players who kneel: The President escalates

hundreds of players take the field

President Donald Trump has called for fans to boycott the NFL if players don´t stop ´disrespecting´ the US by kneeling during the national anthem - as his rant continues to draw backlash from high profile athletes. Trump had earlier denounced the protests by NFL players and rescinded a White House invitation for NBA champion Stephen Curry in a two day rant that targeted top professional athletes and brought swift condemnation from league executives and star players alike on Saturday. Early Sunday morning, Trump continued his Twitter tirade and called for an NFL boycott. ´If NFL fans refuse to go to games until

Little Emily lost me in the first paragraph. His post wasn’t a “rant.” And he rescinded the invitation after Curry was trying to make hay by pretending he might not go. Trump essentially said “Don’t bother. Your invitation is cancelled."

Once again.......the Constitution only prohibits the Government from impinging upon free speech. Individuals and institutions are not bound by this amendment. The NFL or my daughters lemonaid stand can fire you for ´conduct unbecoming´ all day long and twice on game day.

The average NASCAR driver makes 10 times what the average NFL player earns. How come they are sitting in their car for the anthem an no one complains about them? That car is not going anywhere without them.

I think POTUS screwed up on this one.

People who think this topic is "silly" have obviously never served in the armed forces of the United States and saw first hand how other countries treat their people. Those players who disrespect our flag would just as easily kneel down for ISIS and have their stupid heads sawed off. I predict this week will be the lowest ratings week ever for the NFL. Yes to October 15th, not that there was a chance in hell that I would watch one of their games anyway.

NFL fans pay a lot of money to watch professional football players play the game of football. They don´t pay their money to watch those millionaire football players disrespect the National Anthem and the country.

When on the sidelines during the opening ceremonies at football games those players are employees of the team owners and coaches who hired them. As employees they must follow the rules and regulations that are imposed by the owners and coaches. So the owners and coaches have the ball on that issue. Appeasing political actors on the sidelines will not make their emphasis on disrespecting the National Anthem and the country go away. So don´t be surprised if those disrespectful actions do not move onto the football playing field during the games. Again it will be the owners and coaches will have to make a business decision soon because the NFL behind the scenes is all about money.

Bottom line, a big target of those leftist protests are the local police who maintain law and order in African-American communities and big cities across the country. What would those places look like if the police were no longer there arresting violent criminals?

I may be wrong, but I think we can trace this latest craze back to Obama and his Justice Dept. It started when they pushed the "Hands Up, Don´t Shoot" lie and sports players swallowed it hook line and sinker. Obama never did tell them the truth. I wouldn´t be surprised if he is at it again from his bunker. The get out the vote meme for 2020 will be that Trump is a white supremacist. The same gullible people will believe him again.

October 15th - sounds good to me -

but why not start right now?

I just checked our local tv schedule on the cable tv guide - the Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills - perfect!

Aqib Talib of the Denver Broncos viciously facemasked Corey Brown of the Carolina Panthers during the 2016 Super Bowl.

It would be beautiful if they had a lot of empty seats today.

Well excuse me, if you compare the country with the NFL, you might as well compare compare it to the Dollar Store!! Idiotic self aggrandizing mooks both the anti-American players and their team mates who stand by and say nothing.

#11 The NASCAR of which I am not a fan, are ready to do what they are there to do, they are not in the car our of disrespect to the country. Why don´t you write a letter to NASCAR and ask the question and perhaps you will get a better answer or you might single handedly make a change to something that no one had previously noticed or thought about. Those drivers probably never even thought for a second that they were in their cars out of disrespect nor did the PRO AMERICA fans.

I love it now they are saying Trump is disrespectful for saying something about overpaid athletes that are being disrespectful to America.
Our liberals make up somewhat less than half of the population, but make noise like they are a majority.
If good Americans stop supporting professional sports for just a few months the owners will be forced financially to take the proper action and support America.
Owners and coaches are afraid of their athletes.
For the most part the athletes are below average intelligence, but think they are smart because they make so much money. Most of them are out of money within a couple of years after getting let go. That shows just how smart they are.
I for one will boycott every professional sport on TV because that´s were they get most of their revenue.
They can detect how many people are watching a game and pay the NFL based on viewer numbers.

