Big Bird Flies Again

On Nov. 7, Bill “Tale of Two Cities” de Blasio—a Marxist bird/man hybrid who enjoyed trips to the Soviet Union as a student, worked for Nicaragua’s brutal communist Sandinista regime, and illegally honeymooned in Cuba—won 66 percent of the vote in the president’s hometown, defeating Republican candidate Nicole Malliotakis (28 percent) and Independent candidate Bo Dietl (1 percent) to become the first Democratic mayor to be reelected for a second term in New York City since Ed Koch in 1985. In an alternate universe, little things like ignoring a top imam’s warnings not to disband the city’s post-9/11 religion-of-peace surveillance program

I think it has become this way because the very act of voting is now considered a bow to the establishment. And so, the malcontents and America-haters have a foot in the door to elect these miscreants. This is how they took over the school boards and got their greasy fingers into our children´s minds. We weren´t even paying attention. We are so easy, we Americans.

There are consequences to every action - some of them predictable. NY is gonna burn and probably have another go at bankruptcy before its all over. NY´ers seem to have a rather unique combination of stubborn and stupid. But I refuse to feel sorry for what is coming nor will I support bailouts or rebuilding with national tax dollars. Let visitors find somewhare else to go when Broadway goes dark.

If one only inferred the intelligence of the average New Yorker from watching watters world, it would match up pretty well with their actual political acumen. On a more basic level, what a bunch of boneheads.

BRENT, Ala. — Embattled Senate candidate Roy Moore is pinning his hopes for victory on Alabama’s long-held tradition of sharp defiance to perceived threats from forces outside the state. That rebellious spirit, which dates to long before the state’s segregationist Gov.?George Wallace became a national figure in the 1960s by railing against the “central government” in Washington, has been apparent in recent days as top state GOP officials have closed ranks around Moore amid a stream of allegations of sexual misconduct against the Republican and calls by national party leaders for him to step aside. Moore’s campaign has taken to repeating Alabama’s

In autumnal weather, one grows wistful . . . As a member of Generation X, I remember how difficult it was to scrounge up conservative tomes, publications and—above all prizing—broadcasts. Indeed, if memory serves, in the Left’s last-ditch attempt to prevent America’s youth from learning why they instinctively liked President Ronald Reagan, bookstores placed National Review behind the porn. Undaunted (if delayed), we nonetheless plucked and plumbed this seminal font of conservative philosophy, which led us to William F. Buckley’s television show, “Firing Line”; and, from there, we sojourned to the conservative works of Edmund Burke, Russell Kirk, T. S. Eliot, Thomas

As the party flounders because its leaders still have not recovered from the 2016 election. Just like the Democrats, Republican leaders cannot believe that we really elected Trump president. The Republican rank-and-file need to fill the void, and re-set the party´s principles. My proposal is simple. Republicans should stand up for the individual, which means they should stand for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Not equality and fraternity. Those are French things -- Marxist -- that do not respect the individual. Oh, of course we are for equal rights. Women have the same rights as men. People of the various colors have the

In the longstanding liberal narrative about Bill Clinton and his scandals, the one pushed by Clinton courtiers and ratified in media coverage of his post-presidency, our 42nd president was only guilty of being a horndog, his affairs were nobody’s business but his family’s, and oral sex with Monica Lewinsky was a small thing that should never have put his presidency in peril. That narrative could not survive the current wave of outrage over male sexual misconduct. So now a new one may be forming for the age of Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.
