Widow of Sgt. La David Johnson Slams
Trump Over Call: ‘I Was Very Angry’

Mediaite, by Aidan McLaughlin

The widow of fallen American soldier Sgt. La David T. Johnson appeared on Good Morning America Monday to discuss the death of her husband as well as the now-notorious call she received from President Donald Trump. Myeshia Johnson first told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that she has yet to receive full details about the death of her husband — — a soldier who was killed in an ambush in Niger by ISIS-affiliated militants — and has a number of questions over what led to his death. The consolation call Myeshia received from Trump has become a point of controversy this week,

Comments:
I am terribly, terribly sorry over the loss of her husband. That said, It is absolutely stunning to me that she would go on with that reprehensible hack Stephanopoulos to criticize the president of the United States of America. That reaches a level of low class behavior I have never seen before in this country. I don´t know how we ever regain the dignity and moral integrity we once had in our nation. It´s so terribly sad to witness. It´s not difficult to understand that one could stumble over ´La David.´ That isn´t exactly a common name.

Contd. It´s not difficult to understand that one could stumble over ´La David.´ That isn´t exactly a common name. Stephanopoulos, being the Democrat operative that he is, dutifully led her to attacking the president. If he had any sense he would be utterly and completely ashamed of himself for politicizing the death of her husband. It´s even sadder that she allowed herself to be used as a political pawn in this sordid mess.

Didn´t need to read the article.. "LaDavid" and
"Myeisha" was the first clue.

The widows of fallen service members get a pass on being angry - the Commander in Chief is held to a higher standard. His behavior in this incident has been horrible.

Oh plueeeze. This is not about this women´s husband making the ultimate sacrifice. It´s about her dislike of PRESIDENT Trump. I bet hussien could have called her husband by the name of Betty and it would have been accepted. I still say we should use the twisted meaning of the words" he wanted to be there" and use them on trevon marten. He wanted to be there. Same for mike brown. He wanted to be there. Grey in Boston. Him to. He wanted to be there. This women being coached by that nut job in the cowboy hat is using this widow and the widow is letting her.

I am sorry her husband died, everyone mourns for those four soldiers.
The wife was on her way to meet the remains at Dover, she´s in grief, pregnant and vulnerable.
Why was she in NY when she just buried her husband (Friday or Saturday) unless she is being paid? I´m sorry, but it sounds like another attempt to discredit the President. The left is desperate. Let this rest...in peace!

What Trump should have done was go in front of the media, express his sadness, and head off for a round of golf where he would be photographed laughing and yakking it up with his pals. This behavior is mainstream media approved and Is also considered appropriate after an American has been beheaded by ISIS.

I´m giving Mrs. Johnson a pass on this. She obviously was extremely upset at the time of the call and may not have heard what was actually said--until, of course, crazy hat Frederika coached her. This story has filled the weekend internet and it´s time for Mrs. Johnson to go home to her family. I´m sorry for her loss and I wish her well.

Agree with #12. #6, If you have not had to make that call, you have no idea what it is like. The fact that he is making the call for a solider killed in an Obama operation tells you what a great CINC he is. You need to move down to Frederika Wilson´s district where you will apparently be happier. MAGA.

Sorry but I can´t give Mrs. Johnson a pass. She was with a partisan hack and took the call participating in eavesdropping on the POTUS during what should have been a solemn occasion. Perhaps she allowed herself to be played under difficult circumstances, but her actions afterward suggest otherwise.

Looks to me like her 15 minutes are her priority.

#6, the president probably tried to compress four different ideas into one paragraph. That is a weakness of his.
The widow heard just one idea - that her husband knew what he was getting into, and, encouraged by the dimwitted cowgirl, stewed about that. She didn´t hear the rest.
She believes that her husband was not in that casket, because they wouldn´t let her look at his (mangled) body.

George Snuffleupagus is a longtime Clinton apparachek, there is no doubt that he arranged for the grieving military widow to come to New York to make an appearance on his show knowing that she would attack President Trump and the military.

Clearly the lady is not informed about exactly what happened to her husband, most likely because the US military does not exactly know yet and does not want to give her false or misleading information.

One of her complaints was that the military would not allow her to view her husband’s body. But before her husband was buried his body was released to a civilian funeral home that she designated. From that time on her husband’s body was in the custody of that funeral home. There is no telling what the brutal Islamist terrorists did to desecrate her husband’s body or what condition that the body was in. If the funeral home would not allow her to view the body, common sense will tell you that whatever happened to the body it was bad. Under those circumstances and the fact that she is pregnant, if she viewed the body she could have gone into shock, had a miscarriage resulting in the loss of her baby, and she would have remembered that sight for the rest of her life.

President Trump’s beef has never been with the dead soldier’s widow, in fact he described her as a very nice woman. What Trump has been responding to is the unwarranted political attack on him by Congresswoman Wilson.

It is clearly apparent now that the Trump call and the reaction to it was preplanned setup and coordinated well in advance in order to inflict the damage to Trump this has generated. Why was the congresswoman present? It’s obvious. Her instant reaction was in the script. Now the bereaved wife is going on anti Trump shows to continue the screen play drama. All part of the master plan.

Myeshia (silly name but oh so typical) - any empathy I had for you is gone. Go monitor your gofundme page as obviously $400,000 in DoD provided life insurance isn´t enough for you. That´s assuming LaDavid had enough sense to sign up for it. Snarky and nasty - you bet.

