Senate, led by frightened GOP,
passes worthless anti-KKK resolution

Washington Times, by Cheryl K. Chumley

Senators on Capitol Hill passed this week with both speed and unanimous voice a resolution that condemns white supremacist groups and that suggests President Donald Trump ought to do the same. This strikes as a frightened, “Hail, Mary” move to save their own political seats. And don’t forget: Republicans are in the majority. Rather than signing their names to meaningless political documents that give leftists more fuel to toss on their anti-Trump fire, Republicans could instead talk about the evils of racism by mentioning their own party’s support for the Civil Rights Act — and their Democratic colleagues’ unfortunate stand on the

Comments:
I wouldn´t sign it. These type of political "outrage" comes from the innate fear of being politically correct. But, to whom or what? My point is, who dictates this sudden "consciousnesses" as right or wrong? That would be a "witch burning" or "lynch mob" in the old days.

How bout our elected officials stop wasting their time on useless preening and actually start doing necessary things like tax reform, the border wall, and a healthcare repeal and replace. You know, those things they were voted in for because they promised to do something about it. I dont remember this useless garbage being a part of any campaign.

There are many outrageous things that politicians do, but this resolution really frosts me.

To give fuel to all the Dems by validating the false premise that President Trump didn´t properly condemn hate speech after Charleston, is totally insulting. And then, to add a clause that the President must issue a proclamation against White Supremacy is outrageous. Who are these snotty politicians who have the audacity to moralize against the President?

This is more than passive-resistance. This is a personal attack on the President and all of us who understood exactly what he meant, and condemn ALL hate groups...right and left.

I recall a story my Grandmother (who passed away in 2003, three weeks away from 100) told me about her younger cousin John who ran out in front of a KKK torchlight procession
and shouted directly at the lead guy:

"What men are you - hiding behind sheets!"

the little guy was all of 10 years old but he took everyone by surprise - townspeople that had been out and about that evening had been silently watching - someone laughed and then that broke the spell entirely that the sheet wearers were trying to conjure.

Aren´t these Antifa people the same thing, except they cover themselves in black?

NBC insiders are going to need some serious convincing about Megyn Kelly’s new show.
