Trump says criticism of NFL protests
´has nothing to do with race´

The Hill, by Mallory Shelborne

President Trump said Sunday that his criticism of NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem “has nothing to do with race,” but rather is about respect for the U.S. and the flag. “This has nothing to do with race. I never said anything about race. This has nothing to do with race or anything else. This has to do with respect for our country and respect for our flag,” Trump said on the tarmac of Morristown Municipal Airport, per White House pool reports. The president’s comments come as NFL players across the country protested during the national anthem

The players and owners have done more to divide our nation than the KKK. They disrespect out flag and Nation while promoting Black Lives Matters a terrorist organization. If they want to protest fine just on your own time.

I for one will not watch another NFL football game or support it´s sponsors until this madness stops.......this goes for the NBA to.

Time to bring the American hating NFL down! Turn them off.

NFL RULES

The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It states:

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

“During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition...

...It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Ok, I cant be the Lone Ranger here. Is anyone else sick to death of the phrase "took a knee"? It was never heard until a couple weeks ago. Now you hear it every two minutes. It seems to be the fun thing for media to say anymore, like "moving forward" "homophobia" "Islamophobia" "Dreamer" and about a dozen others.
Took a knee? Who from? Give it back so he can walk!

So, the NFL already has a rule. Thanx #4. Gotta wonder why the Roger Goodell never brought this up. Apparently the NFL doesn´t want to follow their own rules if it´s inconvenient or not politically correct - much like the Obama Administration.

The NFL wants to go their own way, fine.
I certainly hope there are no more flyovers, no more military color guard. No more tax exemptions and tax breaks.

No more looking the other way at domestic violence abuse, illegal gun possession or drug possession. No more on or off duty cops working security. They pay their own way.

As far as I´m concerned, they´re just another form of soccer now.

Thanks, #4, for showing all the rules. Until the owners enforce the rules, the players will continue their insubordination. The owners are terrified of their players and they know it.

For these insubordinate unpatriotic jerks, I want them drafted by an ISIS football league. I might even watch video of what happens to them when they lose! It makes my blood boil that they are clueless as to the fortunate circumstances they are reaping treasure from and that the owners paying them are mostly allowing them to be disrespectful. Perhaps for one, I think I would enjoy a star being fired, on the field, and the second string guy given a chance. Tomorrow, as I have heard that Jerry Jones has banned disrespect, I may watch the Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

Special prosecutors, investigators, and counsels are usually a bad idea. They are admissions that constitutionally mandated institutions don’t work — and can be rescued only by supposed superhuman moralists, who are without the innate biases inherent in human nature. The record from Lawrence Walsh to Ken Starr to Patrick Fitzgerald suggests otherwise. Originally narrow mandates inevitably expand — on the cynical theory that everyone has something embarrassing to hide. Promised “short” timelines and limited budgets are quickly forgotten. Prosecutors search for ever new crimes to justify the expense and public expectations of the special-counsel appointment. Soon the investigators need to
