Keith Olbermann: NFL Fans Should Sit
During National Anthem To Protest Trump

Daily Caller, by Peter Hasson

Original Article

GQ host Keith Olbermann wants NFL fans to remain seated during the national anthem to protest President Trump. “This is simple: To defend OUR right to protest we as fans/consumers ALSO must not stand during the National Anthem until Trump’s threat ends,” the former MSNBC host wrote on Twitter Saturday afternoon. (Tweet) Trump asserted during a rally on Friday night that players who kneel during the national anthem should be fired. ) The president doubled down on Twitter Saturday morning. “If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL, or other leagues, he or she should not be

NFL fans should turn off the NFL and stay home to protest the NFL´s refusal to discipline their players, and stick to entertainment. None of us are allowed to do politics at work.

keith who??

When Colin Kaepernick started this nonsense, I felt I could ignore it because I really don´t care one way or another about sports...watching grown men play a child´s game.

To paraphrase another pundit...shut up and (sing) play, it is not about "you" and stop thinking it is.

I have had it up to there with bigoted blacks rubbing their racism in my face, I´ve never had the money or power to discriminate against anyone, and I wouldn´t if I could.

I understand this all started to bring attention to "all the "innocent" black men "murdered" by police. But if you look at the statistics, you notice two things:

1) A white suspect is more likely to be killed by police than a black suspect.
2) Most of the black men either refused to do what the police told him, or actually attacked the police.

Kaepernick´s time and popularity would be better served if it were directed toward educating young black men on how to be good citizens, and when they are caught breaking the law, do what the cops say.

Even if you think the cops are wrong, do what they say, and protest with a lawyer after you are in custody.

Olbermann has been unhinged forever. As Goodell´s "his comments are lies. Recall, when a sniper shot and killed 5 Dallas police officers and injured 7, the Cowboys wanted to put decals on their helmets to honor the 5 slain LEO´s. Goodell threatened to fine the Dallas Cowboys club and every player for violating the NFL uniform regulations. Keep in mind, this was a pre-season game.
The real reason was because the sniper was black and was a BLM supporter who claimed this was payback for white police killing "innocent" black people."

College games are more fun to watch anyway. Forget the NFL. Will not buy a ticket. Will not watch them on TV. I am sorry for those players who do show proper respect for the flag, the Anthem, and our country. Unfortunately, the league has allowed the actions of a few to affect the public´s perception of the whole sport when it was in their power to stop it.

I think what should be happening is that the BLM flag should be burned, sat on and walked on throughout the country. Guarantee you there would be outrage in the media and the Dems and Blacks -- yet we are not supposed to be outraged by Goodell and the kneelers. Despite what they say, their kneeling acts are disrespecting the nation. our anthem and out flag.

President Trump upsets the Mad Left so much. I´m sure he doesn´t mean to, it´s just that they´re so mentally diseased.

Now he´s upset them so much that they´re showing everyone how irrational they are. I don´t think that there was any avoiding it though, just the possibility of delaying it. But sooner or later, they had to come out in the open and show everyone that they are the enemy.

Bring it on, fools!

I prefer the idea that another Ldotter suggested a few days ago: Have all the people of faith (particularly Christians) take a knee and bow their heads in prayer for our country and those who put their lives on the line for us every day, and at the end of the anthem say ´Amen´ aloud and stand.

I say particularly Christians, because we´re supposed to offer a prayer for our country and her people every day, anyway. And I don´t know about the traditional obligations of other faiths in that area.

You´re right #20. And that´s because they didn´t study history. In England the first we learned in history class at a young age, was about our history: the vikings, our celtic groups (Wales and Scotland), our hero Queen Boadicea who went against the Roman Empire. What a rich history Britain has.

And America has a rich history too which taught in the correct prospective would be so interesting to young minds.

Olbermann, if you were able to comprehend what men before you in this great land, accomplished in the name of freedom and in the name of America, you would hang your head in shame.