For those of you to embarrassed now to admit you have the NFL Sunday Ticket here´s the deal. You can´t cancel 2017 and get a partial refund to late to cancel. Further you can´t opt out of the auto/renewal for 2018 until the end of the 2017 season which I will do. I had to chat with a Directv service rep to find out here´s part of that chat:

"thanks so much for the info, I was checking on this for you, the option to stop the auto renewal will be available when this season ends, so we´ll be able to stop the auto renewal.
Andres P: We will also be sending emails prior next season starts to avoid auto renewals"

So Directv knows there will be some non renewals for 2018! So screw the leftist Goodell and the NFL owners siding with him. The leftists that are howling about President Trump´s right on comments don´t go to NFL games or even watch them on TV.

But it is sheer silliness for the President of the United States to get so time-wastingly and heavily involved.

Millions of veterans and their families agree and should support the boycott of every team/game where a player wants to kneel or make their "black power" sign. Thousands of other ways they can make their personal statements.

Before getting into their cars, NASCAR drivers and their teams stand by their cars for the national anthem, which follows the invocation. Many times when their families are at the track, they stand along side them. Some of the car owners do as well.

Fans in the stands rise, men remove their hats, and many bring their own flag to wave as they sing along.

#42 is right.

Now the Pittsburgh Steelers aren´t going to be on the field for the National Anthem.

On one side, they are not allowing their players to kneel, but they aren´t present for the Anthem and that is wrong too.

All of this crap has to let up. The division is going to escalate even further.

A part of me thinks the Anthem should be pulled from any home stadium where the players refuse to stand... But that is what the libs have wanted from the get go.

I loathe liberals.

Perfect example of what I was saying way back before the election. The reason the left hates trump is because he´s a hardcore moral authority who´s not afraid to tell the whiny left where to go. Obama would never have stuck his nose in the NFL mess,he probably would have encouraged it.People in Obama´s state dept.would have dropped dead if if he called lil Kim rocket man. They hated it just as bad if not worse when Palin stepped up just because she´s a woman. This country was really on the path to hell until Trump came along. It´ll take the rest of this and next term to flush out the rest of the nonsense like the deep state undermining his agenda.

Go Trump,go Judge Moore.Let´s put the Ten Commandments back in plain view!

If you don´t stand for the anthem & flag, what do you stand for? I admire Trump for standing for his country. He´s not asking them to stand up him but stand for the 2 biggest symbols representing the US. The media, Hollywood, NFL , emmys, academy awards, music awards are all an embarrassment to the country. Not standing is a slap in the face to the military .

Maybe the NFL should think about changing their logo, as it appears to stand today, clearly the NFL would not want to keep a logo that appears to derive from the colors that make up the American flag.

ANOTHER nail in the coffin of Project Fear. It is becoming increasingly clear that the constituent countries of the EU as well as the bloc itself are exceedingly keen to strike a trade deal: the Prime Minister will today hail the most wide-ranging agreement in Anglo-French history. And significantly, while it does not specifically cover Brexit, it does mention a comprehensive agenda, covering everything from space exploration to the Bayeux Tapestry. This is proof, if it were needed, that Brexit is no bar to continuing good relations with our EU counterparts, to say nothing of the fact that we have a

A Republican senator disputed on Thursday that Donald Trump is a racist, following reports about the president describing majority-black countries as ´s***holes´ amid tense immigration negotiations. Trump is ´absolutely not´ driven by racial animus, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said on CNN, after flatly asking an interviewer to pose the question. And as the West Wing decided this week how flexible to be on immigration issues, he claimed, he got bad advice from the people around him. The ´s***hole´ snipe, which Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin claimed was directed at Haiti and African nations, shouldn´t be taken as evidence of racial prejudice, Graham explained. ´You

ISIS has released a new propaganda video depicting a full-scale invasion of Washington DC. The five-minute movie, released on social media by pro-ISIS group Abd al Faqir Media, shows an army of terrorists surging through the city streets while ISIS jets race through the skies above. It starts with an edited scene taken from Hollywood blockbuster London Has Fallen showing a jihadi blowing up a bridge while crossing in a van packed with explosives as cars fall into the river below. The video then takes the viewer through the stages of invasion, showing the Mujahideen arriving on the outskirts of the city

A fresh inquest into the death of Stuart Lubbock, found dead at the home of entertainer Michael Barrymore in 2001, has been blocked by the Attorney General. Mr Lubbock´s father submitted the request to Jeremy Wright under the Coroners Act 1988 requesting a new inquest into the death of on the grounds of new evidence. But today Wright blocked the application citing a lack of sufficient admissible evidence. The Attorney General´s Office said in a statement: ´After careful consideration, the Attorney General Jeremy Wright QC MP has decided not to provide his authority for an application to be made to the High Court

