doubtful, so the left, always creative, found another crazy person willing to say anything, particularly for promises of reward from some Soros proxy. Groping seemed inadequate, and did not work, especially with GOPe´s H W Bush having popularized it, so the left has now upped the ante with rape, still long ago, and unproveable, yea or nay, but it´s a serious allegation, all the left has got, and the only chance the left has of winning this election.

Sorry for second post, but #22 is behind on the info leaking out around the edges - Note that Moore doesn´t remember her, and her mom says her daughter didn´t have her own telephone.

It´s frustrating seeing so many supposedly conscious people falling for the fake news attacks. This is why our Republic is in the shape it is in - too many gullible people believe whatever the propaganda media tells them about conservatives. Even after they´ve been caught repeatedly lying about their political opponents, the conservatives.

And for those of you virtue signaling about More asking 18-19 y.o.s out. Nowhere have I read that he forced them to accept. Where were you when Seinfeld was getting the phone number of a 17 y.o. H.S. student when he was 38 in 1993? Lasted for 4 years. Didn´t hear this sort of caterwauling about age differences then, though Seinfeld was teased by Howard Stern. And I suspect, but don´t know, that the Seinfeld romance was a lot more physical than Roy Moore´s, given the 90´s culture and participants.

#23 Best line of the day.

Here´s what initially went through my mind when this story broke.
Judge Roy Moore has a boyish look about him and I wouldn´t be surprised when he was 30 years old he looked twenty something and the girls liked him...even his wife who is 14 years his junior.
Also, I´ve noticed that most of the accusations went something like this..HE
TRIED TO do this or that. Trying is a subjective statement not based on fact but on possible thinking or feelings. What did he actually do Miss Jones? Will you testify to that in court?
Oh by the way, no need to worry because your statement will never get to court.

Rape is a strong accusation. I would think it would be easy for a grown man to overpower a 16 year old girl if he really wanted to rape her.
She says she wants to testify, but does she want to be cross-examined? Who took her home after this occurrence? Why didn´t she mention it to whoever that was? Did she get treatment for her alleged bruises? And so many other questions.

OP: I don´t know of any woman who would graphically describe all those things if it had not happened.

I´m not saying that something never happened. But it is very easy for a woman to recall, graphically, events that did happen but with a different man than the one she named. The emotion is there, if she just remembers to use the "right" name.

I had a married cousin who was with a mixed group, and he was driving several people home. When two people (a girl and her boyfriend) were left, it so happened that the man was dropped off and it was only my cousin and the girl left in the car. When they drove past a police car, she started yelling rape. My cousin was arrested and convicted...and her baby was born 9 weeks "premature" at 8 pounds.

She told a real sob story. And by the time she gave birth, most of the town had forgotten when the "rape" had occurred.

It is still very interesting to me that Trump went out of his way to support the other Republican contender, when the whole GOP was for Moore. Now they are against Moore. Maybe Trump knew this was coming and thought the other guy had a better chance. Or maybe he went out of his way because, by supporting the other guy (I can´t even remember his name now and it doesn´t matter), it insulated him from being smeared along with Moore.

Immigrants entering the United States illegally through the southern border are quietly being relocated to different parts of the country on commercial flights, high-ranking Homeland Security officials told Judicial Watch this week. In the last few days alone, groups of illegal aliens boarded planes at airports in Texas and Arizona accompanied by a taxpayer-funded government escort in civilian clothes to avoid drawing attention. The first flight originated at Valley International Airport in Harlingen, Texas and was bound for Minneapolis. The National Security Agency destroyed surveillance data it pledged to preserve in connection with pending lawsuits and apparently never took some of the steps it told a federal court it had taken to make sure the information wasn’t destroyed, according to recent court filings. Word of the NSA’s foul-up is emerging just as Congress has extended for six years the legal authority the agency uses for much of its surveillance work conducted through U.S. internet providers and tech firms. President Donald Trump signed that measure into law Friday. Since 2007, the NSA has been under court orders to preserve data

