Hilarie Burton claims she was groped by Ben Affleck during his appearance on TRL in 2003. The former host of the show made the allegations on Tuesday night, just hours after Affleck made a statement condemning Harvey Weinstein´s alleged abusive actions in his sexual assault and harassment scandal. In it he said he was ´saddened and angry´ over the ´sickening´ claims. Affleck´s statement was quickly slammed by a number of people - including Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan who called Affleck a liar. When a fan tweeted that Affleck might as well have ´kept quiet,´ another Twitter user wrote: ´He also grabbed Hilarie Burton´s breasts
Comments: Play along with the system and people like Ben Affleck and Matt Damon get to be wealthy stars who lecture of on global warming, bullying, the meanness of Republicans, etc. These degenerates reflect nearly all of Hollywood, and they define our mainstream culture.
I´ve been saying it for a while now. Be they athletes, musicians, actors, fashion designers, writers etc. They are no more than trained circus animals. They have NO business doing anything other than performing as they have been trained to do. Their personal lives are toxic - drugs, abuse, aberrant lifestyles. Indeed AMERICANS would do well to reevaluate their "entertainments" and relegate them to their proper place in life once again. More wholesome diversions await thoughtful consideration. Walks, reading enriching books, learn to play an instrument, play games with loved ones. No "entertainment" should be a multi million dollar industry.
In addition if you met any one of these trained circus animals at your local grocery store, coffee shop, library or place of worship, I can promise you wouldn´t give them the time of day. Arrogant, self absorbed, pathologically narscistic. Unable to manage even the most rudimentary manners or conversations. These are not creatures you would want to introduce to your family and yet they are in our homes "entertaining" us and our children. Lecturing us on what we should think, what we should do, who we should embrace and all the while their own lives are disasters. They have NO morals, no values and the mental capacity of asphalt. They have NO place in our lives or homes or our culture.
Celebs like Affleck are just sorry Weinstein got caught. They live in a decadent community where sex flows freely. They hook up, have babies out of wedlock, marry, divorce, drink and do drugs. Then they get STD´s and overdose on drugs and die early leaving behind confused children. They also promote their behavior on the screen trying to contaminate our children by making it look normal. The entire Hollywood culture is sick and depraved!
Creep! And worse, I can´t believe people are accusing her NOW! It´s understandable for her to be upset about his hypocritical statement about Weinstein when he´s a jerk himself. It´s NOT okay to grope a girl/woman ever!
An illegal immigrant “Dreamer” who became the face of the pro-DACA movement earlier this year after getting deported was arrested this week for trying to sneak back into the U.S. without permission, the Border Patrol said Wednesday. Juan Manuel Montes-Bojorquez had claimed to be the first person protected by DACA to have been deported by the Trump administration, and was suing to regain entry to the U.S. A judge had seemed sympathetic to his case. (Snip) Mr. Montes had tried to sneak back into the U.S. in February after his initial deportation and was caught. The government said that
The Palm Springs, Calif., City Council is entirely LGBT or queer after two new members were elected to the council Tuesday. Lisa Middleton made history Tuesday as the first openly transgender candidate elected to a nonjudicial office in California. Christy Holstege, who identifies as bisexual, won the second open seat on the city council. (Snip) Middleton and Holstege join gay councilmembers Geoff Kors and J.R. Roberts. Other transgender candidates were elected to office Tuesday — significant victories for an oft marginalized community. Transgender woman Andrea Jenkins was elected to the Minneapolis City Council while Danica Roem of Virginia beat 13-term Republican
One of the black Air Force Academy cadets who claimed he was targeted by racial slurs scrawled outside his dorm room actually wrote the hateful messages himself, school officials said this week. Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria — whose passionate message to cadets at the Air Force Academy’s Preparatory School in Colorado went viral after five black cadets found the words “go home” and an accompanying racial slur outside their dorm in September — confirmed the finding and reiterated the need for inclusiveness at the academy outside Colorado Springs. “Regardless of the circumstances under which those words were written, they were
Former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer admitted on Capitol Hill Wednesday that the Silicon Valley giant still doesn’t understand how hackers managed to compromise the information of billions of Yahoo users. In an opening statement to the Senate Commerce Committee, Mayer apologized to Yahoo’s users, blamed “Russian agents” for the breach and said that Yahoo quickly worked to protect user accounts and contact law enforcement. The digital diva — who left the helm of Yahoo earlier this year after it was acquired by Verizon — was forced to testify with a subpoena after she refused several requests to testify voluntarily, according
The Minneapolis City Council was poised for historic change Tuesday as voters elected the city’s first transgender council member, on a night that saw a handful of veteran council members from across the city struggling to hold on against strong challenges. “I’m feeling elated. Ecstatic. Extraordinarily happy right now,” Andrea Jenkins, who becomes the first transgender woman of color elected to public office in a major U.S. city, said from her election night party at Curran’s Restaurant. “I’m really, really deeply proud of my community.” At least one longtime council incumbent seen as vulnerable seized an early victory: Lisa Goodman,
A black Kansas man has admitted he put racist graffiti on his own car as a Halloween prank that got out of hand, police said Monday. Photographs posted on social media Wednesday showed the car covered with racial slurs against blacks and messages that included ´Go Home,´ ´Date your own kind,´ and ´Die.´ The vehicle, covered in graffiti scrawled with washable paint, was parked Wednesday at an apartment complex near Kansas State University and the incident fueled racial tensions at the university and in the community. An emergency meeting of the Black Student Union called that evening drew concerned administrators
Dozens of warships believed to contain the remains of thousands of British, American, Australian, Dutch and Japanese servicemen from the second world war have been illegally ripped apart by salvage divers, the Guardian can reveal. An analysis of ships discovered by wreck divers and naval historians has found that up to 40 second world war-era vessels have already been partially or completely destroyed. Their hulls might have contained the corpses of 4,500 crew. (Snip) These submerged ships are one of the last sources of “low background steel”, virtually radiation-free and vital for some scientific and medical equipment.
