President Donald Trump has called for fans to boycott the NFL if players don´t stop ´disrespecting´ the US by kneeling during the national anthem - as his rant continues to draw backlash from high profile athletes. Trump had earlier denounced the protests by NFL players and rescinded a White House invitation for NBA champion Stephen Curry in a two day rant that targeted top professional athletes and brought swift condemnation from league executives and star players alike on Saturday. Early Sunday morning, Trump continued his Twitter tirade and called for an NFL boycott. ´If NFL fans refuse to go to games until

Little Emily lost me in the first paragraph. His post wasn’t a “rant.” And he rescinded the invitation after Curry was trying to make hay by pretending he might not go. Trump essentially said “Don’t bother. Your invitation is cancelled."

FTA”...President Donald Trump has called for fans to boycott the NFL if players don´t stop ´disrespecting´ the US by kneeling during the national anthem - as his rant continues to draw backlash from high profile athletes.

Once again.......the Constitution only prohibits the Government from impinging upon free speech. Individuals and institutions are not bound by this amendment. The NFL or my daughters lemonaid stand can fire you for ´conduct unbecoming´ all day long and twice on game day.

The average NASCAR driver makes 10 times what the average NFL player earns. How come they are sitting in their car for the anthem an no one complains about them? That car is not going anywhere without them.

People who think this topic is "silly" have obviously never served in the armed forces of the United States and saw first hand how other countries treat their people. Those players who disrespect our flag would just as easily kneel down for ISIS and have their stupid heads sawed off. I predict this week will be the lowest ratings week ever for the NFL. Yes to October 15th, not that there was a chance in hell that I would watch one of their games anyway.

NFL fans pay a lot of money to watch professional football players play the game of football. They don´t pay their money to watch those millionaire football players disrespect the National Anthem and the country.

When on the sidelines during the opening ceremonies at football games those players are employees of the team owners and coaches who hired them. As employees they must follow the rules and regulations that are imposed by the owners and coaches. So the owners and coaches have the ball on that issue. Appeasing political actors on the sidelines will not make their emphasis on disrespecting the National Anthem and the country go away. So don´t be surprised if those disrespectful actions do not move onto the football playing field during the games. Again it will be the owners and coaches will have to make a business decision soon because the NFL behind the scenes is all about money.

Bottom line, a big target of those leftist protests are the local police who maintain law and order in African-American communities and big cities across the country. What would those places look like if the police were no longer there arresting violent criminals?

I may be wrong, but I think we can trace this latest craze back to Obama and his Justice Dept. It started when they pushed the "Hands Up, Don´t Shoot" lie and sports players swallowed it hook line and sinker. Obama never did tell them the truth. I wouldn´t be surprised if he is at it again from his bunker. The get out the vote meme for 2020 will be that Trump is a white supremacist. The same gullible people will believe him again.

but why not start right now?

I just checked our local tv schedule on the cable tv guide - the Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills - perfect!

Aqib Talib of the Denver Broncos viciously facemasked Corey Brown of the Carolina Panthers during the 2016 Super Bowl.

It would be beautiful if they had a lot of empty seats today.

Well excuse me, if you compare the country with the NFL, you might as well compare compare it to the Dollar Store!! Idiotic self aggrandizing mooks both the anti-American players and their team mates who stand by and say nothing.

#11 The NASCAR of which I am not a fan, are ready to do what they are there to do, they are not in the car our of disrespect to the country. Why don´t you write a letter to NASCAR and ask the question and perhaps you will get a better answer or you might single handedly make a change to something that no one had previously noticed or thought about. Those drivers probably never even thought for a second that they were in their cars out of disrespect nor did the PRO AMERICA fans.

I love it now they are saying Trump is disrespectful for saying something about overpaid athletes that are being disrespectful to America.
Our liberals make up somewhat less than half of the population, but make noise like they are a majority.
If good Americans stop supporting professional sports for just a few months the owners will be forced financially to take the proper action and support America.
Owners and coaches are afraid of their athletes.
For the most part the athletes are below average intelligence, but think they are smart because they make so much money. Most of them are out of money within a couple of years after getting let go. That shows just how smart they are.
I for one will boycott every professional sport on TV because that´s were they get most of their revenue.
They can detect how many people are watching a game and pay the NFL based on viewer numbers.

