James O’Keefe Busts YouTube Deciding
What Is ‘Legitimate’ News, and What Isn’t

Breitbart Big Journalism, by Joel B. Pollak

James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas has released a follow-up to its exposé of bias at the New York Times earlier this week. This time, the target is YouTube, the ubiquitous video-sharing platform owned by technology giant Google. (snip) The second video shows Dudich describing his relationships with staff at YouTube, and suggesting that he uses those relationships to promote or bury Times videos according to his own views. He says he ensured a Times video that portrayed Facebook “negatively” was not promoted: “I chose to put it in a spot that I knew wouldn’t do well.” He says he can promote

A few Ping-Pong balls broke the Cold War ice around China a generation ago, following Richard Nixon’s stunning trip to Beijing (when it was still called Peiping), and soon the United States and China were on their way to normal diplomatic relations. China even toned down its colorful bellicose rhetoric about what it could do to America and the West, probably putting a few of Chairman Mao’s best writers out of business. Kim Jong-un’s writers learned a lot about theatrical rhetoric from the Chairman’s writing shop. This time the leader of an all-female pop group may be the designated Ping-Pong ball. Hyon

Washington — The Senate voted Thursday to renew for six years a surveillance program that collects the content of an unknown number of Americans´ email, text messages, photos and other electronic communication without a warrant. The Senate voted 65-34 to renew the controversial law, known as Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. The action came after Senate leaders narrowly won a vote Tuesday night to allow the renewal bill to move forward. The House approved the legislation last week, and President Trump is expected to sign the bill before the law expires at midnight Friday. Federal intelligence agencies, which urged Congress

French film legend Brigitte Bardot attacked the #MeToo movement Wednesday, claiming that actresses who complain of sexual harassment were just looking for publicity. "The vast majority are being hypocritical and ridiculous," she told the French magazine Paris Match. "Lots of actresses try to play the tease with producers to get a role. And then, so we will talk about them, they say they were harassed," declared the 83-year-old Bardot. "I was never the victim of sexual harassment. And I found it charming when men told me that I was beautiful or I had a nice little backside," said the actress, who became a

Bloomberg broke a story just as the New York Stock Exchange began trading on Wednesday: China Weighs Slowing or Halting Purchases of U.S. Treasuries The story turned out to be the latest in a string of Fake News reports by a news organization owned by Mike Bloomberg, whose opposition to President Trump knows no bounds. Bloomberg´s anger at Trump has rendered his company unreliable when it comes to financial news. Let us review. The financial news service on February 12, 2017, reported: America’s Biggest Creditors Dump Treasuries in Warning to Trump It was Fake News which Bloomberg News has never retracted. As I await the editing of "Fake News Follies of 2017," I re-read it and think disquieting thoughts about why Fake News replaced the real stuff. And I have come to a few conclusions about journalists in general that explain this foolishness. Most journalists hold dearly beliefs that simply are not true. The first wrong belief is "The pen is mightier than the sword." English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton wrote this in 1839. No, it is not. If the pen were mightier than the sword, then we would have no wars. Instead, people would resolve their problems by writing nasty things to one another. Newspapers

President Trump goes in for his annual physical Friday, and the doctors will only look at things like his blood pressure, listen to his heart, bang on his knees with a little rubber mallet and turn him around for the ever-popular prostate exam. But it’s what’s inside his head that obsesses the Democrats, certain psychiatrists, assorted sorehead losers and others desperate to relieve their own Trump Derangement Syndrome. Robert Mueller’s witch hunt has turned up no sorcerer, only an irrelevant apprentice or two, and the great search for a Russian in the White House woodpile is running on fumes. Mr. Mueller could

Free speech, the driving principle of the American experiment in how free men govern themselves, is a principle that does not always travel well. Free speech requires constant defense and the careful attention of loving hands. Mere lip service won’t do it. Americans are armed with the First Amendment, the most important amendment of all, and it does not guarantee polite or even responsible speech, but free speech. The humblest citizen is entitled to say whatever he pleases. He can expect to pay the consequences of irresponsible speech, but the government can’t stop him from saying it. This after Lebanon’s census data recently placed the number of Palestinian “refugees” living in the country at about one third of the nearly 500,000 reported by UNRWA. UNRWA runs camps and projects for so-called Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. After leaving office, President Ronald Reagan created the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award to recognize individuals who have fought to spread liberty worldwide. Reagan recognized that as leader of the free world, his words carried enormous weight, and he used it to inspire the unprecedented spread of democracy around the world. In an interview with AFP, Palomo likened his fashion revolution to the ones ushered by Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent in the 20th century. California lawmakers are targeting the expected windfall companies in the state would see under the federal tax overhaul with a bill that would require businesses to turn over half to the state. A proposed Assembly Constitutional Amendment by Assemblymen Kevin McCarty, D -Sacramento and Phil Ting, D-San Francisco, would create a tax surcharge on California companies making more than $1 million so that half of their federal tax cut would instead go to programs that benefit low-income and middle class families.

Microwaves are as damaging to the environment as cars and users must be taught how to cook more efficiently, scientists say. The ovens are responsible for 7.7 million tons of the carbon dioxide pumped out from the EU each year — the equivalent of 6.8 million cars. Researchers say they are fueling global warming with consumers overcooking food to blame. Microwaves account for the largest percentage of sales of all types of oven in the EU, with numbers set to reach 135 million by 2020. But scientists at the University of Manchester — the first to assess the environmental impact
