After meeting, NFL, NFLPA release statement
indicating no change to anthem policy

Yahoo Sports, by Shalise Manza Young

Original Article

The much-publicized Tuesday meeting between NFL officials, team owners, NFLPA officials and several players lasted about three hours. While there was undoubtedly a lot discussed in that time, it sounds as though there has not been a resolution on a rule change to require that players stand for the national anthem before games. A statement released jointly by the NFL and NFLPA called it a “productive meeting,” and that there will be another session in the future: Today owners and players had a productive meeting focused on how we can work together to promote positive social change and address inequality

Comments:
Of course not. They are just putting things off to see how much they will cave to the filthy thugs in the NFL in order for them to keep their mouths shut. It´s just a matter of degrees how much more they are going to tick of more fans when they have already lost millions of dollars and fans. One NFL player said that Kaepernick was invited to this meeting and didn´t attend. His despicable attorney said he was not invited. That wouldn´t have surprised me in the least if they kissed up to his sorry butt.

In the past, police and prosecutors have turned a blind eye to the criminals in the NFL. One wonders, with the players so unpopular, will some of these police and DAs now start to treat criminal NFL players like everyone else? It would be true social juctise if these criminals actually had to face the consequences of their actions.

I do not want equality. The guys that invented all this tech equipment on my desk are a lot smarter than me. If they were not, we would be still using lead pencils. So I am grateful for inequality.

There is no such thing as "productive meeting" at this juncture. They should now focus on "damage control". And the only solution is, to swallow their PRIDE, and start enforcing the rule, AND immediately terminate those who insist on taking the knee during the anthem. Tough pill to swallow, but better now than later before being cornered into bankruptcy.

Is there an operational manual that states the players will stand for the national anthem, or not?

If so, I´m presuming this is part of their collective bargaining agreement.

They are in violation of their own union work rules, I believe.

No change to the anthem policy = ratings continuing to crash and burn

Talk about NOT knowing your base at all!!!!!

20 years from now, when the NFL is a distant memory, economics textbooks will write whole chapters dedicated to the absolute stupidity of the NFL owners and the NFL itself in going from massively successful to dead within a few short years -- a victim of stupidity on a massive scale (by owners, players, and the league).

Who decides what´s positive social change is?

To me it is working hard, staying off welfare, not being a criminal, not having babies without a daddy in the family, no drugs and not playing the victim in life.

I think that is not what they had in mind though. I am sure it is about what we have to give them for free to keep them happy. Once the NFL and others start being extorted by these thugs it will never stop.

Webster´s Dictionary needs to add an additional example to the definition of stupid.

Funny thing is the owners are even more stupid than the players. Billionaires controlled by thugs et al.

Just out of curiosity, how do the white players feel? Not sure if any of them were represented at the meeting. That would require that I still give a damn.

You have had numerous chances and you still choose to spit in the eyes of your fans, your country, your military and your first responders. RIP NFL. Actually, Rest in Hell NFL.

A complete El Foldo.

The owners are afraid of their black players and have too great a financial interest in them not to go along to get along.

And as to the fans, well, as the owners see it they´ve got ´em hooked and its just a matter of relying on the short public memory and some euphemistic sugar glaze to get them over this unexpected speed bump. I´m sure they fully expect everything to be back to business as usual by playoff time, if not sooner. Whether they´re right or not will be determined soon.

Ohio State Supreme Court Justice Bill O´Neill is something of an eccentric character. After repeated unsuccessful campaigns for Congress and for Ohio´s Supreme Court, the Democrat shocked everyone when he won his current seat in 2012. One year after losing the presidential race, 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is still questioning the “legitimacy” of President Trump’s victory, accusing Republicans of voter suppression tactics in swing states and Russians of influencing votes through a “disinformation campaign.” “I think that there are lots of questions about its legitimacy,” Clinton said of the election during a video interview posted online Friday by the liberal Mother Jones website. The NFL has come out against House Republicans’ tax cut bill, putting the league out on a political limb even as it deals with the fallout from national anthem protests. Other big pro sports leagues are staying out of the fight, but a spokesman for the National Football League said teams don’t want to lose a special tax break that allows them to use tax-free bonds to build stadiums. The NFL says it deserves the break because new stadiums create jobs. “You can look around the country and see the economic development that’s generated from some of these stadiums,” Joe Lockhart, a former

Apparently, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un had a unique idea for farmers when they fertilize their crops, and it’s causing a wave of parasitic infections across the country: Use human excrement.According to Yahoo News, in 2014 Kim Jong-un instructed farmers to mix human feces with animal waste and organic compost to make fertilizer for their fields. Yahoo notes, “With a lack of livestock to provide animal fertilizer, agriculturists poured the human excrement, also known as ‘night soil,’ on their fields.”Choi Min-Ho, a professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine who specializes in parasites, told Reuters, “Although we do not

(Snip) Not only is this “reporting” inaccurate, Hunt seems to present a political argument that even Franken is not making in his own defense. “Potentially — not actually groping, but mock-groping” is how Hunt, the reporter delivered the news. How does she know this? What facts have been presented to support this? I

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ohio Supreme Court Justice Bill O´Neill, a Democratic candidate for governor, apparently trying to head off any criticisms from his opponents, revealed what he says are his sexual escapades over the years on a Facebook post. A post on O´Neill´s official Facebook said he was speaking up "on behalf of all heterosexual males" after allegations against Democratic U.S. Sen. Al Franken came to light Thursday. O´Neill, a Chagrin Falls native, said he had been "sexually intimate" with "approximately 50 very attractive females." O´Neill said he was disappointed by the "national feeding frenzy about sexual indiscretions decades ago"