Students who are not taught history have not been properly educated. It is IMO the most important subject in school, and again IMO, the most interesting. There are far better true stories to grab your imagination than anything fiction could come up with.

Trump is a genius. He single-handedly brought this act of disrespect out in the open, knowing that tomorrow the players are going to have to show their true colors when the anthem is played. How he can figure stuff like this out is truly amazing. Bring popcorn, folks. Tomorrow could well be beginning of the end for the NFL.

If keith had half a brain he would understand that those he is harming with asinine ideas like this are those he is claiming to help.. With that half brain he would come to understand enough economics to realize that the free market is punishing the nfl/players/espn/. That to continue this path will greatly hurt many young black men who have found football as a way to education and out of poverty. So keith who are you really hurting? Man, some people are so stupid there is no cure.

So my question: is President Trump using this ´lancing of the boil´ as a tactic to obscure some other trick up his sleeve? I am so glad he has done it - sadly people will hate him for it. Truly, standing for your national anthem [all over the world] is the most normal and honored conventions of any nation. That it was not nipped in the bud shows that the powers that be in the NFL are quite befuddled in their thinking about ´what is right´!

I know the Dems are happy with this, they hate the militaristic NFL. They like soccer for cryin´ out loud. The question I have, is why would the players go along with the stupid Dem demands? It seems in their doing so, once again, blacks are doing what their Dem masters tell them to do.
And they call black Repubs, Uncle Toms?... No irony there...

And they even clearer don´t have a clue about how much the average NFL fan agrees with Trump.

You know, the NFL fans that yelled loudly that their teams had better not sign a traitor like Kapernick, and that are staying home in droves due to the players that emulate him.

At 93, Jimmy Carter is cutting loose. The former president sat down with The New York Times recently and chatted about all kinds of subjects. The Times decided to play up the fact that Carter — one of the worst presidents in U.S. history — would love to go over to North Korea as an envoy. But the Times is steadily proving how out of touch it is, and how it no longer seems to actually "get" what real news is. Here are some major highlights from the interview: 1. Bowe Bergdahl, the Army deserter who walked off his base in Afghanistan, is whining that the US treated him worse than the Taliban. The 31-year-old sergeant told British TV journalist Sean Langan in an interview reported in The Sunday Times of London: “At least the Taliban were honest enough to say, ‘I’m the guy who’s gonna cut your throat.’ ” That got him less upset than the “administrative duties” the Army assigned him while awaiting trial, he said. “Here, it could be the guy I pass in the corridor who’s going to sign the paper that sends me away for

Actor Tom Hanks is blasting President Trump for his handling of a phone call to the widow of a fallen U.S. soldier, calling it “one of the biggest c**k-ups on the planet Earth.” "I´m only knowing what I read in the newspapers and what have you, and it just seems like it´s one of the biggest c**k-ups on the planet Earth, if you ask me," Hanks said in an interview with CNN. "This is a tragedy of the utmost consequence and it goes much longer beyond who´s going to come out on top of the news story. I think it´s

Perhaps as startling as the revelation that the FBI was investigating the Hillary Clinton/Russia/Uranium One collusion and that key figures like Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe knew about it and said nothing, is the refusal by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to remove the non-disclosure agreement gag order on the FBI informant who arguably could put Bill and Hillary Clinton and a few others in federal prison. It was said the Jeff Sessions recused himself from all things Russian because of election campaign conflicts but is it really because he thought it

The Nets invited a Brooklyn native to sing the national anthem at their home opener and she took the opportunity to make a statement. Justin Skye, from Fort Greene, took a knee at the end of the anthem at the Barclays Center on Friday night before the Nets and Magic took the court. The crowd reacted to her actions with mostly boos, according to the Associated Press. Specifically, Skye got down on one knee while singing the final line “and the home of the brave,” according to Metro News. Nets players locked arms while she sang. Skye is a recording