A newly declassified FBI dossier on the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. alleges the civil rights leader had a possible lovechild and once bedded folk singer Joan Baez. The scandalous 20-page report – included in the latest document dump of files related to the JFK assassination – says that “a responsible Los Angeles individual” informed an agent that King had an affair with the wife of a prominent black dentist and may have fathered a baby girl. (Snip) The dossier also alleges that King had a proclivity for orgies – and that the frisky revelries even took place at workshops where
An extra $5 million (£3.8m) has been released to control the deadly plague outbreak in Madagascar which has now reached ´crisis´ point. The World Bank has answered desperate cries from aid workers for emergency funding to tackle the ´worst outbreak in 50 years´. Cases of the plague have spiraled by 37 per cent in less than a week, and the most recent statistics show at least 1,800 people are now infected and 127 deaths have been recorded. (Snip) The ´truly unprecedented´ outbreak has prompted warnings it will spread to nine nearby countries - South Africa, Seychelles, La Reunion, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Comoros
Kevin Spacey turned the set of “House of Cards” into a sick, sexual playground — which he used to harass and abuse young staffers, a report says. Eight people who currently work on the show or worked on it in the past have come forward and accused the Oscar winning actor of misconduct, with at least one person claiming he was sexually assaulted. (Snip) “It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors,” he said. The individual described one incident in which Spacey unabashedly grabbed his crotch
Accusations of inappropriate sexual behaviour against Kevin Spacey are mounting, with one actor claiming the Hollywood star routinely preyed on young men and sometimes invited them to the stage of the Old Vic for picnics. The Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos said there were many young men with a “Kevin Spacey story”. He added: “It seems that it only took a male under 30 to make Mr Spacey feel free to touch us.” (Snip) He recalled being told a similar story by many people of how Spacey invited young male actors to the Old Vic to “talk about their careers”. Cavazos continued:
Dustin Hoffman apologized Wednesday after a woman came forward to accuse the actor of sexually harassing her when she was a 17-year-old production assistant. Writing for The Hollywood Reporter, Anna Graham Hunter, now 49, said she was interning as a production assistant on the 1985 TV movie adaption of “Death of a Salesman” when the alleged harassment occurred. (Snip) She said she initially laughed off Mr. Hoffman’s advances, but later explicitly and repeatedly told him to stop. “And yes, I loved the attention from Dustin Hoffman. Until I didn’t,” she wrote. “One morning I went to his dressing room to
A day before Donald Trump arrived in Beijing for crucial talks, China arrested 3 prominent African-American athletes. It would be awful if this became a racial issue today back home. A new element could be introduced into the deal-making at the heart of presidential mission to East Asia, and these youths have a following. They all have head shots from UCLA (snip) If the Chinese wish to use this incident for bargaining leverage (and why wouldn’t they?), they could exchange lenient treatment of the matter, as an “administration violation,” which sounds non-criminal. But either way, the 3 men can be
Former CBS journalist Dan Rather appeared on NBC "Today" on Tuesday where he lamented on the American people´s lack of trust in the media. "There’s a recent poll that said nearly half of people think the media make up stories," host Savannah Guthrie noted. "The media itself is under fire." "What do you think the media needs to do better to enhance its own credibility?" she asked. "We need to do a better job, we need to do our job. Our job is to bear witness, to be honest brokers of information, to be as accurate and fair as we possibly can," Rather
If standard practices are applied, the three UCLA basketball players – including LiAngelo Ball – arrested Tuesday in mainland China under suspicion of shoplifting face between three and 10 years in prison if convicted, according to Chinese lawyers who briefed Yahoo Sports on the applicable laws. The sentencing guidelines could shift depending on the amount that the Chinese could prove was allegedly stolen. Authorities believe the players shoplifted from a Louis Vuitton store near the UCLA team hotel outside of Shanghai. The Bruins are in China to play Georgia Tech on Saturday in the season opener. The players were arrested Tuesday
When California lawmakers return to the Capitol in January, the state chapter of the NAACP will be seeking their support for a campaign to remove “The Star-Spangled Banner” as the national anthem. The organization last week began circulating among legislative offices two resolutions that passed at its state conference in October: one urging Congress to rescind “one of the most racist, pro-slavery, anti-black songs in the American lexicon” as the national anthem, and another in support of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who launched a protest movement against police brutality among professional athletes by kneeling when “The Star-Spangled
