Why did the New York Times go after Harvey
Weinstein, one of its own?

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

Has nobody else noted the movie project apparently being dropped with Harvey out of the picture? When the New York Times story on Harvey Weinstein´s sexual predation broke, I speculated that the reason the Times would go after a stalwart Dem donor was the irresistible nature of the scoop, and the prospect of it being lost, once the "O´Connor Memo" (an internal Weinstein Company report) was being leaked. Rabbi Aryeh Spero, a regular AT contributor, has a different perspective and emailed me: My opinion: He was no longer truly one of their own. At the annual Algemeiner Dinner in NYC, Weinstein openly praised

Comments:
This would certainly explain things. Democrats never expose eachother for corruption unless there is an ulterior, political motive. That the "silence" of all these women should suddenly, magically, cease has always been the big question mark about this... why now?

The Rabbi is spot on. NYT and other leftist rags covered for this predator for years knowing full well the truth. Couldn´t do without his millions in donations. Reminds one of Planned Parenthood and the dem party. 20 some odd million goes to the dems from PP each election cycle.

This is a very plausible explanation. The left does not tolerate discension especially when it comes to the belief that Israel does not have a right to defend herself. Mila 18 by Leon Uris is a powerful story that if Weinstein has indeed in the pipeline would be in direct conflict with the anti-Israel dogma that is prevalent on the left. It paints a clear picture of Jewish resistence which is anathema to the left. Jews are expected to die on command and shut up about it. Telling the story could change a lot of hearts and minds. Actually, this explanation makes a lot of sense when you think why the exposure now when he was such a pig for decades. With so much Muslim money flowing into the entertainment industry, this would not surprise me. Ultimately, the left believes women are useful throwaways when their guy is toeing the line. The rub comes when he dares to defend the Jewish State´s right to exist and defend itself, that cannot be tolerated. An accurate depiction of Mila 18 will never make it to the big screen. It would trigger too much Jewish pride and determination.

The Clinton empire is collapsing. The era of the Clintons is over, but they´re not quite done kicking yet. They’ve lost their mojo and there are a LOT of people who gave a ton of money to them for influence and access who have gone through the phases off asking “what the Hell happened” to “where the Hell is my money!” to realizing it’s vaporized! Now they’re entering the screw ’em and destroy ’em phase starting with their facilitators of which Harvey was one of the biggest! Stay tuned aaaannnnd pass the popcorn!

Nah -- he is getting old, looks disgusting, and his income was falling rapidly. He is therefore no longer sexually attractive to aspiring actresses. The NYT wanted to be first in their expose, but they delayed it until his empire was beginning to crumble. They would never have published (and the girls would not allow their names to be used) it if his empire was continuing to expand.

This reasoning makes sense and it might just be Weinstein´s pro-Israel stance except for Weinstein´s going after the NRA, which doesn´t make sense. My theory is Weinstein made a statement to Bill or Hillary about Hillary´s loss; Harvey refused to give money to Hillary for her future or he made a derogatory statement about her loss, something along those lines. There is no greater wrath than Hillary´s scorn, even to the Marxist machine´s biggest bundler. Whatever the reason, the Marxist power elitist have demonstrated to their posse of really good pretenders (which is one third of their propaganda power structure of media-entertainment-education) that they must and will stay in line. The Streep´s, Judd´s, et al who immediately came out against Harvey and were "shocked, shocked I tell you" about Harvey´s Bill-capades was merely them telling the Marxist machine, "Yes, we will obey and please don´t destroy us too," whether they know it or not (and they´re no doubt, way too stupid to know that´s what they did). In addition, according to his reactions to all this, Harvey is also too stupid to know what just hit him, whether the reason is Israel or some other theory like mine.

#1, during last year alone, PP donated $38 million to the demonrat party and various leftist candidates.

But the left screams about the NRA giving $3.5 million to Republicans over the last 20 years.

