North Korea ´preparing another

Undeterred by international condemnation of its latest nuclear test and a new round of sanctions, North Korea is reportedly preparing to carry out another underground atomic test. Satellite images taken since the regime conducted what it claims was a test of a thermonuclear device at its Punggye-ri proving grounds on September 3 have revealed mining equipment and heavy cargo trucks close to a shaft excavated to the south of the test site. Additional activity has also been confirmed at another underground access point, known as the West Portal. Analysts believe the damage caused by the recent test to subterranean

Comments:
Better start storing food supplies and water. this may get serious quickly as President Trump has not set what his trip wire on military intervention would be. setting off a bigger nuke would seem to be the case after the feckless UN warned them. The in-depth analysis and satellite imagery from "38 North" is a source I´ve used before and since and is mentioned in this article.

Might it be appropriate to keep an eye on Iran when North Korea is exhibiting dangerous behavior? The art of distraction serves many purposes.

Pardon me for a bit of "War Mongering" but our legions of highly paid, highly educated, Left leaning, champagne swilling, jumbo shrimp chomping "Diplomats´ have, after endless consideration, always decided to just give them more money and then much more money. So forgive me if I despair of "Diplomatic" solutions.

Each passing day strengthens the Norks.

So...how does waiting help America ?

Say nothing and nuke ´em now.

This morning.....not this afternoon.

Smoking either one of these countries will chill the other for years and send a message to other wannabees.

Don´t we have our missile defense up and running yet??

Shoot down their next "test" while it is still in North Korea Airspace just to show the Kim regime (and China) we mean business.

I still think Kim is saber rattling to weasel more money from our coffers...it worked with Bill Clinton.

Germany must allow citizens to select a third gender category on all official documents, a court ruled Wednesday. The ruling found that providing only male or female categories on government documents violated anti-discrimination laws and citizens’ constitutional right to privacy. A law has been in place since 2013 in Germany allowing parents to register newborn babies as neither male nor female if the child is born with characteristics of both genders. However, the new ruling goes further, establishing a deadline of Dec. 31, 2018 for the German federal government to create a new gender category or remove gender entirely

Toning down his criticism of China on his first visit, President Trump said Thursday that Beijing isn’t to blame for the mammoth trade imbalance with the U.S., and expressed the hope that Chinese President Xi Jinping will “work hard” to reduce tensions with North Korea. Emerging from meetings with Mr. Xi, Mr. Trump said the “very one-sided and unfair” trade relationship between the U.S. and China is actually the fault of his predecessors in Washington. He called Mr. Xi “a very special man.” “I don’t blame China,” Mr. Trump said. “After all, who can blame a country for being able to take advantage of another country for

Vatican City - Pope Francis is saying “Just Say No” to cigarettes. The Vatican announced Thursday that it would no longer sell cigarettes to employees in its duty-free shop and supermarket — giving up an estimated 10 million euros ($11 million) a year in profit. Francis made the decision because “the Holy See cannot contribute to an activity that clearly damages the health of people,” the Vatican said. A statement cited the World Health Organization, which says smoking causes more than 7 million deaths annually around the globe. A 2015 book based on leaked Vatican documents, “Avarice,” reported that cigarette

Now comes the hard part. Gliding to victory, Bill de Blasio was re-elected on Tuesday as the mayor of New York City, defeating his Republican challenger, Nicole Malliotakis, and a handful of independent candidates in an affirmation of his progressive agenda. Mr. de Blasio, the first Democratic mayor to be re-elected in a generation, since Edward I. Koch captured his third term in 1985, now has four years to further his goal of reshaping the city in his progressive mold. But his ability to deliver may have far more to do with the winds blowing out of Washington and Albany than with circumstances in the five boroughs.

When California lawmakers return to the Capitol in January, the state chapter of the NAACP will be seeking their support for a campaign to remove “The Star-Spangled Banner” as the national anthem.
