Goodell’s absurd contract demands

The Roger Goodell contract details are leaking as fast as Ezekiel Elliott runs. Dual reports centering on the most contentious commissioner in American sports were released Sunday, one far less kind to Goodell than the other. ESPN cited sources with the figures for the contract extension Goodell has proposed to the NFL’s Competition Committee. According to a source familiar with the negotiations, Goodell has not budged from an offer he submitted around Aug. 1 in which he asks for $49.5 million per year, the lifetime use of a private jet and lifetime health insurance for his family (cue the players’ fury). Lemme see .. if the NFL goes belly up, Goodell and the players get squat.

Keep the boycott up. A new league can separate the good guys from the others. Meanwhile, fans can "tough out" football withdrawal for the next year.

Let´s see: The NFL hired this ham-fisted thug who has the business sense and charisma of a rock (my apology to rocks), is overseeing the demise of a once flourishing multi-billion dollar business due to his aforementioned attributes, and he has the cojones to demand stuff someone competent might blush at asking for and they are supposedly Hades-bent on keeping him?

Well they can have him but he, and they, lost me forever along the way.

Couldn´t he just pay for the health insurance out of the $49 million?

There are, in essence, three things wrong with the federal tax code. They are, in descending order of importance, that corporations pay an absurdly high rate; that the code is a labyrinthine mess that turns the work of paying one’s taxes into a nightmare; and that marginal individual rates have in recent years become punitive, with higher-income payers bearing most of the punishment. The tax reform bills currently in the House and Senate don’t eliminate any of these problems. But both bills address all three problems—and particularly the corporate tax rate—in ways that will encourage growth and investment. The most significant provision

You wouldn´t know that from the #fakenews media. Start with Israel: The Muslim strategy to destroy Israel hasn´t envisioned war--not at least since 1973--because Israel in all cases would win.
