James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas has released a follow-up to its exposé of bias at the New York Times earlier this week. This time, the target is YouTube, the ubiquitous video-sharing platform owned by technology giant Google. If you´ve ever wanted to go to an NFL game and you have five dollars in your pocket, then this is the perfect week to do it. As of Thursday afternoon, there are actual NFL tickets that are selling on the secondary market for under five dollars. Of course, like all good deals, these tickets do come with a catch: You need to live near Buffalo, have a high tolerance for cold weather and be willing to sit through three hours of a Colts-Bills game. If you can handle those three things, then these are the perfect tickets for you. The cheapest

It’s only a matter of time until the female of the species becomes predator, and is caught in the web of what the country preacher called “he’in and she’in,” which has been the favorite game of men and women since Eve disdained perfection in the Garden of Eden. Adam was a sap, but Eve must have been truly irresistible. Science insists that one day two big clods of cosmic clay banged into each other somewhere out there beyond Pluto, and the evolutionary result a zillion eons later was a heavenly creature with the body of Marlene Dietrich and the face

In his compelling new book, Blue on Blue, Charles Campisi, chief of the NYPD´s Internal Affairs Bureau, tells how he was able to dramatically reform the bureau and improve the quality of NYPD policing. Campisi instituted what he called "integrity tests." These were more commonly known in the NYPD as "stings." In his newly proactive NYPD, Campisi ran as many as 500 to 600 integrity tests a year, in which cops had "the opportunity to do the right thing or the wrong thing." The key, writes Campisi, was "to make the situation seem real, so real ... the cop in question doesn´t

The Clinton can is as full of worms as her harshest critics ever imagined it was, and now the worms are turning. Washington is agog, liberal and conservative alike, as the details of the spreading story of confusion, chicanery and crime in Hillary’s campaign for president emerge from the dark and fetid places so abundant in the capital. Hillary thought she had the presidency in the can, as her friends in Hollywood might have put it, but it turns out that there was no room in the can for a mere presidency. There were too many interesting worms. It’s turning out that

The tables have turned and what was once the media’s favorite message — President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election — has now grown silent. Apparently, it’s Bill and Hillary Clinton who’ve been doing the behind-scenes and suspicious dealings with Russia all along. Oh, and perhaps others in the Barack Obama administration, too. You think special counsel Robert Mueller might switch the target of his investigation any time soon? Seems a bit time-wasting — not to mention taxpayer dollar-wasting — to keep on the Trump trail, desperately searching for signs of a collusion that just didn’t happen. Futile is a

The Burning Platform´s Jim Quinn notes that: I have no idea if Major General Higginbotham actually penned this or not but it is a stark warning, one that I have maintained for years, that a civil war in North America (if it happens in the USA it will take Mexico and Canada along for the ride) will not be as cut and dry and as some folks would like. There are no definable sides to our current predicament, no political organization to speak of, and as such a wide spread conflict would become chaos in short order. A number of US athletes have spoken out against Donald Trump during his presidency -- and skier Lindsey Vonn has become the latest to have her say. Targeting Olympic gold at February´s Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Vonn is in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where she spoke passionately about what it means to compete for the US ski team. "Well I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president," Vonn told CNN´s Alpine Edge. The 33-year-old Vonn is getting ready for the final act of a long and illustrious career. Rumors that the Republican National Committee was built on the site of an ancient moron burial ground gained new credence this week when it confirmed that it was renewing its support for Alabama´s Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore. I shouldn’t joke, because the worst thing about the RNC’s decision isn’t the stupidity — though the stupidity is real, and spectacular — but the moral obscenity. Last month, the RNC and the National Republican Senatorial Committee pulled out of their joint fundraising agreements because Moore had been credibly accused by several women of having preyed upon them when they were teenagers,

The former president boasted about saving “a million lives” thanks to his efforts in the Ebola outbreak in Africa. (Snip) The danger is "grow(ing) complacent," Obama said. Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she wrote part of the disputed note in her high school yearbook that she and famed attorney Gloria Allred presented as proof the then-30-something Moore sought an inappropriate relationship with her in the late 1970s. DEVELOPING: Calling it “the worst day of his political life,” Sen. Al Franken said Thursday he will resign from the U.S. Senate following a wave of sexual misconduct allegations against him. Minnesota Public Radio reported late Wednesday he would resign, though Franken’s office pushed back saying it wasn’t a done deal yet. It will be up to Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton to appoint a successor. (Snip) Multiple sources reported that the likely candidate could be Democratic Lt. Gov. Tina Smith, a close ally of Franken. WASHINGTON — John Conyers III, who was endorsed by his father on Tuesday to succeed him in the House, was arrested in February after his girlfriend suffered knife cuts during an argument. Mr. Conyers, in an interview Wednesday, tried to head off a possibly disqualifying scandal just a day after his father resigned from Congress amid multiplying allegations of sexual harassment. As issues of sexual harassment and abuse roil Washington, any violent altercation against a woman could doom his effort to take the seat that his father held since 1965. The younger Mr. Conyers said that the couple began arguing around 3

"I don’t know the cause of it, but when you combine it with [Sen.] Bob Corker’s critique that the president of the United States is unstable, that he’s dangerous, when you look at the private comments that are made by members of Congress around his stability, you look at his actions in recent weeks," said Schmidt, who is also an

Al Franken’s resignation speech on Thursday seemed less heartfelt than grudging. He cast it not as an act of atonement — he continues to deny the charges largely and acknowledged through his stifled rage that his previous quasi-apologies had hastened his demise — but a reluctant act of gallantry. He was submitting docilely to the “broader conversation” on sexual harassment, he said, while signaling that his replacement, to whom he referred as “her,” would be a female pol embodying that conversation. The speech followed the usual pattern of lying pols: I didn’t do it, I’m only quitting because I am a

How is it possible that Hillary Clinton escaped criminal indictment for mishandling classified documents despite incriminating evidence that she violated the Espionage Act? Why did Donald Trump become the target of a criminal investigation for allegedly conspiring with Russia to influence the presidential election despite no evidence that he ever did so? The answer, it seems, comes down to one person who played a vital role in both cases: Peter Strzok, deputy director of counterintelligence at the FBI. Strzok was exchanging politically charged texts with an FBI lawyer that denigrated Trump and lauded Clinton at the same time he was

We already know Steve Bannon believes that politics is war. But during the course of his speech at an Alabama rally for Roy Moore this week, he gave the country an ugly lesson in what scorched-earth political warfare really entails. (Snip)Still, despite all the fun he’s having attacking his favorite targets and boosting Moore, Bannon has to be aware that he isn’t winning his war on McConnell. Try as he might to deny it, he knows McConnell is now more important to Trump than the Breitbart attack machine is. It was McConnell’s successful maneuvering and negotiating that gave Trump his

MSNBC "Hardball" host Chris Matthews said Thursday night that "the worst you can say about Democrats is that they´re too pure" in light of recent resignation announcements made by Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) and Sen. John Conyers (D-Mich.) amid sexual harassment allegations. Former President Barack Obama is taking credit for the robust economic growth that is taking place under President Trump. At a conference of mayors in Chicago, Mr. Obama congratulated himself Tuesday for strong employment numbers in the U.S. this year, saying his climate-change policies have contributed to growth. “As we took these actions, we saw the U.S. economy grow consistently,” Mr. Obama said. “We saw the longest streak of job creation in American history by far, a streak that still continues by the way.” He added wryly, “Thanks, Obama.” The stock market has gained about 30 percent in value since