Freelance reporter and political consultant Michael J. Hout tweeted a photo of Hillary Clinton using forearm crutches during a visit to Yale Law School Saturday. Clinton’s use of the walking aide comes after breaking her toe during a UK book tour to promote “What Happened.” Clinton visited her alma mater on the same day she held a book signing event at the Wesleyan R.J. Julia Bookstore in Middletown, CT. The bookstore had strict guidelines for book signing attendees — “She will sign a maximum of two books for each attendee and will not personalize books,” posted Wesleyan R.J. Julia Bookstore

Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has completed his one-week sex rehab program. A psychologist taking part in his treatment told TMZ that Weinstein would remain in Arizona for a month or so after his week of outpatient ´intensive therapy´ ends on Saturday. Weinstein was ´invested in the program´ and had focused on ´dealing with his anger, his attitude toward others, boundary work and the beginnings of work on empathy,´ the psychologist told the outlet with Weinstein´s permission. The psychologist downplayed previous reports that the 65-year-old film producer had fallen asleep in group sessions and ranted about conspiracy theories. ´He showed up for all the

Let’s put the Uranium One scandal in perspective: The cool half-million bucks the Putin regime funneled to Bill Clinton was five times the amount it spent on those Facebook ads — the ones the media-Democrat complex ludicrously suggests swung the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. The Facebook-ad buy, which started in June 2015 — before Donald Trump entered the race — was more left-wing agitprop (ads pushing hysteria on racism, immigration, guns, etc.) than electioneering. The Clintons’ own long-time political strategist Mark Penn estimates that just $6,500 went to actual electioneering. (You read that right: 65 hundred dollars.) By

Barack Obama claimed at a campaign rally on Thursday for Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam that “democracy is at stake” in the Virginia governor’s race. Obama took to his first day back on the campaign trail to lament the way politics has turned “nasty,” and yet Obama melodramatically argued that Virginians need to vote for Democrat Ralph Northam because “democracy is at stake.” Obama told the Virginia audience, “America is a story of progress. Ralph Northam wants progress. He wants to take us forward, not backward. He wants to reach out for hope, not fear. We need you to

Former Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday criticized President Donald Trump´s policies, warning that he risks driving Iran towards nuclear proliferation and worsening a standoff with North Korea if he ends the nuclear deal with Iran. “If you want to negotiate with (North Korean leader) Kim Jong Un, and your goal is to avoid war and try to be able to have a diplomatic resolution, the worst thing you can do is first threaten to destroy his country in the United Nations,” Kerry said in a private lecture delivered at Geneva’s Graduate Institute, according to Reuters. “And secondly, screw around with

WASHINGTON – Washington Post Executive Editor Marty Baron said President Trump declared war on the press but the media is not at war with him, despite the “hostile” environment that’s been created. “The president on his first day in office went to the CIA headquarters and he said, I have a war with the press. The reality is we don’t have a war with him: we are not at war, we are at work. We are doing our jobs every day the same way we have always done it. You talk about fact-checking; we’ve had a fact-checker at the Washington

n Monday, Sen. John McCain denounced President Trump’s philosophy, agenda, and conduct. On Thursday, former President George W. Bush did the same thing. Neither mentioned Trump by name, but their target was clear. They echoed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who spoke out against Trump last year. These three indictments, issued by the men who represented the GOP in the four elections leading up to Trump’s, are more than ghosts of a dead party. They point toward an alternative vision of conservatism.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is no fan of President Donald J. Trump, but at a recent awards gala for LGBT youth, the bombastic Democrat made a disturbing claim that she would “take Trump out.” Kyle Olson of the American Mirror reported the statement on Friday, but Youtube pulled down the original video. At the Ali Forney Center gala in New York City, Waters jumped right into the liberal audience’s applause by making the off putting, only a mere four months after multiple Republican members of Congress were gunned down by a democrat mad-man who actually wanted to take them out.
