Knowingly exposing others to HIV
will no longer be a felony in California

Los Angeles Times, by Patrick McGreevy

Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill Friday that lowers from a felony to a misdemeanor the crime of knowingly exposing a sexual partner to HIV without disclosing the infection. The measure also applies to those who give blood without telling the blood bank that they are HIV-positive. Modern medicine allows those with HIV to live longer lives and nearly eliminates the possibility of transmission, according to state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) and Assemblyman Todd Gloria (D-San Diego), authors of the bill. “Today California took a major step toward treating HIV as a public health issue, instead of treating people living

Also applies to donating AIDS-tainted blood. Note that Snopes misleading states this change in the law is not true.

They also just passed a law to drop thousands of sex offenders off the lifetime registry.
Some are old and outdated, like two men caught in a park or something, but I cannot see how this is a good thing. The police said the current registry was too large and hard to search! Geez.

Every new doctor I have seen, mostly specialists use and extensive survey. They want to know much, including if you are HIV+ or have AIDS. It´s for everybodies protection. Brown has succumbed to the Gaystapo. Remember when SF shut down all bathhouses? No doubt they are open again. Brown is literally killing California.

Poster #10, don´t forget TB.

Once almost completely eradicated in this country, illegal aliens bring in strains that are antibiotic-resistant.

A sane country would seal the border, test every entrant, deport all invaders and infected people.

California welcomes them with open arms, even in the schools with their own young children.

Every time an illegal is caught he or she should be given the full panel of vaccinations required of all other foreigners visiting America.

Or, they can carry certified shot cards.

Now, about treating transmission of AIDS as a minor misdemeanor, why not leave the level of punishment UP TO THE VICTIMS.

Somebody gives you AIDS then you get to have him punished as you wish.

It´s only fair.

This is homicidal/suicidal insanity.

There is NO cure for HIV/AIDS. As such, anyone who knowingly engages in unprotected sex either consensual or against one´s will is a death sentence for the victim. It should be considered a felony and 1st degree murder if and when the person dies of HIV/AID complications. No statute of limitations for murder.

Where is the medical community on this?

The gay community, both men and women should be very concerned.

Where is LGBTQ on this? I thought Moonbeam was strongly supported by this community.
