White House: DOJ ´should certainly

Fox News, by Alex Pappas

Original Article

(Video) - The Department of Justice should consider prosecuting James Comey for his “improper” actions while serving as FBI director, the White House said Tuesday. Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, argued during the daily press briefing that Comey’s actions as FBI director “were improper and likely could have been illegal.” Asked if President Trump wants the Department of Justice to prosecute Comey, Sanders said that’s “something they should certainly look at.” Sanders said the former FBI director “politicized an investigation by signaling he would exonerate Hillary Clinton before he ever interviewed

Comments:
Advice to Comey, who has trouble telling nothing but lies" Get a good lawyer, bodyguard, and safe house. Things get dicey when Hillary's name is tied to it.

FTA: “‘The president is proud of the decision that he made,’ Sanders said Tuesday. ‘The president was 100 percent right in firing James Comey. He knew at the time it could be bad for him politically, but he also knew and felt he had an obligation to do what was right.’ She added: ‘He’s very happy with the decision he’s made and I think he’s been fully vindicated.’”

My, my, my. Bannon certainly did a fine job baiting the enemedia hook during Old Charlie’s interview. By “revealing” he felt the Comey firing was a political mistake he knew the jackals would run to the WH looking for blood. Instead they get confidence in the decision and an opening to publicly throw the ball into DOJ’s court. I’m still holding my fire on Sessions’ seeming inaction in the belief that he is playing possum and luring the Deep State into a false sense of confidence, a la Hillary!. The DOJ is the center of the Deep State resistance and I believe the most difficult nest of vipers to clean out. I’m willing to be patient. Time will tell.

Swamps are major obstructions when laying new track but they can be dealt with in many ways. Draining is often the first choice of action, but sometimes its not feasible. Alternatives include bypassing around the muck, or building a trestle bridge over the mire. If the swamp cannot be destroyed it can be made irrelevant. The Trump Train will not be stopped.

MAGA – In myriad and unexpected ways.

Minnesota Lt. Gov. Tina Smith was appointed Wednesday to temporarily fill the Senate seat of Democratic Sen. Al Franken, who resigned amid allegations of sexual misconduct and pressure within his party to leave office. Smith, a Democrat, was appointed by Minnesota Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and will serve until a special election next year to complete Franken’s term ending in 2020. She is expected to run to finish the term. Dayton was under pressure from Washington Democrats to appoint a replacement who would run in 2018. The 59-year-old Smith is a former General Mills executive who in the 1990 started her own

President Donald Trump has spent the better part of his campaign and now, presidency, railing against the media, calling out its members for bias, condemning certain networks for outright targeted take-down attempts of his administration — and according to a new study from the Media Research Center, he kind of has a point. Specifically, the study showed that in September, October and November, almost 91 percent of remarks from reporters’ and other so-called non-partisan-types’ mouths during evening ABC, NBC and CBS broadcasts were anti-Trump in nature. Ninety-one percent. That’s pretty dang significant.

Kampala, Uganda - For years African leaders have toyed with the idea of free movement by citizens across the continent, even raising the possibility of a single African passport. Now some countries, most recently Kenya, are taking bold steps to encourage borderless travel that could spur trade and economic growth in a region in desperate need of both. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta announced during his inauguration last week that the East African commercial hub will now give visas on arrival to all Africans. That follows similar measures by nations including Benin and Rwanda. The African Union continental body has cheered

The left, including much of the media, are going nuts now, drooling at Michael Flynn’s guilty plea as if it’s the final nail in President Donald Trump’s coffin — the long-sought means to the impeachment end. It’s not. That’s ludicrous. And the more hours that tick since Flynn announced his guilty plea, the more ludicrous the left’s wild-eyed panting seems. Here are the facts: Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about communications he had with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak on Dec. 22 and 29. Special prosecutors, investigators, and counsels are usually a bad idea. They are admissions that constitutionally mandated institutions don’t work — and can be rescued only by supposed superhuman moralists, who are without the innate biases inherent in human nature. The record from Lawrence Walsh to Ken Starr to Patrick Fitzgerald suggests otherwise. Originally narrow mandates inevitably expand — on the cynical theory that everyone has something embarrassing to hide. Promised “short” timelines and limited budgets are quickly forgotten. Prosecutors search for ever new crimes to justify the expense and public expectations of the special-counsel appointment. Soon the investigators need to
