Bill O´Reilly Unrepentant: His Fox
News Firing, Trump´s Missteps and
a Possible TV Return

Hollywood Reporter, by Marisa Guthrie

Original Article

The former king of cable news enters THR´s no-spin zone to discuss his exit amid harassment claims, the president´s Charlottesville remarks, Megyn Kelly´s Putin sit-down and his latest ´Killing´ book. Bill O´Reilly has scores to settle — with his accusers, the media and the "far-left precincts" that have "viciously attacked" and plotted to "destroy" him. But on this September afternoon, the former king of conservative cable — host for 20 years of Fox News´ top-rated The O´Reilly Factor — is trying his best to play nice. He (gently) chides President Trump for his comments about some neo-Nazis being "very fine

President Trump DID NOT say that some neo-Nazis at Charlottesville were "fine" people. He said that some of the protestors, all of whom were not neo-Nazis, were fine people, And he was right.

I don´t want to see O´Reilly´s arrogance turned on the President. I´ve had enough of him.

I am not as great a fan of the "Killing" books as the rest of the world seems to be. I recoiled, for example, when in "Killing Lincoln" he said the a flag on land was flown at "half mast." As most people would know, a flag on land is flown "half staff." It was an error that shouldn´t have been missed.

"Killing Jesus" provided no new information for those who have studied the Bible and Jesus´ times. That would be any active Baptist, for example.

It is time for Bill to retire.

Mr. O´Reilly, they ease us all out at 65, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. It´s time for you to forget the past, and do something new, which I think you actually will enjoy more than ever, if you will embrace it.

Just as during the election, O´Reilly just has to get a dig in on Trump. To misquote and misinterpret what Trump said is unforgivable.

I will just add O´Reilly to my list of people to not read, listen to or buy any of his books.

The belated attempt by the left to cover their hypocrisy on sexual predators by throwing Bill and Hillary Clinton under the bus now that they have no further political use for them is staggering. They forget their mantra that his being serviced by Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office was personal and didn’t matter as long as he was doing a good job as President. It was the GOP, you know, that was waging a war on women.Republicans were the predators, as serial accuser and so-called feminist lawyer Gloria Allred reminded us when she appeared with a box of tissue

Finally, after four and a half years, harassment of conservative groups by the Obama IRS is put to rest, with the media downplaying the story.A William McGurn column in the Wall Street Journal, November 21, stated that IRS-Tea Party litigation had been settled. A New York Times story on October 27, 2017 reported that the government, in one lawsuit involving 428 groups, "agreed to a multimillion-dollar settlement," and that, in a second lawsuit comprising 41 groups, damages will not be paid, "but the I.R.S. acknowledged its conduct was wrong." Realistic political analysts have always believed that their dominance of mainstream media has always added to the vote totals of Democrats and progressives. President Trump´s excoriation of fake news is an attempt to lessen that advantage by helping credibility erode faster than ever from the major media outlets. But now a different kind of threat is emerging, and we can expect screams of outrage if a couple of billionaires follow through on moves being hinted at. Following the example of Jeff Bezos´s bargain-basement purchase of the Washington Post, a couple of major media properties may fall into conservative hands and

The pro-immigration lawyers are apoplectic, which is always a sign for celebration. As in other Trump achievements during his first year, the President is accomplishing a cutback on foreign tech workers displacing Americans entirely on his own. The Republican Congress remains stubbornly opposed to the immigration restrictions Republican voters want. The main tool at President Trump’s disposal is the appointment of a new agency head, in this case Francis Cissna as director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), who came on board in October, followed in swift order by the novel idea of actually following the law and scrutinizing

Recent pics of Malia Obama showed her kissing a tall, athletically-built white male who was most likely a fellow university student. It seems normal enough, right? She’s a young woman, he’s a young man – so what’s the problem? Well, apparently many in the Black community find what she did to be an appalling act of…racism. The onslaught of negativity directed at the daughter of the former President is both shocking and troubling. The ever-widening use of artificial lights is making the nighttime Earth glow increasingly brighter, with the amount of global light growing about 2 percent each year. That worries advocates for the protection of dark skies, who say that artificial night glow can affect wildlife like migrating birds and keeps people from connecting to the stars. What´s more, they say, all that wasted light sent out into space is effectively wasted money.
