As Harvey Weinstein continues his fall from grace, he’s dragging some big-name celebrities through the mud with him. The Oscar-winning producer has been accused of sexual abuse and harassment across a period of decades, with stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie coming forward and telling their stories. Weinstein’s alleged behavior has prompted statements from George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon, among others, but many in Hollywood are feigning ignorance. And Affleck and Damon in particular have people really riled up.(snip)One of those women who came forward is having none of Affleck’s statement. On Tuesday, actress Rose McGowan

The Affleck brothers have both been accused of abuse. They knew and let it go maybe even thinking it is ok since they are big "stars". The entire Hollywood culture stinks.

And they think that they have a right to tell the Normals how to act and how to vote. Right.

Affleck and Damon, what a couple of swell guys. I hope they get everything they deserve. Won´t be far behind Harvey.

Can´t wait to see who comes forward to reveal their nightmares.

Hollywood is a disgusting place, I go to none of their movies. Mostly Red-Box or wait for it on Netflix or Amazon.

Has anyone else besides me wondered whether these two ´Southie boys´ actually wrote all or even part of Good Will Hunting? At 24 years old? It´s always seemed implausible to me.

While they´ve certainly carved out successful careers for themselves they don´t sound all that deep or smart when I´ve seen them interviewed.

It is rather strange that many of these A list actresses are stepping forth now to denounce Weinschwein. Why is that they did not do so earlier? Was it better first to climb the ladder of success, get tons of money and fame and now climb on the new band wagon, go after the ugly pig who should have been in prison years ago?!

Starlets...political interns....young news reporters....new attorneys at the firm...
It seems lots of women give up their body to move up the ladder, or attain their dreams.

The men involved are definitely pigs and should be exposed and condemned, but the aspiring women are not innocent in this deal.
It is one thing to be attacked by a man who has power over their ability to survive, or will not take "no" for their answer.
It is quite another to be attacked by someone who WILL take a "no" for an answer, but it will likely cost them their dreams. That´s when it moves into a sex in exchange for money or fame situation.

When I was in LA in the 80´s, I made a side trip to see the sidewalk of Tinseltown stars. It was dirty and it looked like blocks of sex shops and bars. How fitting. It´s probably worse now. Not that I´d ever go to CA again. Once was plenty. Snipers on the freeway. Bars and razor wire everywhere and shops telling you it wasn´t safe to be outside at night. No thanks.

A top Senate Republican is calling for the Justice Department to lift an apparent “gag order” on an FBI informant who reportedly helped the U.S. uncover a corruption and bribery scheme by Russian nuclear officials but allegedly was “threatened” by the Obama administration to stay quiet. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is focusing on the informant amid scrutiny of the 2010 approval of a controversial uranium deal with a Russian company. He’s raising questions about potential “conflicts of interest” for Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration, and especially wants to know whether the committee that approved the deal was

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders fired back at the media on Wednesday, arguing that they have taken President Donald Trump’s comments on calling families of fallen troops “far out of context.” “The comments were certainly, I think, taken very far out of context by the media,” she said during the daily press briefing. “The point the president was making is that there’s a different process [for each president]. Sometimes they call. Sometimes they write letters. Sometimes they engage directly,” she said. A four and a half decades-long career as a member of the Congress of the United States is coming to a humiliating and undignified end for 79-year-old Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS). A reporter from Politico captured the sad scene at the Capitol on Wednesday: Cochran appeared frail and at times disoriented during a brief hallway interview on Wednesday. He was unable to answer whether he would remain chairman of the Appropriations Committee, and at one point, needed a staffer to remind him where the Senate chamber is located. “Don’t believe everything you hear,” Cochran said in a low voice when asked whether he

After all, his views are indistinguishable from many of his peers at other distinguished universities. The craziness so common at other American college campuses is now demonstrated to have infected even our military service academies. We should not be surprised, but we are

It addressed deficiencies in the Clinton Foundation’s structure and oversight, including the potential for conflicts of interest due to the Hillary Clinton’s role as Secretary of State.