More than 130 congressional members have viewed the classified four-page memo detailing what senior government officials describe as “disturbing and explosive” surveillance abuse by employees of the FBI and Department of Justice under the Obama administration against President Trump and members of his campaign. But almost all of them were Republicans. Since the document was released Thursday to House members “only Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee have seen it,” a congressional source with knowledge of the memo said. (Snip) Congressional officials expect the classified memo to be made available to the public before the end of the month. In order to

Jeff Zucker, the former head of NBCUniversal and current leader of Time Warner’s CNN, has emerged as a surprise candidate to lead Walt Disney’s ESPN. Rumors began circulating this week in media circles that the TV executive who first rose to greater renown by boosting the fortunes of NBC’s “Today” show could be in consideration to replace John Skipper at Disney’s massive sports-media juggernaut. Skipper left ESPN late last year, citing a substance-addiction problem. An ESPN spokesman declined to comment, and spokespersons for CNN, Time Warner and its Turner cable-TV unit did not respond to queries seeking comment. Disney CEO Robert Iger

NEW YORK — Motorists would have to shell out $11.52 to drive into the busiest parts of Manhattan under a new proposal floated by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to ease traffic congestion and raise vital funds for mass transit. Trucks would pay even more — $25.34 — while taxi cabs, Uber rides and for-hire vehicles would be charged between $2 and $5 per ride. The pricing zone would cover Manhattan south of 60th Street. The idea, called “congestion pricing,” involves using electronic tolling to charge vehicles for entering certain parts of town during especially busy times. The proposal is expected to face stiff

Rene Boucher, Sen. Rand Paul’s neighbor, was charged with assaulting a member of Congress for tackling Paul to the ground after witnessing him stack brush onto a pile in November. The charge is a felony under federal law, and Boucher, 58, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana announced Friday. “Assaulting a member of Congress is an offense we take very seriously,” Josh Minkler, the U.S. attorney, said. Boucher allegedly tackled Paul, R-Ky., while he was mowing his lawn, wearing headphones. Boucher, a retired anesthesiologist, allegedly saw Paul

1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis ripped President Trump´s new tax law and offered optimism for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. Dukakis, a former governor of the Bay State during the so-called economic "Massachusetts Miracle," said Republicans have lost their way when it comes to supporting fiscal responsibility. He questioned why they would champion a tax plan that may have costly ramifications for the national deficit. It´s no secret that Mitt Romney is, in all likelihood, going to run for a Senate seat in Utah. What´s less clear, however, is why the man who was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and is now retired and occupying an elder-statesman role in a party torn into warring factions would want to serve as a junior senator. Once elected, Romney would find himself embroiled in day-to-day congressional fights and less free to voice his criticisms of the White House, while losing some of the deference he´s been shown by members of his own party. But listen to any number of Republicans and

Question: Do you think Donald Trump spends more time thinking about Hillary Clinton than Hillary Clinton spends thinking about Donald Trump? Sure does seem like it. The other day, President Trump was discussing Russia at a press conference with the prime minister of Norway, when he suddenly announced that Clinton “was not for a strong military and Hillary, my opponent, was for windmills, and she was for other types of energy that don’t have the same capacities at this moment certainly.” Yeah, it didn’t make any sense. Comic book readers are apparently not fans of progressive politics—a fact no more evident in Marvel’s decision to cancel every single one of its comics that has been nominated by the LGBTQ advocacy group, GLAAD. In December, the publisher announced its decision to cancel many of its comics, citing poor sales. LGBTQ, feminist, and social justice-themed comics involving stories that revolved around Black Lives Matter, illegal immigration, and LGBTQ issues were among those to end up on the chopping block.

It’s billions of dollars over budget and seven years behind schedule, and appears to have no plausible way of living up to its goal of getting riders across the state in three hours or less. Welcome to what’s arguably the nation’s largest infrastructure project and California’s biggest boondoggle. The highly hyped bullet train has been a challenge from the start. No one thought it would be technically, financially and politically easy, but the way the project has been mishandled has some Californians fed up and demanding answers.
