James Van Der Beek: ‘I’ve had my
ass grabbed by older, powerful men’

New York Post, by Lia Eustachewich

James Van Der Beek has come forward as a victim of sexual harassment, saying he’s had “my ass grabbed by older, powerful men.” The actor made the stunning disclosure early Thursday morning in a series of tweets about Harvey Weinstein’s sex scandal. “I’ve had my ass grabbed by older, powerful men, I’ve had them corner me in inappropriate sexual conversations when I was much younger…” Van Der Beek wrote, adding, “I understand the unwarranted shame, powerlessness & inability to blow the whistle. There’s a power dynamic that feels impossible to overcome.” The 40-year-old father of four rose to fame as Dawson Leery

Comments:
Homosexual Hollywood sex pests also are being dragged into the light, although prior accusations by Corey Feldman and Corey Haim (one of whom is deceased), and also reports of poolside drug-fueled orgies with young boys, never gained much traction in the media.

Consider also that when Hollywood types lecture us about "rape culture" and abuses of power, they do so through their own lens. And very few of these brave ones came forward before it was safe to do so.

Dang, when I was young and good-looking, no one, I mean NO ONE, grabbed my ass. I must be the only person left in the world who has nothing to report in that regard. I got hit on plenty, but never grabbed. I´m starting to feel left out. Are we going to have to hear from everyone in Hollywood before this is all over?

It is long past time to start naming names. No more titillation gentlemen. Either fish or cut bait.

Maybe now that more of this is coming out, Corey Feldman will finally not feel so alone and he can start talking facts. Time to clean out the other swamp.

I notice these men coming out of the woodwork now to grab their 15 minutes. I am just not interested. Sorry.

Without evidence to substantiate their claims, any of the victims would face sure financial ruin in the form of lawsuits filed by the deep-pocketed accusers. That´s in addition to being blackballed by Hollywood, which is filled with such players who protect their own. The way I see it, the more victims come forward, the deeper the damage to the left. Remember, these are the people who frame modern American culture, very much for the worse.

If he didn´t want his derriere grabbed he should have stated it loudly and then proceeded to report it to the police. If he remained silent, he enabled the person who did it.

The only refreshing thing about this scandal is that these pampered, ill-informed performers have stopped attacking Trump - at least for the minute.

Former President George W. Bush offered an unmistakable denunciation of Trumpism Thursday without mentioning the president by name, urging citizens to oppose threats to American democracy. “Bigotry seems emboldened. Our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication,” Bush warned in remarks at the Bush Institute’s Spirit of Liberty event in New York. By chance, Bush was standing in the same spot at the Time Warner Center where former President Barack Obama made a similar plea for democracy and American leadership in late September, shortly after President Donald Trump had finished a belligerent, isolationist speech to the United Nations