The Democratic party was “leeched it of its vitality” by Former President Barack Obama and others in the lead-up to the 2016 election campaign, according to Donna Brazile, former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee. “We had three Democratic parties: The party of Barack Obama, the party of Hillary Clinton, and this weak little vestige of a party led by [Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz] that was doing a very poor job getting people who were not president elected,” Brazile writes in her new book “Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns That Put Donald Trump in
Joe Biden writes in his new book that President Barack Obama once told him he would have appointed him president if he could and told him he´d "be the best president." The former vice president´s memoir Promise Me, Dad, delves into the death of his son Beau from brain cancer in 2015 and his ultimate decision to not seek the Democratic presidential nomination. In an interview with the New York Times, Biden said the subject of his son´s illness weighed on him and the president, whom he confided in as it became clear Beau would likely not survive. "Barack said:
Maybe it was that whole “low energy” thing. In surprisingly undiplomatic terms for elder statesmen, George W. Bush and his father, George H.W. Bush, bash President Trump in a soon-to-be released book. While both of the former presidents vowed when they left office not to speak ill of their successors — a pledge they’ve kept for the most part — there’s just something about Donald J. Trump that they can’t stand. (Snip) “You can either exploit the anger, incite it, or you can come up with ideas to deal with it.” Jeb offered real solutions, “but it didn’t fit with
Hillary Clinton is in secret negotiations with Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous Russian dossier, to purchase a second report that allegedly contains salacious new charges against President Trump, according to several sources with personal knowledge of the transaction. The talks with Steele, a former British spy, are being carried out by Hillary´s former campaign aides, who do not hide their bitterness over the shocking loss of the White House to Donald Trump, these sources say. ´Hillary´s people have been secretly in touch with Steele and are close to making a deal with him on opposition research that he claims has
Former President Bill Clinton believes Trump voters were particularly vulnerable to false claims, or fake news, because they felt economically trapped in their rural communities. “In the last election, in the counties that Hillary carried, you find 64 percent of America’s GDP. In the more numerous, rural counties carried by President Trump, you find 36 percent of the GDP, even though the median income of a Trump voter was higher. What does that tell you?” Clinton told a crowd gathered at Georgetown University Monday afternoon. “Even poor people are more hopeful if they’re in a dynamic place,” Clinton said. “Being trapped with
The wife of Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Brent Grimes claimed Tuesday morning the Oakland Raiders offensive line allowed Derek Carr to get hurt because he did not join the anthem protests. Miko Grimes made an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” where she emphatically claimed the star quarterback’s views on the anthem protests led to his offensive line allowing him to get crushed. She even went further and said his views led to locker room fights. “A lot of people don’t know, but the reason Derek Carr got injured was because the Raiders offensive line allowed him to get injured,” Miko
The results are in and New Jersey and Virginia have elected new Democratic governors. In New Jersey, former Goldman Sachs executive and Ambassador to Germany Phil Murphy expectedly defeated Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno by an estimated margin of as many as 14 points, and in Virginia, Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam defeated former Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie by an estimated 7-to-8-point margin. Surely, New Jersey’s swing to a Democratic governor is a product of an unpopular outgoing Republican governor, Chris Christie, and President Trump’s unpopularity in the state as well. Further, outgoing Republican Governor Christie has the dubious status as New Jersey’s
A juror taking part in the bribery trial of Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., interrupted deliberations Tuesday to ask the presiding judge: "What is a senator?" U.S. District Judge William Walls refused to answer the juror´s question and similarly denied their request for a transcript of the closing argument from Menendez’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, per Bloomberg. Instead, the federal judge instructed the jurors to rely on their individual and collective memories to define the role of a senator and remember important points from Lowell´s final address. Jury deliberations began in Newark on Monday to determine whether Menendez is guilty of federal
