Sanders Inclusion in Healthcare
Debate Riles Dems

Washington Free Beacon, by Conor Beck

CNN´s announced debate over the new GOP healthcare bill has left congressional Democrats and reporters aghast at Sen. Bernie Sanders´s (I., Vt.) presence on the stage. The debate, pitting bill authors Sen. Linsey Graham (R., S.C.) and Sen. Bill Cassidy (R., La.), against Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.) and Sanders, will take place September 25 at 9:00 p.m., CNN announced. Graham and Cassidy´s bill is aimed at rolling back Obamacare ahead of the simple-majority reconciliation deadline on September 30. It focuses primarily on devolving responsibility for healthcare to the states. Sanders, meanwhile, has spearheaded efforts to

I hope that the free air time given to Graham and Cassidy to promote their bill is worth the potential circus that this sideshow may turn into. I wouldn´t trust CNN to brush the fleas off my dog.

Agree with #1 but it is an interesting concept. Let the politicians present their case to the people instead of waiting to pass it to see what´s in it.

President Donald Trump´s tax reform framework could raise GDP by as much as 5 percent and wages by as much as 7 percent, according to a new study from Boston University economists. "We find that, depending on the year considered, the new Republican tax plan raises GDP by between 3 and 5 percent and real wages by between 4 and 7 percent," the economists explain. "This translates into roughly $3,500 annually more annual real take-home pay for the average American household." Economists believe this growth can happen due to the plan´s aim to reduce the marginal effective corporate tax rate

Here are a few questions for Loretta Lynch that reporters, Democrats and many Republicans are afraid to ask because they won´t like the answers: Why did you threaten the FBI informant on the uranium deal with jail if he told Congress and the public what he knew? Should Eric Holder, Hillary and the Obama administration have approved the uranium deal to Russia knowing that they were under Federal investigation for corruption and kickbacks? Mueller was involved in the investigation, so do you think he should be investigating the supposed Russian collusion today? (Photo) Is there any way that Bill Clinton

Trying to quell accusations that he is ousting activists from the party´s left flank, Democratic Chairman Tom Perez told fellow Democrats on Saturday that unity is crucial in the fight against President Donald Trump, whom he lambasted as an "existential threat" to the nation. "We have the most dangerous president in American history and one of the most reactionary Congresses in American history," Perez said as he addressed the first Democratic National Committee gathering since his February election. The former Obama Cabinet official blistered "a culture of corruption" that he said extends to Trump´s Cabinet, House Speaker Paul Ryan and

As he tracked the ball through the air, Jose Altuve clung to his bat with his right hand. He ran most of the way down the first-base line this way until he was sure he had hit a home run, at which point he flipped his bat by the nearby coaches´ box. The heros were many in the 4-0 victory over the New York Yankees that punched the Astros´ ticket to only their second World Series in 56 seasons Saturday night at a raucous Minute Maid Park. Charlie Morton recorded the first 15 outs, Lance McCullers Jr the last 12.

Two supersonic bombers reportedly drilled alongside allies in Northeast Asia Saturday, reaffirming U.S. commitment to its partners and sending a message to North Korea and other challengers. B-1B Lancers, powerful aircraft carrying the largest conventional payload of guided and unguided munitions of any Air Force bomber, departed Andersen Air Force Base in Guam for the Korean Peninsula Saturday. They first joined up with two Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2s before joining up with two Republic of Korea Air Force F-15K fighters, the Pacific Air Forces Public Affairs Office said in an official statement. Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) attacked President Donald Trump for a phone call he made this week to a Gold Star family, claiming that he made “insensitive” remarks to a grieving widow – but in 2015 she made very similar remarks about two slain FBI agents. Wilson alleged that Trump told the family of Army specialist La David Johnson “something to the effect that ‘he knew what he was getting into when he signed up, but I guess it hurts anyway.’” “It was horrible. It was insensitive. It was absolutely crazy, unnecessary. I was livid,” Wilson told MSNBC in dramatic fashion.

Perhaps as startling as the revelation that the FBI was investigating the Hillary Clinton/Russia/Uranium One collusion and that key figures like Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe knew about it and said nothing, is the refusal by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to remove the non-disclosure agreement gag order on the FBI informant who arguably could put Bill and Hillary Clinton and a few others in federal prison. In July, McCain disclosed he had been diagnosed with brain cancer and last month he said the prognosis was “very poor.” McCain, 81, was re-elected to a sixth term in the Senate in 2016. “This memoir will be about what matters most to him,

Former President George W. Bush emerged from retirement on Thursday to stage a broad attack on President Donald Trump and the movement that supports him. Without mentioning Trump by name, Bush accused him of “casual cruelty” in political discourse, of distorting nationalism into “nativism,” and of emboldening bigotry and white supremacy. He called for a renewed commitment to American global leadership and domestic citizenship. It was a call to national unity — against Trump and his supporters, who were reduced to labels and caricatures: “protectionism,” “isolationist sentiments,” and the like. “Too often, we judge other groups by their worst examples

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) is not backing off her claim that President Trump disrespected a fallen soldier´s widow earlier this week. Trump phoned Myeshia Johnson to share his condolences for the death of her husband Sgt. La David Johnson, who died during an Islamic State ambush in Niger earlier this month. Wilson says she overheard some of the president´s words via speakerphone and swears she heard him insensitively say that Johnson "knew what he signed up for." President Trump rebuked Wilson on Twitter and called her a liar, but she has not changed her story.
