Two Republican parties confront
each other – and tax reform

The media news narrative exiting Alabama’s GOP Senate runoff was that the selection of firebrand Judge Roy Moore as the Republican candidate for the December general election will probably cause radical changes in his party’s control of the U.S. Senate. Hold on. There are certain to be changes that complicate Republicans’ midterm election outlook. But they’re actually due to a variety of unusual reasons including chronic party disunity, not just Moore’s likely arrival on Capitol Hill come January. All this turmoil, including an unpredictable, deeply unpopular President Donald Trump vowing to do deals with Democrats,

What´s wrong with President Trump doing deals with Democrats? After all Boehner, Mc Connoly, Graham, Ryan and dozens of other GOP officials have been doing it for years and not for the good of the country or the people!!

Malcolm hit the ‘send’ button b4 he finished this 1/2 article that just states a few facts. He does not question McConnell’s judgement in wasting ‘$9 million’ in the Alabama primary race, instead of saving it for a fight eith democrats. He does not conclude that the UniParty is fighting the current minority of America-first non-globalist republicans.

Two republican parties--

The GOP/RINOs beholden to the money people who don´t do a damn thing they promised who angers the rest of the republicans, and those who are trying to swim against them and who get discounted at every turn.

And then there´s the PEOPLE otherwise known as the BASE, who have been screwed over at every attempt because so many of the "Tea Party" conservatives get turned into RINOs.

So many just get tired of fighting being put down and just go along. It used to be "go along to get along" but now it is just "go along or Yertle McConnell and RYANO will spay those who oppose "the leadership".

The people spoke up in Alabama, and Mr. Trump even was wondering in hindsight if he had backed the wrong horse in the race trying to appease RYANO/Yertle

Who knew when that walking tattoo billboard discovered social injustice in America last winter what a kneeling mess it would become for NFL players, the league and owners. The emotional controversy touches on patriotism, the flag, veterans, fallen troops, invited a tweeting president to stoke the flames, slashed TV ratings and, once again, aimed fire at Roger Goodell. [Snip] Unbeknownst to millions of fans and viewers on all sides, Goodell’s wife, Jane Skinner, has been secretly supporting hubby all over the digital battlefield of Twitter. Any human communications can be tricky, polluted by bias, expectations, assumptions, many things. Nowhere are such communications more delicate — or important — than between media and political leaders in a free society, in this case the Trump White House and the press corps assigned there to gather and deliver accurate news to Americans. Chief of Staff John Kelly gave his first news briefing Thursday, a refreshingly genial, candid and succinct appearance for the Trump White House. What Trump’s Iran decision really means

President Trump’s decision to decertify the Iran nuclear deal may or may not accomplish anything with that rogue nation’s ambitions to develop weapons of mass destruction and sow regional rebellion. But it certainly hands Congress a very hot falafel. It’s a similar move to Trump earlier this year handing over to Congress the DACA mess, aimed at deporting the grown children of illegal immigrants. ‘Here, I did my part, you guys handle throwing these folks out.’ Both moves allow Trump to check off two more campaign promises. [Snip] Sending it to Congress now is actually a compromise within the administration

The clock is ticking. It’s getting closer. Only 1,118 days until Election Day in 2020. So, naturally pollster thoughts turn to Nov. 3, 2020 and how the most clickable, news-making political personality in a long while might do. Oh, sure, worry warts and precision proponents will suggest a few things might occur to affect voters’ decision between now and then. [Snip] And, OK, Trump’s barely 19% of the way through a first term. So, even though most Americans seem to have an opinion about this man, the YouGov/Economist polling folks asked Republicans: Do you want Donald Trump to run for

Golf magazine is suggesting President Trump may have been an unknowing party to some fake news, of the real golfing variety. On Monday, a federal holiday, the commander-in-chief invited a former competitor for the GOP presidential nomination, Sen. Pretty soon, it could be NFL team owners on their knees begging TV viewers to come back. Once again in Week 4 of the 2017 season, as players continued their sitting-kneeling protests against something, former fans silently exercised their right of free speech using TV remotes. Despite the always insightful, candid commentary of Jon Gruden, this week’s Monday Night game on ESPN lost audience again. It was actually a pretty good game, by all accounts. Stand by for security pat-downs just to enter your resort hotel. It didn’t take long after Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas for resort hotels there to begin implementing new, far more strict security screenings simply to enter the building. Hotel guests at Wynn’s resort stood in line with a 10-minute wait to be screened. That’s likely to become a new normal as the country’s worst mass shooting forces major tourist meccas to radically re-imagine potential threats and expand their thinking about security against a new range of threats. As they did at any airport before boarding their flights to Vegas this week, patrons of Wynn’s

Some Georgia high school football players had an inspiring little protest of their own this weekend. And it involved running, not kneeling. While pro National Football League players were locking arms and taking a knee across the country to protest someone or something or other, these high school players decided to exercise their freedom of speech a little differently in their country by celebrating America instead of criticizing it. The entire Fannin County Rebel team ran onto the field together, each player carrying a large U.S. flag. The patriotic display happened before their game with the Greater Atlanta Christian School

Hillary Clinton slammed what she called "endemic" sexism and misogyny in America during an interview with Fareed Zakaria, which aired Sunday. Clinton, who was interviewed by Zakaria on his show, "GPS," said sexism was so inherent that she purposely hadn´t highlighted her career history of fighting for women´s rights when she ran for president in 2016. Clinton was embarking on a foreign trip to promote her book “What Happened.” She said people should resist “what are very clear dog-whistles” to the Trump base, pointing to the example of kneeling NFL players. “That´s what black athletes kneeling was all about,” she said in response to a question about ways to

The story has laid bare the hypocrisy of the media giants, Democratic biggies, and the Hollywood virtue signalers.

Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance under the collective bargaining agreement for collusion against NFL team owners, reports Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report. Kaepernick has hired high-profile attorney Mark Geragos and is preparing to release a statement about his grievance soon, added Freeman. The free-agent quarterback has remained unemployed since his release by the San Francisco 49ers in March and has garnered little interest from teams around the league. This has caused some to suggest he´s being blackballed for his national anthem protests during the 2016 season. Kaepernick appeared in 12 games for 49ers in 2016, throwing for 2,241 yards with

Well, it knows where President Trump literally is: the White House usually, if not one of his resorts. The newspaper board means where is he on Twitter — or as the board says, “How many times has Trump tweeted about the fires since they were whipped by winds into life-threatening force early Monday: zero.” Zero, true, as of early Sunday evening. As the Chronicle notes, Trump did speak once, offline, about the fires. A few days ago, he promised to “stand with” Californians and said he’s in touch with the governor —