When corrupt Democrats expose other corrupt Democrats you can be sure they are not doing it because of "sexual harassment". We learned that during Kennedy, we learned that during Clinton, and we learned that during Felonia´s campaign. They couldn´t care less.

Good comments all. This also explains why top liberals all march in lockstep on every liberal issue. You can´t believe in one fantasy without following them all.

Also there´s the fact that Weinstein gave some money to the democrats but it wasn´t a fortune if you consider his wealth, while some of his "victims" were huge hollywood superstars like Paltrow and Jolie.

#14 to add to your conments, there is also a big difference between the hand up the skirt to touching private parts and accepted areas like breasts. There is also grabbing and forcing sexual acts which constitutes assault, which is criminal. Weinstein mixed this with economic threats and the use of his lower to drag reputations through the mud.

Given this article as the real reason why he was read out of the lib crowd, I hope we all know the true demonic face of the enemy.

And unlike others, I believe he will not have a second or third act...he won´t come back from Europe and may meet an untimely end, which would sanitize him for the Hollyweirds. Conveniently.

Look for the left to use Weinstein to rally the female vote. Somebody on the left (Soros? Obama?) did not want to share power with Weinstein. Also see this as a move away from the Clintons. Somebody wants to take the Democrat party even further left than it already is.

Just as the Kennedys, Clinton, Cosby and many other liberal Dems.... they know they will be protected by the MSM until there is no longer an influence needed. dont tell me Hillary, Obama, and all those starlets are just now hearing about this. They knew. They accepted it, because they were getting something out of him for their silence. I think the one that disgusts me the most though is Ashley Judd. OK, this explains it.

The most important thing for the leftist´s long term success is to disarm the populace. Cannot have a big movie showing how a few brave Jews could stop the Nazis with literally just a few guns, and save huge numbers of lives.

Anything necessary to keep the leftist´s push for disarming Normals on track.

The destruction of Wine-Stein is just too well orchestrated, too well coordinated to have happened on its own.
I also was wondering ´Why Now?´ when Wine-Stein has obviously been abusing females for decades. My guess was that he was preparing to somehow place a toe off the ´Rat reservation. I note a similar pattern with Bill Cosby. Cosby was fine until he started telling the blacks to ´Pull Up Your Pants´, then he was promptly destroyed.
Seems to me that the ´blueprint´ is almost exactly the same.

If Wine-Stein WAS talking about making a movie of Mila 18, that would explain a lot.

The point I take away from all of this is that the news/´entertainment´ business is controlled by evil people. Destroying Wine-Stein is just the latest example of the power-behind-the-green-curtain reminding everyone ´in the know´ of what will happen to any one of THEM who steps out of line.

It was the cackle that cost her an election. The time was the 80s and the First Lady of Arkansas was chatting with Roy Reed. Reed was a New York Times bigwig, a civil rights hero and is currently a speaker for the Clinton School of Public Service. Back then, Reed was working on a profile of the Clintons for Esquire. The profile was never published. The tapes of the interviews were stowed at the University of Arkansas until they were dug up in ’14. Things could get a whole lot more interesting if Kimberley Strassel is correct in her research and analysis of how the Clinton Campaign paid for the creation of the “Steele Dossier”, pushed it to the FBI, and then used their influence to generate media coverage of it. There’s a lot more questions to be asked; a lot more. The basic outline as it appears is: Clinton paid for the sketchy dossier to be put together; then pushed it to the FBI (Sally Yates); who then used it to open a counter-intelligence investigation; which was then used to begin wiretaps etc.

The major developing stories this week have been so scantily and poorly covered in the mainstream press that you may want an easy primer. To fully understand it you have to look at alternative media because just as Harvey Weinstein counted on complicit enablers -- his colleagues, victims and the press -- Hillary Clinton, Robert Mueller and a cast of characters, including a press determined to cover for them have hidden what occurred. It’s taken some time, to be sure, but the evidence of their wrongdoing is becoming harder and harder to hide. Stalling and misdirection are their last redoubt.