I can’t imagine a decent person calling with condolences and working from either prewritten notes or a teleprompter.

Unfortunately he (as many of us out here) had never heard of a La David amongst all the Keyshawns, Dwyanes, LeBrons and other madeup names that never saw either Africa nor Haiti nor a plantation ….. (I once stumbled upon internet pages dedicated to the naming of black babies, with scads of examples but the admonition that the parent(s) should add their own unique touches to assure individuality.)

The Empty Barrel has taken this story too far, and at this point my sympathy for Myeshia is strained. She is behaving far too Fredericaish. A little to Sabrina-y. I am really, really sorry that her husband lost his life. She should spend her time honoring his memory rather than running around, talking with any presstitute who’ll wave a few dollars at her to get her to publicly diss President Trump.

But LaDavid´s widow had this weird disconnect between her body language and the words she was saying - she did not seem sad at all. Strange....

President Trump talks in a New York City vernacular that is not straight forward standard English. Myeshia Johnson speaks and is used to hearing a Southern black Ebonics vernacular that is also not by any means standard English. So it is very possible that both participants in the condolence call were speaking in a manner that could easily be misunderstood by the other participant. If that happened it left an opening for a highly partisan and maleficent person, namely Congresswoman Wilson, to launch a political attack on President Trump while taking advantage of the grieving and vulnerable Mrs. Johnson. Remember that Congresswoman has been calling for President Trump to be impeached since he was elected because she does not like his political agenda.

Maybe President Trump should stick to writing official condolence letters to the next of kin of service members who are killed in action. That way there will always be a written record of what he said.

I had an aunt whose father was killed in action in the First World War. Her mother received a condolence letter from King George. The letter was short but to the point. She hung the letter in a frame on the wall in her living room and was proud of both her father and the letter.

Interesting that none of the other three families have been invited to the MSM studios to discuss their phone calls. By all accounts, the Army and our country lost a very fine soldier in La David, whom I´m sure had no part in naming himself. He didn´t just "sign up" to be in an airborne special forces unit; he had to work very hard to earn this achievement.

I´m not one of the "never Trumpers" and do not keep a list of those that may be inclined to be critical of our president. I´m also willing to fight to the death to protect our president against any unlawful attempts at his removal. Aside from concerted trolls and site pests, this site should not drum out those who may find reason to criticize PDT or members of his administration. Debating the points of presidential decisions, actions, or lack thereof is an all-American activity. Like many others who believe that Reagan was the best president of our life times, I don´t recall him being placed above criticism, even within conservative circles; however, he led our country before the widespread introduction of social media and clear cut polarization stemming from the over politicization of dang near everything. Prohibiting any and all PDT criticism carries with it a whiff of the Taliban.

One year after losing the presidential race, 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is still questioning the “legitimacy” of President Trump’s victory, accusing Republicans of voter suppression tactics in swing states and Russians of influencing votes through a “disinformation campaign.” “I think that there are lots of questions about its legitimacy,” Clinton said of the election during a video interview posted online Friday by the liberal Mother Jones website. Clinton lamented how “we don’t have a method for contesting” the election in the United States and called for an independent commission to “get to the bottom of what happened.” She suggested that she

As the breaking story of Al Franken‘s lewd behavior toward Leeann Tweeden during a USO tour in 2006 was developing Thursday, MSNBC’s Capitol Hill Correspondent Kasie Hunt reported to viewers that Franken was “not actually groping” Tweeden in the famous photo that shook the political and media landscape. (Snip) Not only is this “reporting” inaccurate, Hunt seems to present a political argument that even Franken is not making in his own defense. “Potentially — not actually groping, but mock-groping” is how Hunt, the reporter delivered the news. Once upon a time, Hillary Clinton thought the prospect of a presidential candidate declining to pledge to absolutely accept the sanctity of certified election results was "horrifying." She said so in a general election debate in order to attack Donald Trump -- who, at the time, was (recklessly) leaving the door open to challenge the outcome of an election most people expected him to lose. Chief among these people was Hillary Clinton. That´s why she excoriated his dodging and noncommittal answers on the question as dangerous to American democracy.

NBC host Megyn Kelly said President Trump is being hypocritical for condemning Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., for sexually harassing and assaulting a woman. At a time Democrats are desperate to keep the focus on accusations against President Donald Trump and Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, Gillibrand’s stand shocked even some of her close allies. In a textbook example of why Facebook users should pause for a moment of reflection before they post, a Democratic candidate for Ohio governor sought Friday to get ahead of any potential sex scandals by announcing the details of his relationships with 50 women. Former Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown asked for leniency from a federal judge in Florida on Friday. In May, a jury convicted Brown of 18 felony counts, including filing false tax returns, mail fraud, and working with others to run a fake non-profit group. WASHINGTON — Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat of New York, who holds Hillary Clinton’s former seat, said on Thursday that Bill Clinton should have resigned the presidency after his inappropriate relationship with an intern came to light nearly 20 years ago. Asked directly if she believed Mr. Clinton should have stepped down at the time, Ms. Gillibrand took a long pause and said, “Yes, I think that is the appropriate response.” But she also appeared to signal that what is currently considered a fireable offense may have been more often overlooked during the Clinton era. “Things have changed today, and I think under those
