NFL players lobby Roger Goodell
for formal league involvement
in racial justice causes

Washington Examiner, by Emily Jashinsky

A team of four current and former NFL players is lobbying commissioner Roger Goodell to engage the league in fighting for the cause of social justice, even asking him to formally designate November as activism awareness month. Current players Michael Bennett (Seattle Seahawks), Torrey Smith (Philadelphia Eagles), and Malcolm Jenkins (Philadelphia Eagles), along with former player Anquan Boldin, sent Goodell and another executive a 2,800-word memorandum in August requesting the league invest significant resources in the cause. The memo, available in full here, is specific and thoughtful, but its requests would almost certainly prove divisive among fans, many of whom are

Comments:
Is Goodell stupid enough to do this? If he does he can just watch an even bigger decline in viewership. And you know if he doesn´t the protests from the losers like Kaepernick, et al will be massive. This is going to get ugly. Rush did a long segment on this today. He said you could buy a ticket to the game tonight of 49ers and Rams for the price of a pretzel at the concession stand. Link below. I have little sympathy for them.

These players have millions of dollars. Why don´t they start a social justice league and see how it works? Why would they get to tell an owner how to run a team he has paid a $1B for, and they have paid nothing?

If this continues, game tickets will be competing with concessions for the lowest prices we´ve ever seen. Because very few people will have any interest in such behavior. Even many sports casters are turning so hard left they can scarcely keep their leftist utopian traps shut.

Time for a pow-wow with Goodell, the NFLPA and ownership to "discuss" this stuff. Protect the shield, as they say. Don´t kill the golden goose is what they mean. They´re slowly choking that poor fowl.

marching across the field every chance they get raising black gloved fist.. Police brutality signs... along with others..WHITE supremacist.. White Nazis.... They would not be accountable for anything they do
I have had enough of the damn causes from the NFL... I am a cancer survivor. and damn it, I am totally disgusted when I see those princes prancing around with pink shoes pink gloves pink towels hanging out the uniform. Just stop it.Get back to the freakin game that got you the fans.. Stop all the craziness...
AND if the black players want to sit during the anthem ...good...they sit all damn game EVERY game

But the the NFL makes this their official policy, they are history and I will NEVER watch another NFL game.

Like other posters have said, this will be the last nail in the coffin of the NFL!!!

Afterall, Goodell has given them the carte blanche of taking no action so he must silently be condoning this rash behavior. Why shouldn´t he make half time "The ´N´ Word" Time! Mke all players wear black shoes and black arm bands. Change the touch down signal from two hands raised to that big single fist raised - All White players should be made to resign to make room fo mo black players. And they should not allow those ray-cist whites into the staydeeyum. And game shoudl only be played on black colored TVs..since mos TV is black anyway these dayz. Dat outta em-pruf da game. Formally aligning the league with leftist politics is bound to alienate at least half the NFL fans. If that´s what the league wants to do, they are also bound to have a lot less fans watching NFL football games in the future. That´s a business decision that the NFL will have to make for itself.

More than 150 Afghan troops brought to the U.S. for military training have gone AWOL since 2005, with 13 of them still unaccounted for and perhaps living as here illegal immigrants now, an inspector general said in a new report Friday. Part of the problem is that the U.S. never puts the trainees through an in-person interview and exempts them from registering as aliens when they arrive — both steps that other visitors would normally have to go through. In-person interviews and requiring the troops to register beforehand would help the government gauge whether someone is likely to go absent without leave,

Barack Obama claimed at a campaign rally on Thursday for Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam that “democracy is at stake” in the Virginia governor’s race. Obama took to his first day back on the campaign trail to lament the way politics has turned “nasty,” and yet Obama melodramatically argued that Virginians need to vote for Democrat Ralph Northam because “democracy is at stake.” Obama told the Virginia audience, “America is a story of progress. Ralph Northam wants progress. He wants to take us forward, not backward. He wants to reach out for hope, not fear. We need you to

The reality is we don’t have a war with him: we are not at war, we are at work. We are doing our jobs every day the same way we have always done it. You talk about fact-checking; we’ve had a fact-checker at the Washington

Let’s put the Uranium One scandal in perspective: The cool half-million bucks the Putin regime funneled to Bill Clinton was five times the amount it spent on those Facebook ads — the ones the media-Democrat complex ludicrously suggests swung the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. The Facebook-ad buy, which started in June 2015 — before Donald Trump entered the race — was more left-wing agitprop (ads pushing hysteria on racism, immigration, guns, etc.) than electioneering. The Clintons’ own long-time political strategist Mark Penn estimates that just $6,500 went to actual electioneering. (You read that right: 65 hundred dollars.) By
