Breaking: Muslim school´s policy of segregating

Court of Appeal decides in landmark ruling

An Islamic faith school´s policy of segregating boys from girls is unlawful sex discrimination, Court of Appeal judges have today ruled. Three Court of Appeal judges in London overturned last year´s finding by a High Court judge that Ofsted was wrong to penalise the mixed-sex Al-Hijrah school in Birmingham. Inspectors had found that separating the pupils - to the extent that they were forced to walk down different corridors - left them ´unprepared for life in modern Britain´. Ofsted also discovered that the school kept ´offensive´ books in the library which advocated wife beating and forced sex – a fact the school was

Well isn´t that interesting, two leftist positions in a head on collision.

This will happen more and more as the left gains control because their ideology isn´t based on any consistent value system.

You can´t have unbridled "tolerance" and at the same time disallow offending anybody´s sensitivities. Funny thing, some people believe in things in direct conflict with what others believe.

Just slap COEXIST bumper stickers on all the care in the parking lot and problem solved.

I place my bet -- Islam is the irresistible object over there, and the feminists will discover they ain´t no immovable force. In the Gaian hierarchy, "color" (broadly conceived in the case of Muslims, who of course are of all "colors")) trumps gender. Look to see this ruling rescinded.

I have always liked the idea of separte schools for the sexes-but it should start at 8th grade. Before that children should see each other as friends. Muslim boys need to see girls as people equal to themselves and this would go a long way in beginning that revelation. But surviving puberty and living in a highly sexed Western culture would benefit separating pre-teens and teenagers. And school uniforms! That is for all kids not just Muslims.

Back and forth it goes. President Trump says he had it in the bag, but turned it down, so far as being named TIME magazine’s person of the year, 2017. Never happened, say the magazine’s editors. Trump was never in the running. Why Trump cares about this in the first place is a mystery. In case he forgot, he was last year’s choice. Anyway, he is the president for the next four years…and hopefully the next eight years…so what’s the big deal? I mean, who cares about 2017? It’s been a rotten year. Best forgotten once it’s gone. Then the

The FBI said on Saturday that it was inundated with over 200,000 requests for background checks for gun purchases on Black Friday – setting a single day record. The bureau said that it received 203,086 requests for background checks on Friday, smashing the previous all-time single day record of 185,713 in 2016 and 185,345 in 2015. Those records were also set on Black Friday, according to USA Today. Background checks are required for anyone seeking to purchase a gun at a federally licensed dealer. While the number of requests for background checks is high, the number of guns sold is

A criminal justice college in New York City is embroiled in a battle with the Pentagon over exhibiting and helping to sell artwork by suspected al Qaeda terrorists at Guantanamo Bay. John Jay College of Criminal Justice is displaying 36 pieces of art by Gitmo detainees but the Department of Defense wants the paintings and sculptures destroyed. The school is funded by tax payers. Families of 9/11 victims were particularly upset to learn about the artwork. ´I can´t understand how this college in particular would allow such a thing. Where´s their decency? Where´s their dignity? . . . It´s denying and softening

Andy Murray might not be best known for his sense of humour but he demonstrated his funny side with a hilarious tweet aimed at Donald Trump. The US President took to Twitter late on Friday to claim that Time Magazine was planning on making him their Person of the Year again. He wrote: ´Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!´ The claim

Theresa May is considering giving the European Court of Justice a role in Britain once it has left the EU. The Prime Minister has held talks about a potential referral system to the ECJ for European citizens who remain in the UK. Judges in the UK would refer cases to Luxembourg should queries crop up that have not been addressed during Britain´s membership of the EU. Theresa May discussed the idea at a meeting of her inner Brexit Cabinet on Monday, The Sun reported. One senior Government source said the solution would be a ´good compromise´ and could represent a significant breakthrough in

Trip spoke after recent criticism of former President Bill Clinton by some Democrats – including New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who says Clinton

North Korea suffered acute embarrassment on November 13 when a border guard fled first by jeep and then on foot across the joint security area (JSA) with South Korea. The defector, identified only by his surname Oh, sped in a jeep towards the South before losing control and crashing into a ditch. He sprinted the final few metres as North Korea guards opened fire. It´s that time of the year again. That´s right - it´s time to hide your Thanksgiving turkey before your four-legged friend finds it first. Despairing dog owners in the US have been shaming their greedy pooches on social media with signs detailing their crimes. WASHINGTON — Of all the State Department employees who might have been vulnerable in the staff reductions that Secretary of State Rex W. Republicans pilloried Hillary Clinton for what they claimed was her inadequate attention to security as secretary of state in the months before the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya. Congress even passed legislation mandating that the department’s top security official have unrestricted access to the secretary of state. But in his first

For more than five hours, Attorney General Jeff Sessions sat in a hearing room on Capitol Hill this month, fending off inquiries on Washington’s two favorite topics: President Trump and Russia. But legislators spent little time asking Sessions about the dramatic and controversial changes in policy he has made since taking over the top law enforcement job in the United States nine months ago. From his crackdown on illegal immigration to his reversal of Obama administration policies on criminal justice and policing, Sessions is methodically reshaping the Justice Department to reflect his nationalist ideology and hard-line views — moves drawing comparatively

Recent pics of Malia Obama showed her kissing a tall, athletically-built white male who was most likely a fellow university student. It seems normal enough, right? She’s a young woman, he’s a young man – so what’s the problem? Well, apparently many in the Black community find what she did to be an appalling act of…racism. The onslaught of negativity directed at the daughter of the former President is both shocking and troubling. Why do so many choose to see the world through the narrow prism of color and then demand that color requires one to never deviate from their “rules”