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly acknowledged Wednesday that President Donald Trump has ´changed´ his position on major campaign pledges like the border wall that was supposed to stretch from sea to shining sea. At a meeting on Wednesday with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on Capitol Hill Kelly reportedly said that some of Trump´s views were ´uninformed´ and and admitted that Mexico will not pay for a border structure. ´As we talked about things, where this president is and how much he wants to deal with this DACA issue and take it away,´ Kelly told Fox News later, ´I told them

AN explosion has rocked a police station in Malmo, Sweden forcing officers to lock down the area after a suspected hand grenade detonated. The explosion was caused by a hand grenade according to local news reports. The police have released a statement to say they were called by several people due to a loud bang. Police spokeswoman Anna Goransson said to the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet: “The place is locked off and the bombing group is on its way. President Trump spends a chunk of each day on the phone, whether it´s a White House landline or ´Trump One´ or ´Trump Two,´ the nicknames his aides have given to his two cell phones. CNN divulged more details about Trump´s habits during so-called ´executive time,´ a term used on the president´s schedule to indicate he´s doing work, but often from the Yellow Oval room, located in the residence. Axios first reported that ´executive time´ was taking up more and more of Trump´s ´shrinking´ schedule, suggesting it was time spent on Twitter and watching TV, and not in the Oval Office being productive.

WASHINGTON- President Donald Trump relentlessly congratulates himself for the healthy state of the U.S. economy, with its steady growth, low unemployment, busier factories and confident consumers. But in the year since Trump´s inauguration, most analysts tend to agree on this: The economy remains essentially the same sturdy one he inherited from Barack Obama.Growth has picked up, but it´s not yet clear if it can sustain a faster expansion. Hiring and wage growth actually slowed slightly from Obama´s last year in office. Consumers and businesses are much more optimistic, but their spending has yet to move meaningfully higher. Republicans are slamming Democratic Sen. Cory Booker for “mansplaining” to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen in a sharp and one-sided exchange Wednesday before a Senate committee. The New Jersey lawmaker blasted Nielsen´s "silence and amnesia" after failing to get the response he sought on her recollection of statements President Trump made in a meeting last week. Booker´s hostile tone prompted Republican National Committee Rapid Response Director Michael Ahrens to invoke the millennial term for males talking down to women.

A crazed, bug-eyed Cory Booker, junior senator from New Jersey, blasted Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristjen Nielsen during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday on immigration. Booker became so unhinged in his staged outrage that he repeatedly threatened Nielsen, with clenched fists pointed in her direction. Equal to Booker´s overt violation of Nielsen´s right to be treated without hostility and intimidation was the deranged content of his tirade. Nielsen had stated earlier she did not hear the president say the "s-hole" word at last week´s White House meeting on DACA. Booker went ballistic and accused Nielsen of covering up

Men can now look forward to a liberated future of wearing dresses. One such fashion designer, Alejandro Gomez Palomo of Spain, is helping to rush in that new era. According to the 25-year-old Palomo, whose public appearance looks as if Dracula spent a weekend at Liberace´s house, gender fluidity is a way of life he hopes that future men can share. In an interview with AFP, Palomo likened his fashion revolution to the ones ushered by Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent in the 20th century. Obama’s current office, which is run by former de facto President Valerie Jarrett, is just a mile or so from the White House. It is at that location one sees a daily procession of donors, political operatives, party affiliates (BOTH Democrat and Republican) media friends (of which there are many) and more shadowy figures representing a myriad of foreign interests. And each day this office and its two primary inhabitants – Obama and Jarrett, are asked the same question: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT TRUMP? Three-quarters of the members of a federally chartered board advising the National Park Service abruptly quit Monday night out of frustration that Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke had refused to meet with them or convene a single meeting last year. The resignation of nine out of 12 National Park System Advisory Board members leaves the federal government without a functioning body to designate national historic or natural landmarks. It also underscores the extent to which federal advisory bodies have become marginalized under the Trump administration. In May 2017, Zinke suspended all outside committees while his staff reviewed their composition and work. In a

Microwaves are as damaging to the environment as cars and users must be taught how to cook more efficiently, scientists say. The ovens are responsible for 7.7 million tons of the carbon dioxide pumped out from the EU each year — the equivalent of 6.8 million cars. Researchers say they are fueling global warming with consumers overcooking food to blame. Microwaves account for the largest percentage of sales of all types of oven in the EU, with numbers set to reach 135 million by 2020. But scientists at the University of Manchester — the first to assess the environmental impact

McCain called the Trump administration’s treatment of journalists “inconsistent at best and hypocritical at worst,” particularly when it comes to condemning attacks on the press abroad.
