Top House Tax Writer Says Overhaul
Framework Coming Week of Sept. 25

Bloomberg Politics, by Erik Wasson, Sahil Kapur

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 9/13/2017 11:53:54 AM

Kevin Brady, the chief House tax writer, told the chamber’s Republicans that White House advisers and congressional leaders working on a tax plan will release a framework the week of Sept. 25. The document will include “core elements of tax reform” agreed on by the so-called Big Six, Brady said Wednesday. (Snip) The other members of the Big Six are House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Hatch of Utah, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn.

Comments:
First, we have the "Gang on Eight" in Congress. Now, there is a "Gang of Six´ making our tax reform policies in government. Look at the list of members of Congress and be very afraid of what may be their recommendation. Stay tuned in two weeks and see how it falls apart and is watered down and NOT what President Trump (US) wanted.

Fox News, by Staff    Original Article

President Trump accused Iran of collaborating with North Korea to strengthen their missile technology Saturday evening in a Twitter post criticizing the 2015 nuclear agreement between the U.S., Iran and five other nations. "Iran just test-fired a Ballistic Missile capable of reaching Israel," Trump wrote. "They are also working with North Korea. Not much of an agreement we have!" (Snip) Trump posted the tweet hours after Iran claimed to have successfully tested a new ballistic missile capable of reaching parts of the Middle East, including Israel. The missile, known as the Khoramshahr, has a range of 1,250 miles and is

Iran’s provocative actions have threatened the free world, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Saturday after Tehran claimed to have tested a ballistic missile with multiple warheads capable of hitting Israel. “This Iranian missile launch is an act of provocation and defiance against the United States and its allies, as well as an attempt to test them,” Liberman said, (Snip) The new ballistic missile has a range of 2,000 km. The distance by air between Israel and Iran is 1,800 km. (Video) Iran said Saturday it would keep developing its arsenal, despite US pressure to stop. Free speech week: The circus is back at
Berkeley (and there are plenty of clowns)
Fox News, by John Yoo, Steven F. Hayward,    Original Article

The circus is returning to the University of California, Berkeley, as a sequel to rioting in February by black-clad protesters angered by the campus visit of conservative speaker Milo Yiannapolous. The goal of the protestors then and now is simple: demonize and silence conservatives. Shamefully, the Berkeley rioting was permitted by a hands-off attitude by university administrators. After a now-departed chancellor and his aides ordered University of California police to stand aside, rioters set fires, inflicted $100,000 in damage to university buildings, and prevented Yiannapolous from speaking.

Seoul, South Korea - North Korea has long cultivated an image of defiant belligerence, punctuating its propaganda and diplomacy with colorful threats, insults and bluffs. But Kim Jong-un’s personal statement released on Friday, and his foreign minister’s threat to test a nuclear weapon over the Pacific Ocean, represent a new level of brinkmanship by the government. (Snip) The North Korean news media carried photographs of Mr. Kim sitting in his office and reading his statement, but his voice was not broadcast. On the country’s state-run Central TV, a female announcer read his statement.

Israeli planes have reportedly fired two missiles which hit near Damascus, targeting an ammunition facility belonging to Lebanon’s Hezbollah, according to a Lebanese TV station citing “informed” sources and various social media reports on pro-Syrian webpages. Israeli forces are reported to have carried out attacks from outside the Syrian border early on Friday, according to the Lebanese Al Mayadeen. It said the strike led to a fire, with no casualties or disruptions at Damascus International Airport reported. Pictures allegedly showing the moment of the attack have emerged online on Arab and Hebrew-language social media. (

Trump calls North Korea’s

President Trump on Friday labeled Kim Jong-un a “mad man,” shortly after the North Korean leader had called him a “mentally deranged U.S. dotard.” “Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn’t mind starving or killing his people, will be tested like never before!” Mr. Trumptweeted. Mr. Trump was apparently responding to the North Korean leader’s reaction to the president’s address to the United Nations. “Far from making remarks of any persuasive power that can be viewed to be helpful to defusing tension, he made unprecedented rude nonsense one has never heard from any of his

For the more than five million Puerto Ricans living on the United States mainland, it was bad enough to watch news reports on Wednesday of Hurricane Maria ripping through an island where relatives and friends lived. What made it worse was not knowing how their loved ones had fared. With the entire power grid knocked out and with more than 95 percent of wireless cell sites out of service, communication was all but impossible on Thursday, and an already emotional day became even harder for the Puerto Rican diaspora.

President Trump persuaded China to freeze all financial transactions with North Korea and ordered a new round of U.S. sanctions Thursday, closing out his first U.N. General Assembly with a major diplomatic victory in his efforts to curb Pyongyang’s nuclear weapons and missile programs short of war. Mnuchin called the head of China’s central bank very early Thursday to alert him that Mr. Trump was preparing an executive order to sanction any financial institutions doing business

If NFL fans continue to turn away from football, the TV networks could lose as much as $200 million in earnings, according to a new report. After ratings for Week Two crashed, adding to the angst already felt by a poor showing in Week 1, industry insiders and analysts are sounding the alarm. A new report claims that CBS, ESPN, Fox and NBC could take a $200 million hit to their estimated $2.5 billion in NFL advertising earnings if fans continue to turn off the TV, the The Hollywood Reporter noted recently. His pre-dawn raid was meant to intimidate Manafort, not just to collect evidence. Robert Mueller’s sprawling special-counsel investigation is playing hardball. It was not enough to get a search warrant to ransack the Virginia home of Paul Manafort, even as the former Trump campaign chairman was cooperating with congressional investigators. Mueller’s bad-asses persuaded a judge to give them permission to pick the door lock. That way, they could break into the premises in the wee hours, while Manafort and his wife were in bed sleeping. They proceeded to secure the premises — of a man they are reportedly investigating for tax and financial crimes, not gang murders and Mafia hits — by drawing their guns on the stunned couple, apparently to check their pajamas for weapons. Mueller’s probe more resembles an empire, with 17 prosecutors retained on the public dime. So . . .

There really ought to be a statute of limitations on how long John McCain can play the tortured war hero card. His war hero status was exhausted with me a decade ago over a single instance. Brad Smith, who as chairman of the Federal Election Commission and law professor dared to criticize the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law on constitutional grounds (later vindicated in several Supreme Court cases culminating in the glorious Citizens United decision), came before a Senate committee one day to testify about campaign finance laws. He had recently had surgery, and had to appear in a wheelchair. Smith wheeled himself