Perhaps as startling as the revelation that the FBI was investigating the Hillary Clinton/Russia/Uranium One collusion and that key figures like Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe knew about it and said nothing, is the refusal by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to remove the non-disclosure agreement gag order on the FBI informant who arguably could put Bill and Hillary Clinton and a few others in federal prison. Chelsea accessorized her look with a delicate gold necklace and her favorite patent leather pumps, which looked incredibly torn up after

Republican Sen. Jeff Flake says he would rather see a Democrat win Alabama’s open Senate seat than accused teen groper Roy Moore — and compared the GOP candidate to former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. “If the choice is between Roy Moore and a Democrat, if I were in Alabama I’d vote for the Democrat,” the Arizona senator?, who recently announced he would not seek reelection,? said Monday. “There was a time when Republican senators would go and campaign for a Democrat rather than seat a Republican who would be so repugnant to the party and would diminish the party’s chances

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) said on Friday that if the allegations against Alabama candidate for U.S. Senate Roy Moore are true, he should step aside, and “should be dealt with severely.” But Graham not only hasn’t called for Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez (N.J.), accused of having sex with underage prostitutes, to step aside — he also went to New Jersey on his own dime two weeks ago to testify as a character witness in Menendez’s corruption trial, telling the judge that Menendez is “very honest” and “honorable.” The Washington Post published a story on Thursday quoting a woman named

Known for his insightful take on politics, journalist and author Thomas Wictor believes Judge Roy Moore’s signature in Gloria Allred accuser Beverly Young Nelson’s yearbook is a forgery. (Photo) The sevens in 1977 to the right of “Christmas,” are very different from the sevens in the date (12-22-77) above “Old Hickory House.” “Look at the two versions of the number “7,” tweeted Wictor. “”12-22-77” and “Olde Hickory House” were written by a different person,” he added. Next, Wictor points out “the “R” and “y” in “Roy,”” are not written the same way. The inflection of the “Y” is more pronounced

Texas woman Roslyn Corrigan claims that former President George H.W. Bush groped her when she was just 16 years old. According to Corrigan, the groping occurred in November of 2003 at an event in The Woodlands, Texas. This is the sixth woman to publicly accuse the 41st president of grabbing her butt without consent. Speaking to Time magazine, Corrigan, who is now in her early 30s, said, “My initial action was absolute horror. I was really, really confused. The first thing I did was look at my mom and, while he was still standing there, I didn’t say anything,” she

Sen. Cory Gardner, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said the Senate should vote to expel Roy Moore if the Alabama GOP Senate candidate wins the Dec. 12 election. "I believe the individuals speaking out against Roy Moore spoke with courage and truth, proving he is unfit to serve in the United States Senate and he should not run for office," Gardner wrote in a statement. "If he refuses to withdraw and wins, the Senate should vote to expel him, because he does not meet the ethical and moral requirements of the United States Senate." ORIGINAL STORY: Senate

On Monday, Keurig CEO Bob Gamgort issued a memorandum to employees denouncing his own company’s Twitter announcement that it had pulled advertising from Sean Hannity’s television program on Fox News. That advertising pullout came in the wake of an astroturfed campaign from Media Matters based on false allegations that Hannity expressed support for child molestation and had attacked sexual assault accusers. The pullout led to a massive backlash on Twitter, where Keurig owners began smashing their machines and announcing that they would boycott the company. Finally, Gamgort responded thusly: (Tweet) Gamgort acknowledged that normally they would “pause” advertising on a

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is said to be considering appointing a second special counsel to investigate issues related to former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, former FBI Director James Comey, and the Obama administration. Sessions´ contemplation comes after the House Judiciary Chairman urged him to look into Comey´s handling of the FBI´s investigation into Clinton´s email use, the 2010 Uranium One deal, and the Clinton Foundation. Trump has repeatedly called Sessions a "weak" attorney general and pushed him to investigate Clinton and the Democrats as the FBI investigates Trump and his campaign for possible collusion with Moscow during the 2016