For those of you to embarrassed now to admit you have the NFL Sunday Ticket here´s the deal. You can´t cancel 2017 and get a partial refund to late to cancel. Further you can´t opt out of the auto/renewal for 2018 until the end of the 2017 season which I will do. I had to chat with a Directv service rep to find out here´s part of that chat:

"thanks so much for the info, I was checking on this for you, the option to stop the auto renewal will be available when this season ends, so we´ll be able to stop the auto renewal.
Andres P: We will also be sending emails prior next season starts to avoid auto renewals"

So Directv knows there will be some non renewals for 2018! So screw the leftist Goodell and the NFL owners siding with him. The leftists that are howling about President Trump´s right on comments don´t go to NFL games or even watch them on TV.

But it is sheer silliness for the President of the United States to get so time-wastingly and heavily involved.

Millions of veterans and their families agree and should support the boycott of every team/game where a player wants to kneel or make their "black power" sign. Before getting into their cars, NASCAR drivers and their teams stand by their cars for the national anthem, which follows the invocation. Many times when their families are at the track, they stand along side them. Some of the car owners do as well.

Fans in the stands rise, men remove their hats, and many bring their own flag to wave as they sing along.

#42 is right.

Now the Pittsburgh Steelers aren´t going to be on the field for the National Anthem.

On one side, they are not allowing their players to kneel, but they aren´t present for the Anthem and that is wrong too.

All of this crap has to let up. The division is going to escalate even further.

A part of me thinks the Anthem should be pulled from any home stadium where the players refuse to stand... But that is what the libs have wanted from the get go.

I loathe liberals.

Perfect example of what I was saying way back before the election. The reason the left hates trump is because he´s a hardcore moral authority who´s not afraid to tell the whiny left where to go. Obama would never have stuck his nose in the NFL mess,he probably would have encouraged it.People in Obama´s state dept.would have dropped dead if if he called lil Kim rocket man. They hated it just as bad if not worse when Palin stepped up just because she´s a woman. This country was really on the path to hell until Trump came along. It´ll take the rest of this and next term to flush out the rest of the nonsense like the deep state undermining his agenda.

Go Trump,go Judge Moore.Let´s put the Ten Commandments back in plain view!

He´s not asking them to stand up him but stand for the 2 biggest symbols representing the US. The media, Hollywood, NFL , emmys, academy awards, music awards are all an embarrassment to the country. Not standing is a slap in the face to the military .

Maybe the NFL should think about changing their logo, as it appears to stand today, clearly the NFL would not want to keep a logo that appears to derive from the colors that make up the American flag.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday criticized President Donald Trump´s policies, warning that he risks driving Iran towards nuclear proliferation and worsening a standoff with North Korea if he ends the nuclear deal with Iran. “If you want to negotiate with (North Korean leader) Kim Jong Un, and your goal is to avoid war and try to be able to have a diplomatic resolution, the worst thing you can do is first threaten to destroy his country in the United Nations,” Kerry said in a private lecture delivered at Geneva’s Graduate Institute, according to Reuters. “And secondly, screw around with

In the roughly three months since President Trump chose John F. Kelly as his second chief of staff, observers have puzzled over the retired Marine general’s occasional scowls and downcast gazes, wondering whether he and Trump, with such different styles and backgrounds, perhaps weren’t working well together. Kelly, the military man trained to respect sharp lines of authority and tradition, uses terms like “information flow” to describe the discipline he tries to bring to a chaotic White House. Trump, the impulsive businessman and reality-show veteran, delights in flouting authority and upending norms of the presidency. But Kelly’s extraordinary remarks on Thursday from

GERMAN special forces have arrested a suspect after a knifeman went on the rampage in the German city of Munich and injured at least five people. Police officer Markus da Gloria Martins said: "We have a suspicious person. We do not know if it is the offender yet but he fits the description.” “Until now we know nothing about the motivation.” They described the attacker as a man in his 40s who fled the scene on a black bicycle. People had been warned to stay indoors after the attack at around 8.15am local time at the Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn underground station. Police tweeted:

A PROUD patriot has slated social media giant Facebook after it banned him from using the word "English" in his profile. Electrician Tim Cox, 54, was given the nickname "English" at school and has been using it on his profile since he signed up to the site nine years ago. But it has now been removed by Facebook chiefs after a complaint from a fellow user. The site says the word "English" represents a violation of its policies on fake names, despite other profiles using the names of mass murderers like Peter Sutcliffe or Osama Bin Laden. Yesterday, many of Mr Cox´s friends

Ticket prices to see Vice President Mike Pence have dropped by almost 50 percent due to a lack of demand. Pence will be headlining a Republican Party fundraiser on October 26 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center where the lowest-priced tickets originally cost $275. However, although the event was announced weeks in advance, the group struggled to sell tickets, reported The Denver Post. So now it´s lowering the cheapest ticket to $150, a 45 percent discount. A couple can attend with a two-for-one deal at the original $275 price, down from $525. In an email written on Wednesday, Colorado Republican

Donald Trump sparked an international row today by linking rising crime in the UK to ´radical Islamic terror´. Stats show that his claim is both right and wrong, in that the number of terror arrests in Britain has increased in the past year, but they are still a tiny proportion of the 5.2million crimes revealed in yesterday´s reports. Home Office data showing the number of people detained over suspected terrorism increased to 379 last year - the highest since records began. But murders and attempted murders attributed to terrorism represent well under one per cent of the crimes cited in yesterday´s report, nearly

Former US Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama both attacked incumbent President Donald Trump without naming their successor. Former President Obama said at a campaign rally in Virginia: "We´ve got folks who are deliberately trying to make folks angry, to demonize people who have different ideas, to get the base all riled up because it provides a short-term tactical advantage." "If you have to win a campaign by dividing people, you’re not going to be able to govern them. You won’t be able to unite them later if that’s how you start," Obama added. Some people have too much time on their hands and so it was that one particular intellectual thought it was time to bring down Elie Wiesel a peg or two. In an article that ran with too many words – even one would have been too much – the intellectual accused Wiesel of putting up a false front; that in order to make himself more appealing, Wiesel (who left us last year) downplayed his anger over his suffering at Auschwitz, both as a public figure and namely in his ground-breaking memoir, “Night.” That’s the accusation. Also, according to that “expert,” whose name

The U.S. Senate probably will confirm President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Federal Reserve, but the process won’t be free of drama. Any of the five candidates Trump is considering for Fed chairman risk some uncomfortable moments before lawmakers. But each seems likely to secure the 51 votes needed to win confirmation, according to congressional aides, lobbyists and analysts. Trump is expected to make a final decision by Nov. 3, choosing between current Fed Chair Janet Yellen, National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn, Fed Board Governor Jerome Powell, former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh or Stanford University economist John Taylor. Former President George W. Perhaps as startling as the revelation that the FBI was investigating the Hillary Clinton/Russia/Uranium One collusion and that key figures like Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe knew about it and said nothing, is the refusal by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to remove the non-disclosure agreement gag order on the FBI informant who arguably could put Bill and Hillary Clinton and a few others in federal prison. In July, McCain disclosed he had been diagnosed with brain cancer and last month he said the prognosis was “very poor.” McCain, 81, was re-elected to a sixth term in the Senate in 2016. “This memoir will be about what matters most to him,

Former President George W. Bush emerged from retirement on Thursday to stage a broad attack on President Donald Trump and the movement that supports him. Without mentioning Trump by name, Bush accused him of “casual cruelty” in political discourse, of distorting nationalism into “nativism,” and of emboldening bigotry and white supremacy. He called for a renewed commitment to American global leadership and domestic citizenship. It was a call to national unity — against Trump and his supporters, who were reduced to labels and caricatures: “protectionism,” “isolationist sentiments,” and the like. “Too often, we judge other groups by their worst examples
